So close, no matter how far Couldn't be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are And nothing else matters Never opened myself this way Life is ours, we live it our way All these words, I don't just say And nothing else matters Trust I seek and I find in you Every day for us something new Open mind for a different view And nothing else matters Never cared for what they do Never cared for what they know But I know So close, no matter how far It couldn't be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are And nothing else matters Never cared for what they do Never cared for what they know But I know I never opened myself this way Life is ours, we live it our way All these words, I don't just say And nothing else matters Trust I seek and I find in you Every day for us something new Open mind for a different view And nothing else matters Never cared for what they say Never cared for games they play Never cared for what they do Never cared for what they know And I know, yeah, yeah So close, no matter how far Couldn't be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are No, nothing else matters
I'm getting into arranging myself currently. And Wow I'm amazed at how far one can take the piano if dedicated to it. The way you add complexity to this song is a great example of that. Huge inspiration!
I bought the sheet music for this a year or so ago, it's my stretch piece (in more ways than one!) so I still play it regularly. Thank you for recording this so I can see how you play it!
Thank you very much for your comment :-) You can of course share your favorite names, but I don't allow links to other UA-cam channels in my videos, sorry.
Hello Yannick! I'm having a great time at your channel this morning! I am so glad I found this in your collection! I LOVE Metallica and this is my favorite! Your arrangement and playing are excellent and I love your interpretation. I always love seeing how various musicians arrange things and this was a great treat!!! This is the one Metallica song that I actually arranged and recorded myself a few years back. It's an absolute joy to play! Thank you for your artistry and wishing you good luck with your channel. You are a gifted musician :-) BRAVO! ~Jackie
It reminds me of the Wednesday episode but its 1944 and your a German Officer who works in Auschwitz Birkenau writing in a diary of advancing Soviets. It shows him at a desk and occasionally shows the camp. Its the cold winter and you can hear his voice saying everything being written down and at the solo it shows a scene of prisoners getting off the train at night with Nazis all around, dogs barking, and in the back you can see giant chimneys puffing out ash and you can also see its heavily snowing. Don't ask I just got bored.
Oh, I would love to. Tried Comfortably Numb in the past. But to be honest, it always felt like something was missing. The deep sound of the band is not very easy for one piano, I think you really need 2 people in order not to lose too many harmonies.
Oh how great, thank you very much :) Any plans to record it? I am currently working to rerecord One after all these years again! No Muse or Rammstein yet. Any Muse suggestion? Rammstein is super difficult to be transfered to the piano (because of sound, not technality).
Not planning to record it cause im to shy and play like shit when I know people listen haha! Hard to choose a Muse song... Butterflies and Hurricanes got an amazing piano part, Space Dementia, United States of Eurasia is really fun to play, New Born, Sunburn, Unintended, The entire The Resistance Album. Muse likes Chopin so they got many nice pieces for piano :D
Hi, I just bought your sheet music because I truly loved it!! But now I am 3,5 hours further en don't have a clue how to play this with Synthesia (midi). The site said it was possible but I don't know how? Can you please help me? I paid for it right?
Hi Sanne! First of all: thanks for your support! :) To help you, I need to understand what you're exactly talking about. 1) where did you buy the sheet music? Musicnotes? 2) did I get it right: you have the sheet music but you would like to play it with a midi file? That's why you mentioned Synthesia? Thanks for clearing up! Yannick

I’m going to use this for my wedding
Unless you have cemetery gates
I was very much an amateur on piano a year ago, now i’ve learned this whole song (my dads favorite)! thank you!
Hi Bianca, thanks so much for your feedback, it means a lot ♥ I would love to hear you playing it, did you record it?
@@YannickStreibert I’ve recorded a snippet of the beginning on my phone if you’re interested in hearing it! Should i send an email?:)

Lots of chords, sixths and arpeggios. Great and complex arrangement!
Thank you so much for your feedback! It's one of my favorite arrangements. And easier than Orion I guess.
Nothing Else Matters piano cover? Yes, this one sounds amazing, nice play!!!
Thank you very much! :)

And thanks for the wishing towards my channel. Let's see how it continues
Well that was absolutely insane.
Thank you very much, Jessy!
Great interpretation!
Thanks a lot!
I think the joke about Stirlitz and Lars is no longer relevant .. The party requires more metal on the piano, but I love you
I don't need the music sheet, no chance on earth I can replicate this. 😅 Maestro level interpretation.
Thank you very much :)
Masterfully done.
Thank you very much, Darrell!
Thankyou so much 👍
Thank you as well :)
Çok güzel bir cover yaa. Kendi dilimde yazmak istedim çünkü duygularımı ancak böyle ifade edebilirdim.
