My SIL and I split a 100g skein of sock yarn into two 50g skeins and share with each other. That way we get to try more yarn dyers and yarns. If your sister likes knitting socks, you ladies should totally do this!
Sorry for you lost. I love your top and it looks great on you . By the the way your so pretty . Kepp smileing and always remember the good time with your grands .
So sorry for your loss. I am thrilled you are back! You were one of the 1st knitting podcasts I discovered and I love ya!! Thanks for keeping me company while I fixed a mistake on the tank top I'm knitting.
I'm terrible and am about 3 weeks behind on my Watch Later list. Loved starting my Saturday with this tho! BTW, if you drive to CA and go thru AZ, lmk cuz I'm right off the freeway if you need a pit stop.
So sorry for your loss 🙏🏻. Congratulations to your sister on her wedding…best wishes 💍 🎉. A video of your WIPS would be fun! I LOVE the flappy bug and pollen sock set…gorgeous colors!!
I completely understand how you feel, when my mom passed my daughter was devastated because they were great friends. She was also sad because my mom missed her HS graduation....(she also passed on my bd). She was 85. You can make beanies with self-striping yarn, I made a papillon shawl, but that's a LOT of short rows...(it's a lot easier than it looks too). The Addie's are SUPPOSED to be the same thing, just European and American names, I didn't realize they were different sizes. 🙄 LOVE latch hooking!! I've done those since I was in single digits!! 😂🤣😂 In fact, I have one I need to finish....I was using "scraps" & making a rug that looks like a granny square blanket. Love the copper fit gloves, I've slept in them too 🤷 they just feel like its hindering when I knit.....but I WILL use one of those salonpas patches. My godson has a baby due in September too, it's the FIRST girl in 10+ generations!!! Everyone is so excited! I made a blanket with an acrylic boucle (brown/gold/grey), a garter stitch corner to corner, & a "rosebud" baby sweater...made a 3 month size, just to see how it worked up, looks like a doll sweater!!😂 Gonna make one in 18month too. (It's free on ravelry). On my page too. 😉 I think the "bug" names are perfect!
Oh Patti I'm so sorry for your loss too🖤🖤 AH another latch hook lover!!!! Omg I have a feeling that baby girl is going to be spoiled by Patti Knits!!!!
Virtual hugs! Hope you stay busy. I saw on your IG. So hard to get motivated after it all. Glad you are making new memories! Hang in there Congratulations to twin, Presley, on your wedding. Always remember communication is important but has to be 2 sided! Remember to breathe and love like no tomorrow!
On your leftover self striping sock yarn...do helical knitting starting from inside and outside of the skein, or split into two skeins...start each on a different color and the colors will stripe small and be so different even though it's the same yarn! It's so cool. Or...make some hats for charity...cancer hats or babies.
Addi sizing drives me crazy! It took me a few pair of socks before I realized that their “US 1” needles I was using, were actually 2.5 mm - which is a US 1.5. Normally a U.S. 1 is 2.25mm. I use the Hiya Hiya Flyers flexible needles and really like them.
So what do you do with items you finish, when you know you will never wear or use it? I have to admit, I've even donated some of my "I will never" projects to Goodwill.
I usually hang onto them for about a year, and if I haven't moved it or worn it- It gets thrown in the gift pile! I've also donated a few older WIPs and yarn to a senior center!

Hi Macy Lose of loved ones is really tough, but you’re always loving, remembering and caring about them. It helps comforting oneself.❤
🖤
Eek! It makes me so happy you wear that cardigan! I really want to make myself one now
Macy I'm with you about slub. I learned a long time ago I hate anything not smooth or a weird texture.
Love your V Back sweater.
I would love to see all your WIPS.
🖤
hold slub with suri silk and oh wow does it flow off the needles

Self striping yarn makes fun ribbed beanies in crochet. But you could also make a snake stuffy. That would look really cool!
You can make a beanie with the rest of the self striping sock yarn. I did that and it’s my favorite hat!
such a good idea!
I would love to see a video on your WIPS that would be super cool! 😊
Yes do a WIP parade

I love the split the skein idea! I've never thought of that!!
I've been wanting to knit a Cargill in Shellphone paired with Nanna's suri or mohair : )
omg that would look so pretty!!!
Use the leftover to make a Musselburgh hat. Just switch to a solid color when you run out and that solid color will be on the inside of the hat.
oh what a fun reversible hat!

Glad I'm not the only one!!
I looked on uour site and didn't see the pollen and floppy bug set. I do hope you still have it. I need it for my husband. BtW,I am in Arlington, TX.
The sets go in my shop update tomorrow morning at 11am!
Hi I would go with a psychedelic frog. A collection of memory frogs instead of a memory blanket. 😂😂
OMG this is the best idea!!!
Aquila, The lefty knitter, has a podcast where she shows how to make an I-cord on the knitting machine. 👍🏽☺️
Ooo I need to watch that!
You can make a fingering headband or carry it with a solid yarn and make a thicker headband.
oo good idea!
