until about a year or two ago this was a regular cafe/bar. it was self service and you just took your drinks from the glass fridge in the cafe. it was called Bar Ruso back then. (russian bar). i dont know if the rebrand was because of the current state of the world...by the way there is a second "Malabar" in Torrevieja in C/Maria Parodi.
We have walked past the white church a number of times and noticed the folks eating by this open Plaza. The Malabar looks pretty good to me - we'll definitely have to try out their menu del dia. Thanks for your lovely review! By the way, we walked all the way over to the Pink Lake this morning and followed the trail out to the edge looking for the baby flamingos (no luck). I think they may have headed off on their way south. Chow, chow for now.😉😊💓

Hi Mike and Yvonne we are over to playa flamenca in a few weeks and will definitely be looking at the menu del dias ourselves. It’s a hard job but we will do our best 😁
Hi Rob, thanks for watching and for your comment. Yes, it's worth a visit. They seem to keep their prices down by having a smaller selection of dishes i.e. Meat or Fish for main, salad and bread to start and just pineapple or brownie for dessert. Hope you are well, Mike and Yvonne.
poly-technic ! , that pigeon came to say, on ya bike mike. well i was not too impressed with that meal and i didn't think you were too, main looked dry and over cooked, (wheres the gravy) just bland and unexciting. pity they dont pay as much detail to there meals as they've done to the look of there frontage of the cafe, not the type of place for a return visit, some of the others you were at had excellent quality meals but maybe not so exciting backdrops, sometimes these cafe owners need to check out there competition, this would improve there own, unfortunately this is why they go under because learning any business is knowing your business. great topic guys love seeing you both, mike. yvonne. al si-thi
