    Notes:
    - don’t play too loud, as a rhythm player!
    - beats 1 and 3 with wrist only, and 2 and 4 with whole arm
    - halfmute all chords with left hand
    - don’t overuse embelishments
    - don’t use upstrokes as rhythm player, untill you’re experienced player
    - do use chromatic shifts on chords that lasts more than 2 bars
    - do keep form of the song
    - practice with original recordings, than record yourself without metronome to see if you keep the tempo
    Thank you for great lesson!

16:43 The best metronome training advice I have heard. This is my first Christiaan video. And won't be my last. Thank you Christiaan.

Thank you Christiaan. Great tips on the basics which are all too easy to forget as we progress. I'm planning on coming back to this now and again.

Ah, that's how you do it! I'm already getting bad habits. Stumbled across this at just the right time. Great teacher Chris, thanks very much.

Enjoyed the rhythm review. It's always good to review the basics and make sure we haven't drifted away from what works best. Looking forward to the next video.

Just to thank you. With corona in Australia, I am at home, trying to learn Manouche guitar off the internet. An aside; my good friend in Samois lives in the house opposite, within 5 metres, of the house where Django lived.

Wow I am jealous of your friend. We go to Samois most years for the Django festival (even though its now mainly in Fontainebleau). We stay in a place just around the corner from Django's house. It's such a beautiful place to be. I have the ambition to be able to join a Jam in the Lutherers tents and not make a fool of myself.

    Hi
Is the Rosenberg academy geared more toward advanced gypsy jazzers?
