- In Southern Indiana are three incredible worlds, unknown to most people. They are hidden in basements of little-known museums, time capsules of worlds that no longer exist. One of these miniature worlds, is actually the largest on the planet, and world renowned!
Come along for an adventure, as we explore these amazing, miniature worlds!
Thank you Roger. Another nice road trip from the comfort of my comfy chair with a cup of coffee. Love traveling with you 😊
Glad to have you along for the virtual trip, Mary! 🙂
I grew up in Southern Indiana and didn't know about any of these! Definitely on the road-trip list this summer.
My gosh, how much more is there to discover about Indiana? Love the trips you take us on.❤
Just when I think the tank is empty, there’s more! 🙂
Another place to take my grandson on a weekend adventure, if I can get him away from the video games, thanks again Roger.
Definitely putting these attractions on the must see list
Love all that miniature stuff! That was great. Thank you
Thank you Roger, quite the productive week on your channel
Knocking some of these smaller ones out. 🙂
@@AdventureswithRoger🤭...smaller...I geddit 😉👍. Fun video, I'd like to go back to those days ❤
Good, decent people, much simpler times. I’d take it!
@@AdventureswithRoger 👍👌
YOOOO I used to see the miniatures from the NAFC library all the time growing up!!! They used to be in the Carnegie building though (it was the old library as well) and I actually didn't know they were moved to the new one. Absolute art gem of the Midwest, and it's so cool to see someone on a trip to go see them lol
Never heard of any of these Roger. Thanks for sharing with us!
That was a fun “little” adventure. Thanks Roger!
Thank you for today's trip Roger💙
My pleasure!
Again, You have given us a wonderful film Roger! Growing up we took many trips around the US as my mother was a teacher and had the summers off. My parents explored our home state of Michigan and all of it's interesting things. I now wish that we would have gone to Indiana too! I am so happy that you have made these films! Thank you very much!
I don't understand how every Hoosier isn't subscribed to this channel ? You should have a couple million subscribers ! ❤
Spread the word! 🙂
@@AdventureswithRoger already on it brother !
Very cool. I'll be in Salem and the knobstone trail next Wednesday. I'm going to check this out.
Just north of the depot is a pioneer village, and north of that, a great local history museum.
g/m Roger, tyvm ... love your stuff, great with coffee in the morning ;-]
Hope all is well with you & yours ❤
Good morning! 🙂
I’ve been watching for a few months now and I like the way you have been editing the videos lately keep it up
Roger I had seen the one in French Lick So I have another good trip to take.
Roger thanks for your great work.
Papa&Luvy
Ty Roger really interesting 👍 🏆🏆😎🙏🙏💙
Thanks for sharing , 👍👍👍
I did not know about the Hegenbeck Circus or the exhibit in the museum. Road trip!
Southern Indiana has so many interesting places to see. West Baden Resort is beautiful. Nice video
It really does! I started this channel to document places people could visit on the weekends, thinking I’d be done in three months. That was over 6 years ago! 🙂
I spent my early years (from age of 5-13) in Floyd county (Floyd Knobs)... I have not been back in decades. I find this very interesting as we had nothing of the sort when I was living there and I am (now) a life-long modeler myself. :)
For a long time, the dioramas were at the old New Albany Carnegie library. That’s where I first saw them.
I was a little boy when they built the NAFC library....I used to go admire this when it was in the Carnegie library...
That’s where I first saw it, at the Carnegie. They renamed the old library last year, have not been back to check it out
Wow Roger, that was great. I'll have to add these to our travel list. Thanks for sharing
I remember back in the day when the Children's Museum had something similar they had a whole thing of trains and all kinds of little small towns
That was a really good one, I miss it.
I was born and raised in Salem Indiana and had no idea about the miniatures museum...I'll have to check it out next time im in town. Awesome video
I also liked the museum north of the depot and village.

my grandfather had a huge 7 train set-up in our basement at one time including all the buildings he did himself by hand
I would love to build one again.
cool vid Roger! More places we have to check out! Thanks!!!
Always love finding these hidden gems!
Very good video Roger!
Thank-you!
Your content is always amazing. If you ever feel like visiting a castle in charlestown let me know. I work at it.
Took a photo of the front, but there weren’t any events going on when I visited
@AdventureswithRoger if you ever want a tour let us know. We'll be hosting a fair this year in September and October
This is a great video. I recommend adding maps of where these are located to encourage people to stop and visit.
Also a small little train set (25¢ to operate) inside the bakery/donut shop in town square of Salem. 😎
Great apple fritters too!
Great job Roger. Have you found any silver mine yet? Try around Ft. Ritner, bring rope to rappel down the bluff.
Stopped looking for silver. Rely on views for pizza and gas money. 😂
Thank you my wife is from shoals.
Martin County is one of my very favorite areas to explore.
😮You would enjoy Tinkertown outside of Albuquerque New Mexico
I’ve been considering a trip to New Mexico for quite a while, but had not heard of Tinkertown. Thank you!
Good things come in small packages 📦
My wife is under 5 feet tall. One of her favorite sayings is, “Dynamite comes in small packages.” She is absolutely a force to be reckoned with! 😂
There used to be a miniature circus in Nashville, IN. I saw it many years ago when I was a child. I don't think it is there anymore. The one in French Lick looks a lot like what I remember in Nashville. Could it be the same one? If not, what happened to the one in Nashville? Any clues? BTW Nashville would be a great place for you to do a video!
I don’t remember a diorama at Nashville, but I do remember the Dillinger Museum. Have been trying to track down where all the artifacts went, after they were moved to a northern Indiana museum, and it also closed.
Here’s a segment I did on Nashville:
Brown County, Indiana: A lot like Gatlinburg, but much closer to home!

do you know about the ubehlor farm near bristow with the 10 commandments engraved in a giant cliff face? could be a possible place to check out
Are you thinking of “St Joseph’s Holy Family at God’s Country”? There is a huge rock with the 10 Commandments on those grounds, I filmed it for the segment below.

thats the place, spent alot of time there as a kid when joe ubelor was still alive. we used to call it "the country" before it was semi opened to the public. tried to get married in the chappel, but the catholic church wouldnt recognize it. lots of memories made on that farm
@bwilkinson6901 Very beautiful place that I’d overlooked for many years.
Roger, you've never made a video I didn't like.
There’s always tomorrow! 😂
