I love the extra cladding. It is a must in northern Minnesota, unless you prefer damage and rust. We also have a Volvo XC60 and is very close in style and design. Sexy and sporty.
How do you feel about that decision 6 months later? What kind of lift kit did you get? I like the idea of all terrain tires. What size did you go with for tires? Thanks
Cx5 is more comfortable inside, looks better. But because it's lighter probably drives a little better. Don't like the high cladding. My son likes cx30 better cause it's more sportier he says. Both great vehicles!
The CX-5 is way bigger, they are completely different cars. The CX-30 better compares to the Mazda 3. The Mazda 3 is the most fun to drive in my opinion, but I needed a bigger trunk so I got the CX-30 instead.
I wonder when a CX-30 hybrid is finally coming. It would be an absolute beast of a car with the Toyota RAV4 or even Prius hybrid system. It's the same platform as the CX-50 and could be made at the Alabama plant with the Toyota hybrid system.
@@Unchainedmaple888 yeah, that’ll be interesting. I think they just brought that mild hybrid because the additional privileges hybrid vehicles get over here. For instance, Mexico City restricts certain non hybrid vehicles, based on license plates, on days with high pollution levels
I wish the CX-30 Carbon Turbo was just this (Polymetal Grey plus red interior) but with a turbo. I'm not a fan of the sand color and even a white option would've been highly appreciated like how the CX-5 Carbon Turbo has a white option.
Literally the only thing that stopped me from giving this serious consideration is the wall of black cladding on the sides. None of their other vehicles look like this(even the supposedly more off-roading 50 has normal amounts of cladding). This isn’t a Crosstrek. I heard early on it’s because this is just a lifted 3 and the proportions would be off if it was all body colored fenders. The cladding is a way to mask the fact. Whatever the reason it’s a no go for me.
There is a video on UA-cam of a guy who painted his CX-30’s cladding to match its body paint and it looks SO much better. The cladding on the current model is a hideous joke. Personally I think the CX-50’s is excessive too, but not by as much. Then on the lower trims of the CX-5 they paint match the trimline which a lot of people seem to like but I much prefer the black trim around the bottom. It seems Mazda can only do too much or too little
I just got mine yesterday thinking about the trunk . So I go get groceries today and am looking for the unlock bottom on the fob and don’t see one. I spend 30 minutes on UA-cam trying to locate it on the fob and where the manual lever is. Well, there’s neither! I thought in 2024 that all cars would have a manual lever at least. But nope! I can’t believe that a $30,000 doesn’t even come with a lever. The only way to open the trunk is by by hand. Same goes for closing. I’m disappointed with that. But other than the trunk issue, it’s a cool car.
Is there any way to acquire an OEM black grill/trim piece? There are aftermarket options but they look cheap. I’m disappointed Mazda doesn’t offer it as an option
Over time I've become more okay with it. Absolutely hated it at first but honestly speaking the cladding does help a lot with paint chips. I have a low vehicle with no cladding and I already have so many damn paint chips
I bought one last week with two young kids, they love it. Plenty of room and fun to drive. Now, if your kids are 6'3" they may be uncomfortable. The CX-30 is a great family car.
Love my CX-30…They bunch way above their weight!
I have a 2023 model, and it has been a fantastic car so far! Love the color combination of the Carbon Edition!
Just purchased one today. Love it! 🥰
I have a 2020 fwd … put 235/50R18 tires on … handles like a dream, … brakes,oil and tires. 60 thousand miles
Awesome!
Mazda really needs to black-out the thick front chrome trim & side pieces as well. Same with the silver roof rails.
I love the extra cladding. It is a must in northern Minnesota, unless you prefer damage and rust. We also have a Volvo XC60 and is very close in style and design. Sexy and sporty.
I bought this model 2 days ago but I added the lift kit and the chunky all terrain wheels. It’s stunning now.
How do you feel about that decision 6 months later? What kind of lift kit did you get? I like the idea of all terrain tires. What size did you go with for tires? Thanks
I feel the bose speakers system should come in carbon trims
I 100% agree. They were removed for chip shortages. Can’t we get past that by now? 😢
I have the Premium and i love it just wish the red interior was available with the bose.
Yes that would be great!

That would be interesting. The tell-tell for CX-30 is what happens with Mazda3. Could be hybrid, mild hybrid, or full EV
In Europe it's a Mild-hybrid.
I got the 2.0L Mild-hybrid, it still burns a bit too much fuel for my taste but I love it!
We got a mild hybrid version in Mexico. Doesn’t get that much of a better fuel economy though
@@Ldiaz08 yeah that's why I want a full on hybrid getting 200 HP and 50 MPG

I agree, should’ve had two options. And I’ll always love a Polymetal Carbon with Turbo 😍
Love my Mazda cx 30

I got my CX-30 in white to accentuate the contrast. I love it!
I would love to see some painted cladding in the future. However, some exterior colors do look great with it.

At that point simply buy the Mazda 3, which doesn't have any cladding.

Can you get the traffic sign recognition system on this trim?
Why would they not black out the grill? Ughhh
Yes, that would really be special.

My only complaint with the Mazdas is the 2nd row legroom. I wish they could increase it especially on the Mazda 3s and the CX30s.
I agree. I would give up cargo space for more legroom.
Why the grille is not blacked out? Great video as usual sir.
Good afternoon)
What do you think is the best skin color to choose for yourself white or red?
Sincerely from Russia 🤝
I want one!
is the infotainment touchscreen for the 2024?
yes it is
Why put the turbo in the back good luck on repair it
I thought the Carbon Edition only came with the sand color.
is the infomation screen a touch screen?
Wow no touch screen radio
Not sure who actually likes that 5 inches of cladding over the wheel wells wow 😳
That’s my one big ick about this car 😢

The Mazda 3 is basically the same car without cladding if it really bothers you.
Being in a state that salts their roads in the winter, it was a selling point 😁

No black headliner is the deal breaker for me
They blew it not putting the larger touchscreen in it.
great car if you have no kids.

Everything looks great except for me I can't stand electric parking brake hopefully companies get away from that
No i-stop on this model? (Let’s hope not)
Correct, none
Nice car. I sent you an email
Thanks, I’ll check it.
