Starchild by Waliou Jacques Daniel Badarou / Mark King / Philip Gabriel Gould

This series has certainly gifted me with some guilty pleasures, and this is with no exception one of them. When I was a kid, I’d sneak my brothers bass into the basement when he wasn’t around and figure out how to play along with his record collection, which at the time was all over the map.
The Clash, U2, Depeche Mode, Japan, The Jam, The Police and one of the heaviest influences in my early years was Mark King of Level 42. A year or so later, I got my very first bass and here’s one of those songs I listened to endlessly.
With great pleasure here’s our take on Starchild by Level 42 featuring Lester McLean on vocals, Peter Kadar on keyboards, Don Pham on drums, Will Hebbes on guitar and me (Steve Pelletier) on a Seldon Guitars Ranger Prototype bass I had the pleasure of babysitting, with video by Michele Gare.
