Dude. LOVE the video!! The quad looks amazing with the black and orange. Those RJWC pipes...As always, they sound great! All the guys who worked on it did great work. The tracks are crazy but they look good. Looked like a helluva lot of fun up there in that snow. I am surprised that Ranger did make it further, BUT, that kind of snow, with the depth AND off camber, makes for stacked variables against you, well, him, as we saw. Haha. Can’t wait for Part 2!

@@ostacruiser You're one fortunate son of a gun brother! I think it is absolutely, most definitely safe to say that you sir, take stock BRP CanAm's & turn them into the most epic, capable, and beautiful machines known to mankind! BRP should damn well be giving you the stock machines for free given the outstanding reputation you give them and if not for that reason alone, then just for the sheer fact that you show just what is possible to be done with their awesome products.
I been watching your channel for years, never before commented, yet here I am checking out Project Yeti in January 2020 (I must have missed this build somehow - perhaps due to the fact I sold my ATV & SXS back in early 2018 and transitioned my hobby back over to riding adventure & supersports motorbikes).
I love what you do Ostacruiser - you truly are a huge inspiration. Unfortunately where I live in Spain, BRP isn't a brand that has a strong dealership network and the Polaris network reigns supreme, at least in my region. That's not to say that if given the option I'd wouldn't choose BRP over Polaris, because I would, every day of the week. So my SXS was a Polaris RZR 1000 XP & my ATV was a murdered-out all black Suzuki LTZ 400. Got rid of my off-road machines and opted for road based fun on all our awesome mountain switchback roadways with one of my bikes still capable of tackling fire roads and light offroad work, enough to keep me satiated anyways.
All the best brother. Keep inspiring the world with your awesome take on turning stock machines into beasts of the backcountry.
      🤙 ✌

I see what they are going for and after reading a few of the comments i have to say that i get it-- versatility. Snow sleds just aren't much good without snow, but think about rescue teams trying to access an injured person in warmer weather. With the tracks they can handle the muddy, mountainous terrain down in the valley yet not get stuck as they go higher in elevation encountering snow. If a helicopter rescue is out of the question due to high winds then a pair of these could be the next best option for packing a patient onto a Ranger decked out with a battlefield medical gurnee/sled/board and dragging them all the way off of the mountain... I think that they may need to think about putting a V shaped drift buster plow on the front to help manipulate the environment for passage. Or even encapsulating the under-carriage and suspension with a steel/ballistic poly/carbon fiber underside deflector to deflect deep snow because it's fighting it's way through the snow too much instead of gliding over it like it needs to be doing-- i know that it would take some time and effort but just try "fabing" one up anyway and installing it just one time and see if that doesn't drastically improve both performance and reliability-- especially with age on mountainous terrain because that would even offer protection against riff raff and rocks as well. If it works you could almost line the reflector with a thick layer of spray foam for extra protection and buoyancy on water maybe-- who knows what the possibilities are there for the guy ambitious enough to do it. If you could get it to float a little-- not saying make into a damn boat either-- just so that it was more inclined to stay mostly at the top of the water for crossing streams. A unit like this could have a seriously good demand with either/both military or law enforcement. That Ranger could make an efficient battlefield ambulance even... These guys have taken it this far so what's a little further? If you could get a contract like that to build similar units you would be set for life and that would be extremely fun to experiment with builds for the military using equipment like this in an area of expertise that you are familiar with already...? What's not to like about that possibility...? Anyway good luck guys!

    • @DrLove911

As long as you want something like this . You'll always be piss poor. These things are a problem guaranteed. Where would you find parts that didn't cost you an arm and a leg. All that crap is custom made. And you can have just as much fun on a $1100.00 Chinese ATV. Looks like junk to me. There's kids starving to death . And people invest fortunes into this kind of junk. It's ok to look and wish. But if I had one wish . It would have absolutely nothing to do with this . Where would you keep this thing? And how much would you ride it? . It's worse than owning a boat. Maybe you should check into renting one. You might not even like it.

Don't blame you a bit, there's no way you're getting that thing unstuck by yourself, unlike a snowmobile!
I run a 2005 MX-Z renegade, so I'm pretty much stuck - proof in Ontario, but I've never really taken it into serious hill country, except around Collingwood, Blue Mountain area - been stuck, but never badly enough to need help 😂
