"Hello Marty,
I just wanted to tell you how much I cherished the opportunity to work with a legendary master-genius such as yourself. Hang on a minute-with all these compliments…Anyone could have played pit boss Billy Sherbert in Casino, but you chose me. Tell the truth, Marty-it was the short money and I had no dialogue. What a thrill to be standing next to the great Robert De Niro, though, who kept mumbling, "You know, Marty's my best friend… you know, Marty's my best friend." And I said, "Stop already, Bob! I know you guys are best friends!" Meanwhile, you paid so little that my wife and I were living in a cardboard box off Hollywood Boulevard. You didn't care-you had a Manhattan townhouse, and mumble-mouth Bobby was making a billion. Okay, I'll see you at the movies, Marty. Waitaminute-what movies? You're doing commercials now. Well, if you need a spokesman for a "Spider" enlarger, I'm your man. As ever, Don

😂 Rest in peace hockey puck. Thanks for all the laughs you brought us.
If you have seen the outtakes from "Casino", you would see that he is still the funny man that he is. Favorite outtake was the scene DeNiro was talking to him on the phone. hysterical.
so that’s 2 wontons & 2 egg rolls. ok got it…😅
I love the crew laughing in the background at Rickles quips, you see it in a lot of his interviews, that's just how funny he was.
OMGoodness. I was dying of laughter! Rickles' impression of DeNiro is hilarious!
"Martin Scorsese is certainly one of the Directors of our time" LMAOO he did the thing!!!!!
wow didn't even pick up on it, truly ahead of his time
You will always be truly loved and deeply missed, Don. Your heart was the size of Texas.
“Where’s my phone books??”👍😂
Ya gotta luv Rickles…. Makes you laugh even when you know all the lines!!
Rickles always said the things everyone was thinking but to scared by PC to say! So glad we have these priceless clips! And Tom Synder was just the best interviewer! I used to watch his show back in the 70's and 80's. A master and when he laughed, it was genuine!
Don Rickles was the KING of insult comedy. The people he slammed were his FRIENDS!!! His stuff is so off the wall that you HAVE TO LAUGH at it!!! 😂😂😂😂
The king of comedy
He was no Soupy Sales, but the late great Mr Rickles was indeed one very funny fellow.
@@jubalcalif9100😂😂😂
I like the one, when hes talking about DeNiros breathing technique xD
Its true, though, breathing is everything :)
Don was Best such Great Man in life Truly missed GodBless you Don ❤️🙏
You can hear the camera man laughing 😅

What a fantastic guy!
The man is UN.......STOPPABLE!!!! LOLOLOL 😂🤣
Great Video
What a great channel this is!
I wish Dan Akroyd was doing the interview as Tom Snyder
Excellent movie and good grief, this interview was hilarious.
❤
Who wants to be on the Jerry Lewis Telethon ? By himself ?
What is the name of the classical music piece at the end?
Bach, Cello Suite No 1. I think that's the Prelude.
I think if Don didn’t like you at all, he would never make a joke about you.
Once upon a time in Hollywood, it must have been a right of passage to have Don Rickles insult you. That was surely an "I have arrived" moment because he tended to "target" some top-tier industry talent. I think Rickles kept Hollywood from getting too "puffed up" with itself. Too bad he's not around now to burst some bubbles and "bruise" a few egos.
Because Letterman is a comedy show, the other one is journalism
Okay….Clint Eastwood in a pickup truck, no knowing what he’s doing….
“They shoulda hit DeNiro because he was annoying.”
A cosmic cognitive dissonance if ever there was one. Rickles. Not annoying?
Casals? Tortelier?
so you suppose to allow don rickles to hit you?!
😮💨
Don is subdued in this interview. Otherwise you know he’s going after Tom Snyder’s ridiculous hair
Scorcese is not even CLOSE to being "one of the directors of our time"!
He,s no Groucho Marks.
Legend...
