I absolutely LOVE your channel. I just found it yesterday. So I am a maniac, a crazed person, a fanatic over Goodwill Outlets. I’ve visited them all around the country. If someone asked me how I’d like to spend my birthday I’d say we need to go to an outlet! I’m a 72 year old retired teacher. It keeps me young. Thanks!
So glad I found you!!! So many ideas, and I love how you style your items! Feels like I have a new person to share my love for thrifting and creating a cozy home with my newfound treasures.
I like your channel … glad I found it. So many channels I follow are strictly vintage hunters or toy hunters … the items you buy are really up my alley 🎉😊❤
I have ALWAYS….LOVED DARK ESPRESSO BROWN!!! Paired with Tan & Pure White, is very…CLASSY!!! You always amaze me by your finds & inspirations!!! Thank you for sharing!!!😊😃😁
Yes! I agree, so pretty Rosie! When renovating our home 6/7 years ago, grays and light wood were all the rage but I decided to go with dark wood floors and greige walls to warm up the space. Couldn’t give up those warmer tones. 💕
Hi there, you found some lovely things when you went bin shopping! BUT I could not do bin thrifting… Everything is all layered upon layers…and that bothers me because of the potential damage to everything in the bins…items could SO easily get broken…and not buyable anymore! And I guess I wouldn’t do too great when people are lined up to quickly dig for what they want! I really enjoy thrifting a lot but I deeply appreciate not being pressured and visibly see and check out what I would love to purchase! Different strokes for different folks! Your flavours of decorating are awesome! ❤
Thanks for sharing Katherine! I totally understand that digging through the bins is not something everyone enjoys!! I started shopping there when I was pregnant with our first and saved so much buying baby clothes by the lb! When we bought our home and started a renovation, I began finding items for our home at such a huge discount over other stores, and thus began my love for finding home decor items. :) I too enjoy the normal thrift stores! They feel so luxurious in comparison to the outlet! 😆 Later this week I will be releasing a video where I shop non-Goodwill Outlet thrift shops. Hope you enjoy! 🙂
I am a fan of the Goodwill outlet stores. Ours closed when Covid started a cpuple years ago. So sad as I went about every couple of weeks. Towards the end of closing they mostly just had clothes. It wasn't as attractive to me as I like hardwares. I checked it out anyway. Love the items you purchased and how you styled them.❤❤
Thanks for sharing Carol. That’s too bad! I hear that some are much better than others. Hope you’ve been able to find some other fun thrift stores. Thanks so much for watching! 🙂
Oh bummer! I definitely have days where I feel like I’m not finding much, or that I have to stay quite a while before they bring out anything of interest. Hopefully one day you’ll have a better experience at the bins! Until then, thanks for watching April! 🙂
I’m so glad I found your channel! Thanks for taking us along for your thrift store shopping trip. I love the way you up cycled and styled your purchases.😊
What you found is a wooden masher that can be used when canning or cooking. We use it to make sauerkraut. They’re very useful and is great for kitchen decor too.
Great content! When I saw the Crate and Barrel candle holder, I thought it would be cool upside down. Put a plate on it for a riser on a buffet. Find a pot to fit in the center for a plant/greenery holder. I’m sure there are other ways to use it upside down.
Awesome finds! I loved everything but the vignette made with the large basket tray, long floral stems, and brass watering can was especially beautiful!

I like orderly shopping. I’m amazed at the things people find in the bins. It’s the last chance before it goes to the dump, right?
WOW!! So many awesome finds for such great prices! I really enjoyed tagging along seeing your finds from the bins. Also, seeing how you upcycled the items was so inspiring.
I love finding items for my home but not used them for their original purpose as you did with the metal rack that likely held pet food bowls. Lovely job on changing the appearance of the large wooden bowl.
That’s so great! Yes, finding new ways to use items definitely helps create beautiful/ unique home decor on a budget! Thanks so much for watching! I’m so glad to have you here! 😊
Hi...I've been watching your channel for a while now, repeatedly I have to say...lol....I felt the need to say that I love watching your channel, ideas, and everything else... Tiffany, are you allowed to walk us thru any of the premises you style for your job as a realtor? I have a friend here in Sydney who contracts to different realtors doing this. Would you ever consider having aFB group that those following you, could put their variations of your thrift projects on, if they are inspired by yours? Sherry if Cantebury Cottage does this.

Just found your channel and am enjoying your videos! I've never been to the Goodwill Bin but you scored some great items. Appreciate the tip about how to determine if something is brass or plated.
New subscriber 👍 looks like you had a great haul! How often do you put up new videos plus do you resell some of your items or just keep them for yourself? Looking forward to catching up on all your videos👍
Welcome Pat! I do my best to get a video posted each week. Being a Realtor, I am able to keep some of it for staging homes, some I use in our home, some I give to friends and family, some I sell. I am currently trying to connect with various organizations and ministries that may be able to offer home decor to those settling into homes that may otherwise not be able to afford home decor. Thanks for watching, happy to have you here! 😊
Tiffany, where are you located ? There's so many items I would love to bu. Your channel is awesome The items you chose are the same ones I chose Our styles are the same Do you have a sight where I can purchase something ?
Just come across your channel I love it!! I'm a huge fan of good will bins😊 How do you sanitize your items?? Such as that brown basket? Thanks in advance
Welcome Sandra! Anything that I can put in the dishwasher or washing machine, I tend to do that, and good ol’ soap and water is the best method I’m aware of for things like baskets. I would love to hear if you have any other suggestions. :) Thanks for joining me here on my channel! Happy to have you here!
@@tiffanygemmer-DIYdesign baskets I wash them with soap and water and a little brush. Let them dry in the sun. I'm in California so have a lot of that 😉
Hi Donna. Possibly, I have a few votes that it’s an antique masher, but 🤷🏼♀️. I’m always finding interesting things there! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! 😄
New to your channel. I am enjoying this video. The concept of the Goodwill Bins is totally new to me. Does it cause a frenzy with people fighting over items, or is it a one at a time shopping experience?
I had a lantern that had a flame less candle and a place inside that I didn’t have another real candle or flameless one that would fit and not leave the rim visible. I cut out a round piece of cardboard to fit and spray painted it the color of the lantern. It worked pretty well.
Welcome Denise! So happy to have you here! Oh yes, it can certainly get a little crazy in there at times. Sometimes there are a few aggressive shoppers. When they bring new bins out, sometimes I just stay back until it quiets down a bit. For the most part people are fairly considerate of one another. it is definitely a unique shopping experience!
Your Goodwill stores carry better stuff than the thrift shops in my city. Would love to find good stuff like yours. Do you keep everything you buy or is it for resale?
As a real estate agent, some of the items I set aside for staging, some I use in our home, some I give to family and friends, and some I sell locally. My goal is to get the rest to ministries/organizations that can pass them along to those settling into homes who might not be able to afford home decor. Thanks for joining me here! 😊
Hi Cheryl. Sorry to say I made it. You can too though! I bought a thin sheet of sanded plywood and cut it to the desired size and painted it white. I then stained some 1x2 boards for the frame (I used Minwax Special Walnut). Next I cut grooves in the inside of the frame boards (with a table saw) so I could fit the white sheet of plywood into the grooves. Then I attach then frame. If you have a vinyl cutting machine you can cut it the letters, if not you can order them on Etsy or at a print shop. Apply and you’re done. 😁
