Hallo Jonathan, try a cavesson. They are for lunging, but the cheap ones are just halters with rings on the noseband.

Hello, I am enjoying your videos.
I have a new horse, 10 yr old Appaloosa Morgan gelding.
He's AWFUL. I'm not sure how to get through to him. He kicks and bites... vet, anyone in this stall, chiropractor... Bucks when riding... I've had him for 2 months. Tried to correct him. Moving his feet, lunging.. Backing up .... Around pen... People tell me to hit him. I don't agree , any help would appreciated. Thanks in advance!
If your horse made sour faces, kicked and bit a higher horse out in the pasture would that higher horse offer him a carrot or would that higher horse kick and bite and drive him off aggressively multiple times until your horse got the picture? Ponder that and then you will know what to do.

Yes my husband, and the many ppl along this journey have tried that. Lol. Hasn't helped yet. He's very stubborn. I will do that and see what happens. Wish me luck.
@@jessjones8592 Don't be afraid to amp up the pressure and be as firm as you need to be. No matter what you have to do, do it. It still wont hurt that horse like another horse kicking or biting him would. Whip, stick, whatever you need to apply pressure without getting in harms way.. Don't let it continue until someone gets hurt. Best of luck.
@@sunrise7ranch85 Hi, yes I did that yesterday... Things were going great until my husband showed up... At that point I instantly became second in the heard, husband first... He tried to kick me then ran into his stall... I went after him and chased him out of his stall... Started again...lol. He's something else.. I'm learning..
Hi Jess, it sounds like your horse needs to learn to make better choices. Although you have to physically stay your ground on occasions, there is more to it than that. I'm sure you know that and it sounds like you have some experience with horses. Either way, I would be happy to help.
