@@vodkarage8227 It's also a matter of exposure. Movies are so full of special effects these days we've been desensitized. Even the adults were having their minds blown when Jurassic Park first came out. We've unfortunately hit the point where we're gonna need something incredible to give us those feelings again. My guess is the first true VR film will be that item. Something where you watch the movie play out around you as if you were personally in the scene. I've watched simple versions of that, and even though VR is still very primitive and early in its development it still blew my mind. It was a little claymation-style animation that took place on a small 'stage' about the size of a table, and I could move around and look at the little characters in the story from any angle I could move to. It was spell-binding. So mainstream VR with fully-realized tech is what's gonna be the next thing that leaves audiences speechless is my guess. So... we've got a bit of a wait ahead of us 😕
It wasn't *quite* seeing it for the first time, since I have before, but a year back, having not seen it since many years prior, I turned on Jurrassic Park to watch just the opening. I don't remember why just the opening, but that was the plan... Ended up watching the entire thing start to finish. I'd forgotten how absorbing it was from the very first shot. Felt the same way they described at the end, like it was over and suddenly I was back and realized I'd watched the whole thing. Spielberg is a *master* of his craft.
I was four years old and obsessed with dinosaurs when this came out. Kids talked about it as the scariest movie in the world. I was simultaneously eager to see it but also terrified. I think I was five when I finally watched it and I only made it up to the T-Rex scene. I was afraid of that T-Rex for years afterwards when I was in my room or in a car at night I'd get this feeling of dread and an unshakable sense that the beast would come for me, and it could tear right through anything in its way.
Yeah. I really enjoyed their LOTR FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING reaction. TWO TOWERS felt very disruptive with the third person. Couldn't watch the reaction to the end.
"He used to hate the children so much that today he has to take care of the children" and he does so and keeps them safe just like anyone would..ngl bought a tear to me. I see no reason why saying someone has endearing qualities necessitates being patronising. It’s a pretty common thing to say. Most people have at least one endearing thing about them.
You are clearly a racist, its only endearing to you because they are POC that you look down upon but these guys are like good pets to you, how dare you...endearing? Really didn't want to have to put /s but you just never know anymore
It's amazing how attuned these two are to the themes of the film. They immediately picked up on the tension between Grant and Sattler over the children. Nedry as the security guard who steals from his employer, and Genaro's constant fixation with money and profit. Some of the more subtle references to these themes took me multiple viewings to sus out, but these two were catching every one immediately. Film is truly a universal language.
Jurassic Park, Terminator, Alien, Predator... those movies are 30 - 40 years old and NOTHING in our modern times has ever reached THAT greatness of impact on all movie franchises

True fact scientists found worms 40,000 years extinct that are viable in permafrost and they gave birth and have 100 generations. What if some bacteria comes from permafrost and it's something like these worms that we haven't encountered and it becomes "the last of us"?
Stan Winston created these dinosaurs out of foam, latex, and animatronics. He was a master and he hired masters for his studio, Stan Winston Studios (now called Legacy Studios after Stan passed away), located in Burbank, California. Amazing artist who recognized other amazing artists who create miracles on film.
I sorely miss the days of practical effects and real models used in films. CGI is cool and all but it just never really draws you into the story the same.
One of the more subtle messages of the movie (it's more obvious in the book) is also that Hammond, even though he "spared no expense", was actually really bad at it. He thought that just spending money on fancy tech could replace really knowing what he was doing, and as soon as that tech fails everything goes wrong.
I think Ian Malcolm sums it up really well during the dinner scene: "I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here: it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you even knew what you had you patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it, you want to sell it!"
also indicated by how he got the best guy to do all the technical stuff - but at the same time he relied 100% on that one person to keep everything together, sparing no expense but also leaving no room for failure. A fancy well engineered house of cards, but pull one card out and it all crumbles
watching this movie with zookeepers really put things into perspective. The animals had no toys or means of play. All the food was tied up and handed to them so they didnt need to hunt. No wonder the raptors and t-rex went straight to the first thing that moved, they must have been bored out of their mind.
It's also a lie. He didn't "spare no expense". He hired one man to write the code for the entire park and underpaid him for it. And that's not the only time he cut corners. If you look throughout the movie there are several incidents where things have been poorly made. The raptor transfer pen was easily broken by the raptor inside it. The helicopter's seatbelts weren't right. The ride was easily broken out of. The vehicle doors didn't lock. They never tested what would happen if they had to reboot the power. Etc.
I've long be a fan of the Jurassic Park franchise. This was the most wonderful, wholesome, and beautiful reaction to it that I've yet seen. The older gentleman just warmed my heart. Some of them are hit and miss imho. I like The Lost World and Jurassic World was alright, the rest were a bit too campy for my taste. The first two just had the most compelling story and action. The philosophy and dialogue goes a long way that the rest of the sequels were really lacking tbh. They're all a fun watch though.
@@lobot6894 I know how you feel. Ngl I only like Jurassic Park 1 and Jurassic World 1 and that's all 😂😅 The other part are a bit off for me, I just don't enjoy watching it as much as the first one. Though, I still wanted to see the villagers reaction to every part of the movie. It's going to be fun lol
I've been binging these lately, and one thing I think I love is that there's a particular innocence, or almost a naivete, in these guys. Not because they're "village bumpkins" or anything, certainly not. But because as a western audience that by and large grew up with films and cinema, there's a particular... I don't know, language, almost, to the way a film is shot and edited. We generally know what to expect and how we're going to get from A to B. We've been trained on the three-act structure, we know when to expect the climax, when an action sequence is just an action sequence and not a real danger, when and how we're being "manipulated" by the movie to feel a certain way or think a certain thing, we know about storytelling devices and axioms like Chekhov's Gun, for example. These guys are most definitely going to develop that over time, but for now, they don't have that, and it's beautiful to watch them just go along for the ride and enjoy it.
Babul is incredible. He is so into the movie and so animated its hilarious to watch his avtions and I love t when he claps . His reactions are priceless.

I love how they always show great appreciation for what is about to be shown. Idk if that is cultural or just them personally, but it makes it more fun. Like they're going in with a mind prepped to commend the film makers for effort and what they try to do, even if the movie won't be their favorite.
I'm glad they understood the message of this movie so well. I think the news of that submersible a few weeks back has shown that there are far too many real life John Hammonds in the world.

I wonder if more people would watch if there were actual translators for the cast... maybe a subbed video released alongside a dubbed video. Let people choose and then maybe more people would watch for their reactions so that they don't have to read. I know for me personally, sometimes I don't always watch because I'm in a situation where I don't have the ability to read a 15+ min video. Just a thought.
It just became available on my Patreon channel and I started watching Tribal People Try with Pakistani villagers trying American foods for the first time I love these We take so much for granted Eye opening view 😊
This is one aspect of the Internet that I celebrate. Being able to see people I may never meet reacting to some of the things I take for granted. We are not all that different though. I marveled when I first saw this as well.
That was great, I especially liked the older gentleman's song at the end...he's a fantastic drummer! His commentary about the gallimimus flock looking like ostriches was a terrifically smart observation, since birds really are dinosaurs. But they were both so astute in their observations about the dangers of tampering with nature through genetic engineering. This brought a big smile to my face and made me remember what it was like when I first saw this movie in theatres as a child.
Its all amazing that the dinosaurs where all animatronics or early computerized images 'CG'. (Animatronics = animated + electronics) Think giant sized puppits without strings. This movie is so iconic still, and it came out the year i was born. The effects and cinematography STILL look so good.
I was a child when this movie came out, and one night my parents stayed up late to watch it on the TV, so I snuck into the kitchen and crouched below the table to watch it without them knowing, and then the part where the T-Rex eats the lawyer I got so scared that I started crying and my parents found me and I got in tons of trouble. That was the first time I felt traumatized in my life 😂
What a great video. These two reacted pretty much the same way we all did, back in 1993. When you think about what movies with dinosaurs were like before 1993, then you realise just how insane Jurassic Park was. I was genuinely blown away by it. It's great to experience that people seeing it for the first time, will feel the same way!
I live alone now, i used to love watching movies with my family i miss having someone to talk to while watching. This is almost a substitute for having company while watching ❤❤❤
It doesn't matter how many times I've seen Jurassic Park, that scene in the maintenance bunker when the Raptor shows up behind Ellie will always get me with the jumpscare.
if i remember correctly too, It's a shame that we probably will never see that scene in full. Think they shot Samual L jackson's scenes of going into the bunker, but due to a fire at where the footage was being held, we lost all of it, and due to time constraints, they just scrapped the scene for what it is now.
@@Rainbow.Pegacorn.Cosplay whelp, i decided to just recheck that info, and i was kind of close. They had dates lined up for shooting the scenes with samual l jackson, but a real life hurricane happened around where the movie sets were and destroyed tons. The scenes ended up being scrapped. haha
I remember watching this in the theater in the 90's as a kid and their reactions are very similar to what I remember everyone else's reaction in the audience. I love it :)
Since Raeen said he want to know how they made this film there is a documentary showing it. I think it was made for tv, about 30 minutes long, would be great to show then. Still as fascinating as the film itself.

Very entertaining and fun to watch! And it really made me realize how much doesn't surprise or wow me in movies anymore
I wish I could have that same feeling the first time I saw this in theaters back in 1993. Probably watched it well over a hundred times since and it's still just as suspenseful.
I felt a little of it watching these two gentlemen react! It's part of why I love reaction videos so much... they bring back memories of how I felt seeing the same things. This really was an incredible theater experience and I'm so glad I got to see it, and I'm so glad that I am also still around to see others experiencing it for the first time 30 years later!
If you don't watch a movie for about five years it almost has the same effect as seeing it for the first time. I did it with Aliens, you forget details and movie is so much fresher and better.
It’s like watching it the first time over again and reliving so many OMG moments with a good friend. These guys speak so freely and with truth and we share a very similar cultural perspective. Love this film and love these dudes.
This reaction reminded me of the skill of the movie making. Steven Spielberg made scenarios and characters so clear that the message of the movie is obvious across all cultures. Movies really are magical that way.
On the helicopter, Alan Grant had two female ends of the seat belt, but still found a way to make it work. The dinosaurs were all female, but life still found a way to make it work
Jurassic Park came out when I was 13, which is about the perfect age for it. I used to sneak out to the theater on my bike during the 3 hours between the end of school and when my mother got home from work so I could watch it over and over. I must have seen the movies a dozen times in the theater. Now I've grown up and become a paleontologist. Just kidding, I'm not a paleontologist, but the story ends better if I am.
I loved the long conversation at the end of the video. They had so many interesting things to say about the movie. I was so happy to watch Babu and Raeen watch this movie together.

I know exactly how these two felt when the dinosaurs made their first appearance: I'm 59 and I still end up with the same bloody stupid grin on my face I had when I saw it when it first came out. Great video. This is definitely one of my favorite movies. I remember seeing it in theaters four times. I was about 7 or 8. My only complaint is more how people react to it. The moral of the story isn't "Dinosaurs bad." It's "Don't exploit something you don't understand." Like Dr. Grant said, they're not monsters, just animals.
29:50 -- I love that they picked up that Alan was going to be able to get it to follow the light, but then Ian, not understanding, ruined it and got Rex to chase him. I won't lie, took me damn near 20 years to notice that detail xD

Even with such a unique culture of their own, it’s a testament how amazing the writing and universally empathetic characters is for Jurassic Park how quickly they attached themselves to their struggles and plight. What wonderful people and such great reactions! ❤
I never cared for the story line really: The dinosaurs got out and ate some people. That's it. But because of the graphics, down to the velociraptor's slight skid when jumping on the table, I LOVED the movie! Heck with a story line! LOOK AT THOSE DINOSAURS!!! ..er.. I mean graphics. 🥴
And everyone, everywhere, all across the world, is happy when the lawyer gets eaten. We were all feeling the same thing, you coward you left the kids. But it's SO important to them, I love it. These folks are so different than I am, and at the same time they are exactly the same
@@johnstortoncan’t believe I found someone even more miserable than I am-if this is what I sound like online I need to get my shit together. 😂
PS - yes back then it absolutely WAS about the special effects. You were clearly not alive, bec most of us had never seen anything like it before. It was ALL about the “blockbuster” back then and the only way to make money was to SPEND money. That was Spielberg’s whole brand. Lighten up. 🙄
@@Kryssi13yep low IQ ignorant people can’t grasp this about older movies…..I’ve always loved older movies and I can put myself back in time to see why such and such a movie might be a super exciting in say the 80s when it’s meh nothing now you know?
@@johnstortono wait? You really they had CGI LIKE THAT BACK THEN? That isn’t graphics! Those are MOVING HUGE DINOSAURS SET PIECES…..CGI was crap back then you ever see toy story? They couldn’t do the detail like they have here 🙄😂🤡 there was SOME graphics but little and from far away otherwise it would’ve looked awful.
They understood this movie really well. They were predicting things accurately, asking the right questions, and picking up on fine details.
These two chaps are very sharp, but it is also a compliment to Spielberg's filmmaking.
Yes storytelling used to be more of an art that transcended race and language.
Sometimes even time itself becoming classic.
I really miss that kind of writing/storytelling...
It's always the smaller nuances that don't translate well across cultures... they were riding home with this. I love it
Just shows that merely being born in a 'first world' country dun make you a smart person, cuz yeah I've seen tons of american reactions to similar movies and fellow danes that just cannot follow along with basic movie plots that these two gentlemen just seem to catch onto very easily.
@@p.bckman2997 Exactly!
"A Man who digs a pit for others falls in first" That is beautiful. I hope I remember that saying.
56:01 "It seemed that when educated people talk, pearls come out of their tongues" -- as an academic, it is nice to hear, but I wish it were true. As a matter of fact, the real beautiful pearls come out of these two gentlemen's reactions who are sharp, wise and very kind.
28:11
The older man’s reaction to the Rex roaring after as it breaks out literally made me tear up.
I remember having that same reaction when I saw this film in theaters back in 1993.
🥲
God bless these 2 !!! 🦖
😂😂😂😂
I love how they were just as mesmerized as I was back when I watched this movie for the first time. Wish I could get to experience that again!
I wish that in so many things I do. When I was a kid I was so easily amazed by everything, something you lose as an adult.
Right?! And I love how well this movie looks to this day, it just shows how doing mostly practical effects ages so much better
So... we've got a bit of a wait ahead of us 😕
🍄's hehe
no i'd say a little more as they seem to have no idea about anything related to dinosaurs in the slightest lol
I love this. Imagine being able to go back and see Jurassic Park for the first time. We take it for granted sometimes
I never take this movie for granted. It's one of the best movies ever made. I've even read both books twice. I should them again. They're so good.
@@RumCaptain I feel like the books are better for sure but the movies are still magic :)
We take everything for granted 😊
I was four years old and obsessed with dinosaurs when this came out. Kids talked about it as the scariest movie in the world. I was simultaneously eager to see it but also terrified. I think I was five when I finally watched it and I only made it up to the T-Rex scene. I was afraid of that T-Rex for years afterwards when I was in my room or in a car at night I'd get this feeling of dread and an unshakable sense that the beast would come for me, and it could tear right through anything in its way.
These two are a great reaction duo, they play off each other so well with their commentary!
Yes, I feel like the others just watch and enjoy the movies, while Babu and Raeen actually analyze the movies and their messages
I have the same feeling. They are the most enjoyable to watch.
I also like them most.
Yeah. I really enjoyed their LOTR FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING reaction.
TWO TOWERS felt very disruptive with the third person. Couldn't watch the reaction to the end.
@@thatweirdnigerianguy Yea, many videos are unwatchable thanks to some of them who constantly talks over the movie.
Those two talks too, but its OK.

This was beautiful to watch, to relive my favourite film absolutely awesome......also tim and lex could both easily fit between the wires
These two have a genuine love for cinema and movies, its so endearing to see. They catch so many small details that most people would miss, as well
"Endearing"
Try to be more patronising.
I see no reason why saying someone has endearing qualities necessitates being patronising. It’s a pretty common thing to say. Most people have at least one endearing thing about them.
@@TheOrlandoTrustfull how is that patronising? do you know what endearing means?
@@TheOrlandoTrustfull Wow, lighten up.

They've already watched Terminator and Terminator 2.
Alien and Predator would be awesome to see them react to.
@@NEILL0608 I hope so. And i somehow hope, they can show them some TV series too. Like Star Trek, Stargate and Babylon 5 (The Star Trek and Stargate movies would be a nice movie reaction too)
@@NEILL0608 Yes I would be psyched for alien and aliens. Also the abyss as well. Have they seen Tiatnic?
I think Interstellar should, though
It is incredible how well these movies have aged! This movie for example is roughly 20 years old and it's still fantastic. The later more modern movies in these series have gotten so cheesy by comparison. Really too bad it seems like we've forgotten how to make a good movie.
This is one of the best things I've seen on youtube ever. They made me feel like a kid again. They were experiencing exactly what I felt when I first saw it in theaters 30 years ago.

I like how Babu instantly understood the whole point of this movie as soon as he saw that first brachiosaur at the beginning. Even while marveling at what he was looking at, he said, "this is dangerous" and yeah, that was a very good call.
Yes, even herbivores are deadly. Even moreso than carnivores since a full carnivore won't care about you-a herbivore will be terrified of you and you'll be trampled or worse. They had no business getting out of the car and wandering so close!

I love how genuine these guys are. It's so interesting to see how other cultures react to things like this, and how awesome was that the older fellow thanked God that the characters were okay? Love it!
31:46 "The man who digs a pit for others falls in first."
That's a great saying.
I adore their enthusiasm and admire their good old fashioned ethics. Look after the children etc. Lovely people.
We really need to get some good science documentaries for Raeen, I loved that he talked about how much he liked listening to the scientists talk.
This!❤
True fact scientists found worms 40,000 years extinct that are viable in permafrost and they gave birth and have 100 generations. What if some bacteria comes from permafrost and it's something like these worms that we haven't encountered and it becomes "the last of us"?
Yes show them where they get those Dinosaur representations from. An virtual tour through a museum for e.g.
I think Ian Malcolm sums it up really well during the dinner scene:
"I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here: it didn't require any discipline to attain it.
Etc.
Too bad he didn't meet the same fate as his book counterpart did. I'm sure no expense was spared for his funeral.
The T-Rex Paddock is arguably the greatest sequence in movie history and seeing people react to it for the first time is magnificent. Thank you.
"They lawyer is wearing shorts under his coat, what kind of lawyer is that?!" LOL
I've long be a fan of the Jurassic Park franchise. This was the most wonderful, wholesome, and beautiful reaction to it that I've yet seen. The older gentleman just warmed my heart. I loved the little bits of philosophy he shared during his watching of the movie and the song he shared at the end. Best review of Jurassic Park ever made! ♥
Their reaction when they saw those dinosaur are IMMACULATE!!! So adorableeee 😆 I'm glad they enjoyed the movie!! Hope to see their reaction to every part of Jurassic Park and Jurassic world too!!! ❤
Some of them are hit and miss imho.
I like The Lost World and Jurassic World was alright, the rest were a bit too campy for my taste.
The first two just had the most compelling story and action. The philosophy and dialogue goes a long way that the rest of the sequels were really lacking tbh.

@@chatteyj I totally agree, I’m a huge fan of the original Jurassic Park movies
"Do not say capable, its dangerous!" Man just foresaw the entire movie franchise xD
Very well said! It really stood put to me hoe they seemed to miss some of the foreshadowing and such, but that is a perfect explanation exactly!
Last year was indeed the 30th anniversary of the ‘Jurassic Park’ motion picture.

Letting them watch and react to some of the great movies is a gold mine. They are so unspoiled, it's makes for a great video. Please do more of these.
"Uncle you turned out to be very capable"
"Do not say capable, it is dangerous"
Babu knows no-kidding danger when he sees it. He could've saved many lives in Jurassic Park.
Also, Babu was right when he said the Gallomimus reminded him of an Ostrich, they are very, very distant relatives!
That scene where they first encounter the dinosaurs after entering the park, gives me chills every single time.
I love the reactions of these two. Exactly what I felt in 1993... Also that Trex Road scene really shows the bravery of Grant and Malcom...
For a movie I've seen a hundred times, watching these 2 makes it fun again.
The moment they first see the dinosaurs was wonderful. Great reaction video.
That look of shock and awe is the same thing we all felt when this movie came out.

Its not really a crime is it, its just one of those things.
I wonder if more people would watch if there were actual translators for the cast... maybe a subbed video released alongside a dubbed video. Let people choose and then maybe more people would watch for their reactions so that they don't have to read.

Babu never ends an episode without a song.
"I have watched your movie. Now listen to my song."
Its all amazing that the dinosaurs where all animatronics or early computerized images 'CG'. (Animatronics = animated + electronics) Think giant sized puppits without strings. This movie is so iconic still, and it came out the year i was born. The effects and cinematography STILL look so good.
“It has made a poop mountain.” 😂😂😂
I was a child when this movie came out, and one night my parents stayed up late to watch it on the TV, so I snuck into the kitchen and crouched below the table to watch it without them knowing, and then the part where the T-Rex eats the lawyer I got so scared that I started crying and my parents found me and I got in tons of trouble. That was the first time I felt traumatized in my life 😂
Their applause to Ian Malcom's critics to the park... 👌
Watching these guys, enjoying the movie so much, makes me want to watch it again.

It doesn't matter how many times I've seen Jurassic Park, that scene in the maintenance bunker when the Raptor shows up behind Ellie will always get me with the jumpscare.

I remember watching this in the theater in the 90's as a kid and their reactions are very similar to what I remember everyone else's reaction in the audience. I love it :)
I saw it at the drive-in when it first came out. You could hear people in the other cars screaming.

I love when they applauded the lawyer dying 😂
This reaction reminded me of the skill of the movie making. Steven Spielberg made scenarios and characters so clear that the message of the movie is obvious across all cultures. Movies really are magical that way.
Love watching these reactions, so pure and wholesome!

Their genuine enthrallment with this spectacle of a film is contagious, I swear.
I was falling into the mystique with them even though I've seen this film so many times. Such charming, fun folks. Loved every minute of it!
I saw Jurassic Park at the cinema when it first came out. I was 14, and it was the scariest film I had ever seen! Especially when the raptor jumped onto the kitchen counter. 😱
I know exactly how these two felt when the dinosaurs made their first appearance: I'm 59 and I still end up with the same bloody stupid grin on my face I had when I saw it when it first came out.
Personally, I blame Steven Spielberg, who at this point had an uncanny knack of connecting everyone with their inner child - AND IT STILL WORKS!
Watching it with the fellas felt like I was watching it for the first time again. Thanks guys.
Love their reaction to the greenery and mountain. I feel the same! Love nature!
29:50 -- I love that they picked up that Alan was going to be able to get it to follow the light, but then Ian, not understanding, ruined it and got Rex to chase him. I won't lie, took me damn near 20 years to notice that detail xD
