I just realized, the guy that Travis is fighting is Bad Girls father.
-Both use a bat
-Both seem to have a similar attack of repeated smashing with the bat
-Hes wearing a sort of dominaxtrix mask similar to the enemies bad girl spawned.
-Hes a drunk, just like her daughter.
-Both say "play ball" implying both seem to have a thing for baseball
- The fact that the guy says "You killed my daughter!" Imply he had kids and everything else above seems to give statement as to why.
-Both seem batshit insane
His name should be "Bad Father". Mwahahah.
He also has a picture of a blonde girl holding a beer in his car.

With this being NMH 10th anniversary and only on the switch Travis coming to the newest smash game is a real possibility plus bayoneta and cloud got in so they really have no excuses.
A lonesome travler To be fair, Cloud is the face of JRPGs and is from an important game for the industry. It made JRPGs popular and showed the amount of story that a game could tell. Final Fantasy 7 was a revolutionary game for its time.
No More Heroes is a BIG cult classic though. It's right up there with God Hand as one of the most unappreciated series out there. Gene almost got into.MvC3 because of a loud minority, time to get our guy into smash!
Kekarot I know it's beloved, but it isn't as recognized as Snake/Megaman/Pac-Man/Sonic/Cloud/Ryu who are all important game icons with important gaming history. I don't want people getting their hopes up and comparing Travis to any of those characters/series because they'll most likely end up dissapointed. Just don't hold your breath is all.

coolbrick It actually isn't. It's been long enough since the initial release that they probably won't be adding anymore new characters, and if they do, the odds of one of them being Travis are slim. On top of that, they don't port Smash games, they just make a new one for whatever the newest console is because they don't really change all that much from one game to the next, meaning there would be less reason to buy the next one if we already had a Smash game for the Switch. For that reason, a "deluxe edition" port with new characters would be unexpected.
Just saying, it's not a guess, it's more of a hypothesis.

@@Jazgdude Yeah. First, I thought Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes was 3rd main installment until No More Heroes III is here. So Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is a side installment. After No More Heroes III was released by Grasshopper Manufacture, Platinum Games took 4 years after the announcement when the new trailer appears in this year just 1 year before 2022 as official release date for Bayonetta 3.
