I think it's a bit reductive to describe fine gael and fianna fail as two parties that existed at the foundation of the state, and were similar to each other. FF and SF maybe, but FG started out as Eoin O'Duffy's fascist blueshirts that went to fight for franco, they only aligned on neoliberal policies in the last 20 years or so but were fierce rivals for a long time.

Well FF & FG are at 20% each approx, down from decades at 40% so there's huge decline in FG FF support, the big issue is SF blew their chance to be the new big party by going into the centre and going all woke.
We need a new party to rise from the ashes. FF FG have lost huge support but there is no big alternative so the votes are split all over the place between SOC DEMS, Labour, Greens (puke), SF, Independent and now the Nationalists. 60% of the vote going all over the place.

His family spent TENS OF THOUSANDS OF EURO, not to FREE him, but solely on advertising to push a propaganda campaign on his behalf for culture war nonsense that gave the government multiple free passes for their mistakes.
If you think an adult with a restraining order should be allowed to hang outside of a school with a media circus, or taking a space up in an already overcrowded prison system, while still drawing down a teachers salary, I have to ask if you've got the interests in kids or the interest of a culture war in mind.
