SUP Tour | The Disused Canal

The Wiener Neustadt Canal was Austria's only shipping canal, originally meant to reach to Trieste. It became operational in 1803 and ceased to be used for transportation before World War I.
I explore this historical canal route north from the canal's namesake town Wiener Neustadt by stand up paddle board to see how navigable the remaining route is and what still remains today.

Just a short announcement to remind those who share my passion for waterways and industrial heritage to sign the petition to save the Rochdale Branch Canal.
At the time of writing this message the petition has gained 13 extra signatures since my video went out, a big thanks to those who have already contributed.
The Rochdale town centre conservation area has been praised by Historic England for making “significant progress” with its historic buildings and sites.
Unfortunately however the historic branch canal continues to be ignored and excluded from regeneration planning.
Let's make our voices heard, the more signatures this petition obtains the harder it is for the council to ignore.
Link to the petition is in the description and together we can bring this buried historic gem back to use.

Get a double child trailer for your dog you can also pack tent onto it and it has a cover much safer
