just a tip. you can make a sprite rotate left and right when the keys are pressed instead of making whole other sprites for each side. just enable left-right rotation!
Yeah that’s what I used to think, but if you want your character to walk left and right as well, it’s easier to have separate costumes, so you can reuse your up and down animating code! 😊

@@kemoscyanahmed3449 okay, I’ll try and explain. I’m not a teacher, so sorry about that.
But basically, if you have a function that moves the character, and animates it, it’s easier to have one function that animates it based on the direction it’s moving. Otherwise, you would need to make an exception with an if statement.
For example: you divide the direction by 90, so that if the player is moving up, it’d be 1, right, 2, down 3, and left 4. It’s easier to link those numbers to an animation than it is to create an exception.
That explanation is a little convoluted, so if you’re still confused, I can try and explain better :)

Zonx, here's a tip. Instead of changing the costume of the bullet, just change the y of the bullet by 0.1 (might need a different value but 0.1 is a good starting point)

Edit 1: I already made the game playable, i made the wave dystem, added a start screen, added more wnemies, also the game is gonna be named Untitled shooter game

i like how in the one minute version, all he made was a purple circle with a gun thats made of sticks (dont take that out of context) and in the one day version he made a full 8-bit game with functioning enemies

honestly whenever i play a game i like to think about the people or person who make the game. i like seeing what he did to make the game then the game.
If you go into the costume section, convert it into bitmap, zoom in, and set the paint tool to 1, you can make a pixel effect in scratch without using the effects.

I recommend putting a point in direction block left and right makes it easier to move left and right instead of making a simple sprite
My son studies at Geeklama and also makes his own games, btw he is only 7. I think Scratch is just great and it's totally amazing that children can not just play games, but make it useful
Just set the rotation style to left-right then forever point towards the pointer

as a Beginner Scratcher who actually made a clicker game that's pretty decent by just figuring it out I can say the 1 minute game was impressive. I can't code that fast but I can code.

I have found you such an inspiration, which is wierd since we're the same age! Me and my friend just recently started coding a game on scratch with a lil' protagonist that looks a LOT like yours(although the game deviates wildly lol) the games called Diachrome: A Novice's Journey and its a dungeon crawler inspired by the original legend of zelda!
