Pretty much over my head.... I'll just pay you to fix my vehicle problems and know it got fixed properly and honestly! Great video, as usual !!!
Maybe Matt should have sent the ElCamino to him. Yes it was fun to watch him get it running, but the new carb and sending unit were a “don’t tell Mere” moment.
Not sure how u can watch this guy Dr Lee he stole money in you sons name, he raised money in Marks name then hasn't even got the decency to to update on the tractor or what he has done with the money that was given for Marks tractor.. makes me so mad every time I see a new video from this thief
Me too, but before you even do that, take out and put back your gas cap back in first...see if the dummy lights on the car itself (or dummy diagnostic scanner) changes it's diagnostic reading all of a sudden like magic and you're good to go.
Might wanna remind folks that if you can't connect to the vehicle through the port ya might wanna check the cigarette lighter fuse. Tiss of what powers the port. Usually a crappy phone charger blew the fuse
Trivial correction: I think MAP stands for manifold absolute pressure and not manifold air pressure. Thanks for the video!
As a shop owner I say thank you for this video.
How about a video about how the diagnostics fee is seperate from the repair? Sometimes you can waive the diag fee but not always.
Thank you for posting !
When I worked at Autozone, I was told we were sued for erasing codes.... They still tried to get us to push sensors.
AZ got butthurt when i was showing customers how to flip the gasket on a gas cap instead of replacing the cap.
Great video
Better example: ABS light is on and people replace the sensor on that wheel. We all know how fun pulling those are, which usually requires a drill bit. 90% of the time it is a wheel bearing and there isn’t a damn thing wrong with the sensor.
I definitely need to get a better scan tool. A code reader is nice to have. But I need to be able to check live data and actually communicate with the PCM.
Check out the Diagun v on amazon pro Level for $600
Absolutely spectacular video. Informative, competent, easy to watch.
I just played this game myself... Older truck with OBD1 and it was reading rich. All signs posting towards the 30 year old O2 sensor. After chasing lots of things and swapping out WAY more than just the O2 sensor I finally saw that the TBI injectors were leaking. D'oh!
Hope you and the family are well, sir. - TZ
I have a 2007 jeep commander that has a p0300 code and it didn't have any other codes with it I spent around $3000.00 on parts and it still not fixed even sent the pcm off to be reprogrammed they said it was corrupt it still doing the same thing but now I'm getting codes for all four oxygen sensors I haven't done anything else to
Yeah same experience for me Stephen no matter were I go as soon as somebody finds out I'm I'm mechanic they have 6 million and 1 questions especially when I'm grabbing parts at the part store for vehicles I'm working on for clients lol @Stephen Cox
Comments! When did you get out of YT jail??!?
January of this year. They magically came back without warning.
Might wanna remind folks that if you can't connect to the vehicle through the port ya might wanna check the cigarette lighter fuse. Tiss of what powers the port. Usually a crappy phone charger blew the fuse
That’s mostly only GM Chevy
@@weldingjunkie but tis the truth
Chris Fails yes for GM it is true
I had a dream last night that I was at a landscape job and I had my 95 F250 out front. You and a couple guys were parked out front too working on a truck and I said what’s up Stephen?! I watch your channel daily and you acted like a douche and gave me the cold shoulder hahaha I watch your videos a lot because my truck is broke down with something odd.
my wife, 'whats that sound'
me, ' sounds like maybe a wheel bearing babe'
wife, 'well the computer doesn't say anythings wrong'...
I worked for a guy one time that just thought exactly what you were describing.
Needless to say, I don't work for that prick anymore.
He can take his garbage to peterbilt for all I care.
It wasn't worth the peanut shells he was handing out.
Preach brother. I say this all the time. Find out WHY and HOW first before pulling the parts canon.
Thank you sir. That is great information.
I had a young kids tell me to hook up my 66 mustang to the scanner it will tell you what's wrong with it. I just rolled away.
They clearly have had no exposure to actual repairs. You were nicer than I would have been. I probably would have asked them to show me how to plug it in lol.
@@coltbitter9495 I figured he would be too busy because he was going to go work on a powerstroke. Maybe change the spark plugs and Muffler bearings
Lol. Time for ye olde snap on analoscope..... Wait a minute that sounds kinda oh yeah, anal didn't exactly mean the same thing back then as it does today. Lol.
The link didn't work for me, just took me to amazon?
How do you clear the car computer before checking scan code
I keep my cheap scan tool in my console cause I'm constantly getting asked questions about check engine lights.
Is it graphing so you can see the waveforms instead of just scrolling numbers
FLI: fuel level indicator
Lmfao the intro was hilarious 🤣
Yea, ok, thats a good secret, but really what I want to know, is any tips or secrets that the cops dont want me to know????? lol. good to see you sir
Good video @Stephen Cox
I did purchase a new Topdon AL300 on eBay for $18. I did go to Amazon but they wanted about $34+ shipping. Thanks for your info. Jim
Good video, THANK YOU!!! Pretty powerful little tool for the price. The link to Amazon indicated about $33. Thanks again!!!
Really good video Brother! So many scan tools are advertising...plug me in and I will tell you what's wrong with your car! (Not Top Don)One even said buy our tool ,so your mechanic can't rip you off! What is really sad is the fact that the scan tool company is in fact ripping you off by telling you that a scan tool can and will tell you what's wrong with your car and of course the consumer doesn't know any better so they believe it. I am a technician. I always tell people hey if it was that easy I wouldn't have to go to school lol
P0 codes are all generic... There is no such thing as a manufacturer definition being "different" its defined by the SAE. P1 codes are the only manufacture defined ones... and you don't need a special high end tool for those... those will differ.
Even a snap on Solus scan tool is limited...my dealer says it will do everything but cook your dinner!.... lol 😆
Love it when people get P0300 + P0301-308 = automatic plugs and coils
C code is Chassis
Do you have an Amazon link for the scan gauge 2? I'd like to help support the channel since I need one anyway
Good info
This guy is still in the sandbox baby mechanic at best.
Make sure your Aux fuse is not blown out, or the scanner won't work
Your registration or inspection/emissions sticker is expired :)
What are reasons for check engine to come on and off
When the ECU algorithm is it out of what it’s set for. Once the control unit sees it cross the line it’ll trigger the light. Sometimes it has a set numberOf times like a misfire may need 47 times before triggers
Bought it with your link.
