Thank you for adding the spots showing exactly how you tied each of the knots. It really helped me understand better. Thanks Dave!!!

Very interesting. Cool trick. What's the quality of the material on the tent? Any possibility of the poles wearing out the material and poking through?

These poles look awesome but gutted it’s tricky to get them in the UK without getting stung by import taxes 😩

I have that Backwoods Bungalow. It's a modern iteration of the Whelen almost.
I have the poncho poles in my cart at SRO. Nice to know how versatile it is.

Son of a ....... it never dawned on me to use hammock straps. Whoopie slings or cinch straps would be the trick for tension here for those that are challenged with tying knots.
Poncho poles are a great hack as well.
I'm definitely going to try it this weekend.
    Thanks Dave!

I hear One Tigris can be hit or miss, some quality, some crap so when I see Dave C. promoting one I get all confused. But DAMN using those poles with it is incredible considering it certainly wasn't designed with them in mind! Been eyeballing those poles...might have to cough up $45...thanks, love your work!

  • @OutdoorsWithShawn

I have the original and love it. There are a few better upgrades the 2.0 has over the 1.0. But I still like the side vents of the 1.0 over the rear vent in the 2.0
I've never thought of using tree straps, I'll have to try it. I use a bowline & taunting hitch setup usually or trekking poles.
Great idea with bell shaped patio
