I've always bought Eversim games for years because I wanted to support but tbh I'm kinda giving up on them. And it's not even the bugs. - The political part of the game has no significan change except the new UI which is not even better than it P&R 2023. - The CEO part was unecessary to me : it could have been a new game on its own, but just adding it in a geopolitical game doesn't really make sense. Instead of being lazy and making a new game for 30€ every years where they just update data to current years and add a couple of laws depending on their mood of the day, they should do what much more successful games like HOI4 are doing. That game is 10 years old and still wildely popular : - One base game. - Open-modding on Steam : imagine how great it could be if modders could improve the base game, UI, add laws and make changes to the AI. - Release a DLC every couple years with significant changes that really mean something. They had the potential to be the modern geopolitical game of EU4 or HOI4
I half expect Eversim to release all the bugfixes in 2025 with "GPS 5 - 2025" edition for another 30-50 USD. Game series was mile wide and shallow as a puddle, now this one is riddled with bugs after a copy-paste failure of P&R 2023's code. I am too jaded with this company.
@@PoliticsGaming but still not playable if you start from zero its not that hard too have big progress we will see next year if the game will be playable.
this is such a great concept RUINED by bugs and UI it is SO hard to find stuff in this game. things that should be organized in alphabetical, scrollable format... are not. it's a pain to see your country's imports, exports, contracts, production... things which are KEY to the game (and real life governance).
I just keep repeating myself, I bought this version (it really should just be a DLC, but eversim being eversim, they will change one word in a text and claim original content), instantly checked on my go-to bugs that have irked me even as far, as 2020 edition, lo and behold, still there. Instantly requested refund and gave up on the series completely. You can only be invested and constantly disappointed only for that long, past this point I'd consider it as having masochistic tendencies, which in all honestly I might've developed slightly due to Eversim shenanigans. The fact they just keep cramming extra content, without fixing the old content, while often breaking old content even more, while newly implemented content is also broken and having joke of an optimization for the game is just infuriating, playing any Eversim game for longer than a few years makes my gaming laptop as if I was running the game on a calculator. Which I guess would make sense, because judging by the optimization they are programming it on one.
We need to change the currency 100Ms to 100M 100Bs to 100B 1000Bs to 1Tr because this is the right calculation Million, Billion Trillion and also they have to add options that can set up government budget every year and weapons design
What about the Power aspect of the game? Its in the name power and revolution and nothing has changed. For example, opponent opposition parties taking power through armed rebellion for example, in GPS5 its impossible to do that now because you cant mod,you cant customise like GPS4 and you cant even play as rebels. Which is what makes this game unique, even if the UI looks nice and theres new regions it totally ruins it in my opinion. More updates must be done on the infrastructural and power aspect of the game. For example, rebels can target pipelines and dismantle it. Rebels should have more features in the game, or at least on the counter insurgency part, more political acknowledgment to insurgency. For example, if i play as a rebel group and i have almost taken power in the country, the news only makes note of the cities captured. The rest is ignored. as if nothing is happening, no 'martial law' or special emergency or features to make it even harder for the player to take power as rebel mode. TLDR: more features for illegal opponents in-game.
In terms of the idea, the game is considered one of the good games for simulating political geostrategy. But the development team is somewhat stingy.. They do not want to work well and do not listen to the opinions of the gaming community. Look, for example, at the simulation of war battles and the shape of the military units in this game, it seems somewhat stupid. This is in addition to the AI that has not been developed (it is supposed to give the player a high degree of freedom regarding the economic direction, whether it is a centralized or mixed economy or socialist or communist or capitalist, etc.) The basic game engine has problems that have not been solved, unfortunately
It’s getting worst each time They need to stop with the economy , it’s detailed enough They need to focus more on diplomacy and war mechanics and systems
Answer: No, don't buy it. Takes forever to learn how to play, the game doesn't always function based of how it should, it crashes a lot, and overall it could be a great game but it's not. I've hidden it on my steam account so that I don't ever pick up the game again. It has been a total waste of my time.
Problem is not bugs, problem is that Eversim proved years in the past that things will not be fixed/improved, people don't believe devs will improve bugs and improve the game.. that's whole thing.... bugs as bugs and problems are not a problem for community.. is just there is no guarantee that bugs will ever be fixed, game will ever improve.. I owning all of their games, always hoping things will change.. and i buy them because i love the idea of this franchise.. but unfortunately things never get fixed.. I will not buy their games ever more. All this games are the same, i understand they improving and they have a base.. ok i get it.. game is complex.. but every release is buggy.. how the hell... and none of previous releases is not fixed.. why you even move to new project if you don' fix previous one?! There is still countries in GPS4 which regions are not fixed.. cities all over the place etc.... that's basics.. i don't talk here about some deep simulation bugs.. Srsly big no~no... this company is like a dude who mug you on the street, take your money and runs away.. that's it.. lol. They are not ready to implement new things and more things because they couldn't even manage basics.. and if previous releases was a testing projects, team to get more experienced etc.. ok i get it.. and community funded it.. and finaly to have a proper one... nah new version is 90% the same just tweaked little bit... it's like there is one dude over there who working on this and that's about it.. this is his hobby and not having full time job to deal with everything.. Whatever.. If they want this game to be released so community to fix it.. yes.. $15-20 max and tehre you go, you will have an army of members who can do it.. Oh nah.. they don't even listen community so.. it is how it is.. It's crazy to me.. Sorry for a rant but srsly i don't get it.. Everyone who playing their games.. knows what i mean.. like dude 10 years you have same game.. re-releasing it.. and tweaking it ok.. and you move to new one.. never fix it .. 100% .. so why the hell we buying it then? If Dev need sugar daddy, create onlyfans page and there you go...

Compared to the game at first, it's night and day. Lots of effort from Eversim from my standpoint.

concept was great! in 2014..... this is the same game.

This version feels like a step backwards, i was hoping new stuff were put more but i guess that's going to be a another version in forseeable fiuture

I payed for the game but I can't load without entering a blank screen. I can't even re-download. It was before the steam launch.
Too shady
It’s getting worst each time
They need to stop with the economy , it’s detailed enough
They need to focus more on diplomacy and war mechanics and systems
It keeps crashing
They need to remove the military aspect since it's never worked and put more effort into the rest of the game.
It is buggy but way better than the older games if they fix the economy bugs & also update the old faces + old text this game would be amazing
the taxation system is also broken. I just raise the property tax all the way and i have a 20 percent surplus.

So what political game is better power and revolution 2023 or supreme ruler 2030 or economy and warfare
I follow both you & Francie you both produce good content
What is the Nan bug?
I refunded after 30 minutes of playing a broken game i paid 50 quid for 😂
Where can i get god n spy mode cracked ver outside steam?
And what do you think of the saga I can find a light at the end of the túnnel.
