- The iPhone 15 Pro Max is finally here and after some time with the phone, this is my unboxing and initial review of this years new iPhone. #iphone15promax #iphone15 #iphone15review
I primarily wanted to test it directly against last year's iPhone 14 Pro max in a few key areas and so far, I have some mixed feelings.
I think for the MAJORITY of people, the upgrades to the 15/15 plus this year will be substantial enough to make it the best option - if you can get over the 60HZ screen (most people probably dont care)

Hi Will, thank you for your video. I have a Sony A6400 (24Mpx) but I wonder if an iPhone 15 pro max is not a better compromise (if the iPhone is not almost equivalent to an APS-C 24Mpx) plus with smart HDR the iPhone has a better dynamic range, what would you choose in my place?

I’m probably staying with my 256GB i14pm as I don’t mind the slower transfer speed and also just bought a few new lightning cables
i get the 120 hz point, but being a customer myself I went for the 13 Pro instead of the regular model, even though I'm no where near being a pro user, because 120 hz is a dealbreaker for me. I used Pixel 5 before and at least 90 Hz should be standard. When Apple showed iPhone 15 that was almost the best phone on the planet, but 60 hz ruined it. You can say all you want about most people not noticing, but that's bs since smoother animations are hard to miss. Charging 1000 euros for a 60 Hz phone is robbery. The Pro models this year are something, the most infuriating problem, the phone dimming itself when getting warm or for no reason, has not been fixed. Apple is too much invested in Apple Vision Pro, so much that they are willing to ruin the experience for their current customers, and that's something i definitely noticed, at least in the software department, each update for iOS or macOS brings stutters to the ui, even the bugs that whole youtube talks about Apple ignores.
Got the 15 PM. It’s the perfect one. Best iPhone in ages with 24MP images. USB C Charging. And all round good iOS
120Hz is an absolute must………just upgraded and it’s like night and day. 60Hz screen in 2023 is absolutely a disgrace. Especially for the riches company in the world. iPhone 15 Pro is a brilliant phone 👍
Honestly strongly agree with all this, one other thing I have found is battery life and performance seems fine, definitely nothing to rave on about tbh
It’s been better compared to my 14 pro max so far but seems hard to hit the 13 pro max numbers these days

debating wether I finally upgrade from 11. Worried about how easily the pro breaks and heats up. Might stick with a non-pro version.

Best phone and the blue titanium ,best colour ever
I bought the 15 Pro Max in natural titanium, but it‘s getting ridiculous that the lower end models still have 60hz. They should’ve at LEAST introduced it with the 14 series, but here we are. And it looks like 16 isn’t getting it either. Apple should also REALLY focus on adding those small missing settings or choices and not making e.g. changing an app icon so unnecessarily complicated.
Going from a 12 pro max to 15 pro max I not impressed. Only big change I see is the always on screen and the dynamic Island. The nightstand mode is 100 better with the always on screen and the island is very distracting coming from a 12 phone. If you have a 12 don’t waste your money if it’s still working. It’s not really worth the upgrade cost.
I think people can still be quite happy with a 12 currently
The higher refresh rate is NICE but not everyone needs it. I think next year will be a bigger upgrade, although I will say I do like my 15 pro max a lot more than the 15 pro max simply for the battery drain alone

Yes, it’s a great phone
With how weak the back glass iz now and poor camera quality between 1.1 and 4.9x I wouldn't say its perfect. Plenty of work left for apple. They need do continous optical zoom like Sony have between 3.5-5.2x and that weak back glass definitely needs sorting too

@@WillBowers I still wouldn't say it's almost perfect. Almost perfect would mean that you'll change a thing or two about this phone but the fact that it's one step forward two steps back from previous two iPhones, is disappointing.
Have you ever wondered how apple have gotten away with using a similar screen resolution for the iPhone since the iPhone X? It basically has been half way to 1440p from 1080p. There is yet to be an iphone with full quad HD display, like the ones you see in Samsung for example and they've had quad HD resolution screens since the s6 edge from almost 8 and a half years ago. But has been in other phones for over ten years now. Apple usually wait a while before adding it into their phones, but this isn't something that needs waiting and testing, especially if it's been around for ten years.
Same charging speed for the last 4 iPhones, including this one. They should by now have had at least a 30W, even though the fake rumours suggested 35W. So the phone is lacking there too.
No mention on battery life made everyone believe that this would be a bad battery phone. I'd still take the 13 Pro max battery over this. So that also needs working on. Had apple improved on everything I said, only then would it have been an almost perfect phone. But this is far from almost perfect
Most people around the World who have an iPhone have photos dating back as far as the YEAR 2023 ONLY.

Iphone 14 pro camera its really suck. Lets try record objects from far away and approaching. Autofocus so bad. and when the camera gets closer, you just click autofokus your object. AND BOOM, Your camera moves and becomes blurry .. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
