Yeah my friend wanted me to play it and I was really worried about people getting mad about me being a noob but these vids made me feel better. It's okay to fuck up occasionally if you are playing with nice peeps!
I recently picked my first healer class and was enjoying myself greatly until I landed an elitist tank (who was new at tanking) who treated me and the other (1st timer) dps like dirt in Haukke Manor. I had to spam Benediction II on him constantly, I didn't have time to heal the others and he wouldn't pull the adds off me even though I brought them to him, claiming he couldn't because he "had been stunned"....for 20 seconds. He ordered the dps to watch every single guide and do 'their homework' and called me a shit healer after he 'Leeroy Jenkinsed' everything, leaving the party behind and ignoring my demands to wait for SMN's and my MP to come back. Thinking about it, we should have kicked him out. I never get salty, but someone treating new players like shit is beyond my patience.
Yeah a lot of people don't realize that the older content from ARR doesn't put walls to stop you every couple of groups of mobs, so when they try that pull from wall to wall shit they just end up running so far ahead noone can keep up, then they act like you're the problem. Like bro I gotta stand still for a second to cast spells while you're sprinting to the God damn horizon
You guys have me in stitches I'm laughing so hard and make me wish Dark Knight unlocked sooner than Heavensward T.T it Dragoon Black Mage and either scholar or summoner haven't decided are the only classes that have my interest
Nice TP regen at the end there. :P I miss using my bishop for refresh. The recast timer now is terrible. Especially higher level dungeons. "Nope, you still have half your MP, you don't need it yet!!" Otherwise it's the longest 3 minutes of your life.
This makes me wanna transfer to your server and apply to your FC, my current FC doesn't do much together other than the few close friends who only group together... and dps queues make me cry :(
From DRG to PLD is a pain in the ass....so many USELESS buttons that are NOT in the rotation! DRG is so easy, press like 12 buttons in a row and if you feel cocky push an extra one after each skill of your rotation... But PLD? 2 combos and like 20+ buttons you can press when you panic....WHAT IS THIS?!
o-o Am I playing DRK wrong? I always make sure I have full MP before the pull is done. Meanwhile Larry here is running away from a pack with like 740 MP and I'm like "But how do you do that many abyssal drains?"
Idk, but it sounds like you don't use Blood Price ;P Plus, in the time the video was made, Blood Price wasn't THAT nerfed like now. Now, it's like.... "Why do I even need to use Blood Price? I don't get any noticeable MP back." ... well, that's what I think. But yeah... he got enough MP back to spam it to death :D
I used Blood price towards the beginning of the pull when my MP is down by 1/3rd and then pepper in syphon strike combos to keep myself topped off and the occasional Sole Survivor.
He's probably hitting blood weapon and blood price at the same time to maximise MP regen. Blood weapon + blood price + syphon strike = what is mp, even
in big aoe pulls, you can use dark arts > abyssal drain and it heals you. i didn't see you use that combo once in both of these videos. No wonder mel doesn't want to heal.
coolcat33333 I started playing it recently and there's a lot of info out there. I did research first since I haven't played a mmo since high school and that was wow on a pc. I'm playing it on ps4 now because I'm more of a console gamer and I'm finding it fairly noob friendly. Helps if you have an experienced friend you can bounce questions off of but I'm having fun so far. If you decide to try it, good luck to you!

Actually, Tioman was boning Nidhogg. His original partner was dead though, but he still needed to get laid after a few centuries.
