  • Come walk with me as we take in the incredible sights along the northern shores of Lake Superior in Minnesota. We we find our way down the path to the Baptism River where it meets up with Lake Superior. The beautiful, amber colored water reminds me of Root Beer.
After winding our way back we head out on the long trek up MANY stairs. You need to have good knees and ankles to do this trail as you will see in the video - the stairs seem to never end! I had to rest many, many times!
But then a sense of relief comes over you as you see the top in sight. VICTORY! To look over at Lake Superior from up high is quite a feeling. The sun sparkles on the water like diamonds floating below.
Oh how I WISH I could have bottled up the smells of the pine trees and the freshness of the woods for you and attached it to this video.
This is a great place to get a handful of blueberries during their season. At the very end of the trail is the turquoise waters in a little bay type area.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate you!!!

Such a great and beautiful hike, but too many stairs for me. I was able to thoroughly enjoy it and take in all of the awesome scenery from the comfort of my chair well, sipping on coffee. Thanks, Neely.

It's part of the purpose for my videos. For people to be able to experience something they won't be able to do. ❤️👍 Thanks for watching!

Thank you Corey. I am glad you like my videos. I work FT so it is hard to find time to make my videos, SOOOO much footage of up north and rivers to make yet. I go all the way up to Grand Marais too. The whole north shore up there holds a special place in my heart. Glad you enjoy it too! Blessings back atcha!

@@adventureswithneels5014 thank you kindly! I always wanted to retire in the Grand Marais area cause of the beauty of the north shore- only thing is that area gets alot of lake affect snow so their winters are harsh. Summers and Fall are the best times up there!

Loved the hike. It was a "pick me up" while working on taxes.

Great video Neely! You have really inspired me to pay this place a visit this summer! Was it really as desolate as it seemed? I only remember seeing you come across one other group of hikers?

I was there on a weekday. I'm sure the park is busy on the weekend! I really didn't see much of anyone on the trails. However, down by the baptism River there was a bunch of people there spending the day. I'm sure they were camping there. If you go during a weekday you'll really enjoy the peace and quiet! There was a couple of guys out on the far point when I got to the end of the trail as well. But they disappeared quickly into the woods.
