Kayaking Colorado River - Hoover Dam to Willow Beach 7-28-23

Join me on the emerald waters of the Colorado river! It was a HOT, HOT, HOT trip down the river in the summer! I went with Adventure Child outfitter, which is the only way you can get a permit to enter the water at the base of Hoover dam. You get a WOW feeling as you drive into the Black Canyon. I dipped in hot springs, we dodged falling rocks from mountain goats, smiled at lizards, dunked in the exhilarating, crystal clear, 50 degree Colorado river! ((A necessity to keep cool.) I will take you in a hot spring cave with me. You will see ducks, mergansers, two different kinds of lizards, waterfalls, a beautiful hawk, bats, waterfalls, volcanic rock, the original equipment used to test where to put the Hoover Dam, cactus and much more!

Wow what a great capture of one of the best Day trips in the world. Love all the wildlife. Only about one week a year the flies are everywhere on that portion of the river so weather it’s caterpillars or spiders we love the webs. Wow cool fun fact about your grandfather.
