My wife is Peruvian. At 14:55 when your hat swapped from the baseball cap to the Peru hat, she burst out in joyous laughter. She was very pleased hearing, and seeing, your passion for Peru and the cultural history of the land.
Loved your style and the deatiles that you share. How were you getting to places there? did you take private driver/taxi or group tours? We are planning to go to Peru next August.
Excellent video; Cuzco never fails to charm though i would rather go there in the dry season! I came here way back in 1977 when there were far fewer tourists. I arrived here by bus from Huancayo - a 2 night 1 day trip of some 36 hours. And buses then were very different from now - old beat up buses with bare seats with almost no legroom - they were built for the local Indians who are shorter than we are or for kids. And the windows would consistently rattle with all the dust coming from outside - no roads were tarred then so the trip was bouncy and like a roller coaster as the bus moved up and down valleys. And forget footrests, leather seats, lighting, reading lights, tray tables, and the like. Comfort then was unheard of!
thanks for a glimpse at what Carnival looked like! We left Cusco the day they started to set up that large stage in the plaza in front of the bigger church. Mid Feb
thank you for sharing the info, very helpful! I am planning a trip to Peru for a couple of weeks and I was thinking about renting a car and driving to different places in Peru including the Cusco, but it is difficult to get a clear idea if it is worth doing it. Have you done a roadtrip in Peru yourself? or would you do it? Thank you once again!
En Cusco, Me parte el alma ver tantos ansianos mendigando y perritos en la calle buscando comida en la basura. “La grandeza y el progreso moral de una nación puede medirse por la forma en que trata a sus animales”.
Hi Island Hopper, what time of the year was this video taken? I'm thinking of going during Xmas time. I'm just a little worried about the rainy season. what can you say about the weather at that time?
I recently visited Peru. Loved the culture and the wonderful places I went like Lima, Cusco, Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu. No one seems to mention the risk of travelers gastro from the water. You can’t eat anything that has been washed in fresh water eg salad and peeled fruit, uncooked food. I got two bouts of gastro which was so awful. Just think it should be reported and flagged for future tourists.

Did you experience any altitude sickness while in any part of Peru?
You will feel some shortness of breathe at times especially when doing hikes but honestly nothing too overwhelming.
Argentina or Perú, which do you prefer and why?
Peru. Because a lot of impressive sights here
🎉 ❤ New Hoodie
@@IslandHopperTV Thanks for the feedback my friend.
Would be curious to know the actual temperatures in Cusco during the day and night. Excellent video! 🎉
@@KennedyS123 You can just Google search weather anywhere in the world.
Thank you for the information and how can we perhaps contact you further without giving youtube my first-born child?
In what month did you visit Cusco?
February.

I did not know Peru was woke to the point of having the rainbow flag at the plaza de armas.
That's not an LGBTQ flag. It's the flag of the City of Cusco.
Bless your ignorant heart. Google the Inca flag and Cusco flag. Keep in mind flag is spelt with an “L”.
Tourist trap ugh
The coolest places attract crowds
