    just mesmerising to watch - is the paper hot pressed and why 2 tubs of water does one have something extra in it ????

    • @lenagemze662
      @lenagemze662  5 років тому

      The paper is cardboard and not made for watercolouring. It does not suck very much paint - it runs on the surface during the process. The water in one tub is usually a little dirty (Then I can see, where I put the water on the paper. The other is clean if i.e. I want to add yellow colour, otherwise it will not turn out yellow.

      Yes, as other poster stated, it's the weight and type of paper. Some professional artist will even order special types of paper by the sheet, and they're pricey. I noticed how the water and paint flowed, as if it was on glass, and not one buckle! I have some mixed media paper, that seems to work a bit like this.

    Fantastic! I have to try this. Do you think I could do this with Golden High Flow acrylics? Thanks for sharing your talent and technique.

    Wow, I´m amazed!!!!! So beautiful and smooth! Don´t know if I can write in swedish? In another video I saw you using tiny bottles with a small opening with already mixed colour in, where do you buy those?

      Hej Linda. Jeg kan nemt forstå svensk. Jeg har købt flaskerne hos Søstrene Grene, men sidst havde de dem ikke, så købte jeg tilsvarende flasker hos Panduro Hobby. De var meget dyrere men også meget bedre kvalitet. Finder du dem ikke, så skriv igen!

    Lena Gemzøe what paper do you use?

    • @lenagemze662
      @lenagemze662  5 років тому +2

      It is acidfree cardboard between 400-700 g. It is not made for watercolour painting, but it makes the water run faster, and does not stick very deep in the paper.

    This is beautiful! Could a similar effect be achieved on canvas? Or would this be mounted on wood or framed?

    • @lenagemze662
      @lenagemze662  3 роки тому

      Thank you Jes! I don't think you can do it on canvas. In this video I use cardboard which is coated with chalk and this makes it very smooth. I frame my watercolours with passepartouts and frame and glass.

    Intrigued to know what you applied to the new paper after wetting it ? Was it something to help the colours run or to keep it damp for longer ? Please tell us ! Thank you for the vid.

    • @lenagemze662
      @lenagemze662  4 роки тому +1

      I only apply water, but because of the cardboard, which is blank, the water runs faster and will not so fast be absorbed by the paper. Just ask again if it doesn't reply your question!

      @@lenagemze662 I am very sorry to bother you again...but I don't really know what the "Cardboard " is that you use. Wondering what product I would ask for at the art shop ? I have never heard of it before . I hope I don't have to travel from UK to Denmark to buy it 😬😯😏

      @@JVSwailesBoudicca Ask as much as you please! Here is a link to my supplier. Maybe if you take the description to a paper store they can help you. They write that the paper is matt because it is coated with a thin layer of chalk. www.easytech.dk/shop/syrefri-karton-0-7586p.html
