Ending A is still the better than the other endings. I mean, yeah sure it's depressing because Caim still lost Furiae, later Angelus. But the humanity on both universes, Drakengard and NieR, are at least... safe.
At least the devs make it way more family friendly. Not a fetus popped out straight from womb hole then splatter freshly into grounds like a turd with cord still intact I have a similar nightmare like that on my old days after watching ending D and it's still scares me until today.
If I was the one to make the anime movie/series based on this game, I think in terms of timeline, I would make it similar to "Evangelion", meaning there would be two versions of it. First, we would see route C, but with the final monologue following Caim's race towards battle being similar to "1.3", so we would get the revelation dragons are the Watchers and the Seeds/Eggs, objects that exist through out time all at once, and this route is an entire time loop of sorts. But then, after the credits, Accord's voice would be heard explaining the concept of timelines and Singularities, taking us to a route that is a mix of routes B, D and E, in order to make this "true" ending as Lovecraftian as possible.
Guys, guys... Nier was the only one capable of having a full Pact with the Grimoire, right ? And his Gestalt looked like an angel. What if he's actually one of Brother One's descendants ?
That could be the explanation to why he is the original gestalt. The grimoires were created by using maso from angelus's body, so Nier must have had some powers that didn't awaken within him just yet, but once he touched Noir, they were finally unleashed

Actually, look at his lack of enthusiasm, the fact he never lets his sister go, and watches the clones rise in his front as if they were his army to command. In other words, the exact reverse of everything that happens in ending C. I think this is the ending in which Caim's spirit is finally broken. Not even he has the spirit to murder his sister again and again, because it won't give her peace. Remember, Angelus commented he mixes love with murder when fighting Furiae, meaning if he doesn't let his sister go like he does for Angelus in ending C, that means he loses his will to fight, and that he was being genuine when he said he wanted to give Furiae peace in that fight.
That leads me to my other theory regarding Angelus. I used to believe Caim was Zero's reincarnation. Not anymore. I think Angelus is the reincarnation of Zero, merged with Mikhail's soul, an indirect gift from the Flower. Her personal reward. Be a human no longer. Belong to the only species she ever truly loved.
Let me see if I can recreate the scene again, based around the sleepy girl. In her case however, it's more centered around self-harm, which she seems to develop later after repressing it for a long time: -I'm sleepy. I'm always sleepy. I have been thinking about the importance of music for the Watchers to use their power and how important music is for Inuart, to the point that's his Pact's price. I wished there were videos dedicated to analysing this game's characters, such as the similarities between Inuart and Seere as artist/scholar and what makes Manah and Caim reflections of one another. Because it would help me spread this theory. I'm starting to think Inuart may indeed have Intoner blood in him (don't know if it is Brother One, Five or Zero that is his ancestor). It could explain, if you take anything about the disasterous happy go spin-off seriously, why only he and Furiae could use the Seed to birth the New breed. Dragon DNA mixed with Intoner and Goddess material... Remember that in "Drakengard 1.3", it is implied Dragons might actually be the Watchers from "Drakengard 1". I think this is the New breed they were unknowingly strifing for. The Watchers from "DoD 1" are VERY different from the ones from "3". They feel like black holes in baby form rather than destructive beasts of immense power. I think that's because they don't simply have Intoner power. They have dragon and Goddess power to back them up. That said, I don't think Inuart and Furiae died in the fortress. I think he her convinced her to bang, bringing the Watchers from "Drakengard 1.3" over.

That said, I think I have a timeline that explains how "Drakengard" and "Nier aren't set on different Earths, but on the same one, simply in different continents and time periods. It all starts with the Cathedral city being transferred from Earth's future into medieval Europe during the alien invasion we learn of in "Automata", forever changing the final outcome of humans, dragons and all the other species that inhabited our world. Us humans were meant to hunt down and destroy all magic on Earth, thus becoming the dominant species and being abandoned by God and Its angels when the 👽 invaded us. But the city got transferred into Europe during that invasion, probably in an attempt to save our species from extinction by preparing us for what was to come, introducing our science MUCH earlier and having humans in what would become the Imperial part of Europe/Midgard evolve at a rather fast but corrupting speed, leading God to decide that Mankind's time had come. If genocide or corruption were the only options with humans in charge, then a flower would rebuild life through self fertilization, using the decay for the proccess and replacing it with something that offered a better smell than humanity's. Unfortunately for the divine beings, Caim, Angelus, the dragons and everyone else would keep Furiae from achieving this goal, thus forcing the babies to come down, using Furiae's clones to form their mother/pathway. But even then, they would not be successful, because Seere would freeze everyone in Midgard so the insanity could not spread through out the globe. But before he could freeze the Mother, the monstrosity, realizing what was about to happen, would cut herself off from the womb and escape into the distant future, in a place far away from the frozen Midgard/Europe, when humanity's corruption reached its peak. This place was the Cathedral city, when it was still known as Tokyo. Angelus and Caim gave chase before they too could be frozen, and although they did keep the beast from rampaging, in the end, their battle would seal humanity's fate. So, conclusion: -Europe is a weird arc floating in the still waters of time, locked on an apocalyptic picture with an innocent child sleeping at the heart of everything, keeping humanity from reaching the world we know today, but probably keeping magic from going extinct, as I suspect it was the Europeans who began promoting the genocide of all magical creatures once the age of Discoveries began; -Asia still managed to develop, probably 50/50 the same (not sure if any country would be interested in initiating the Discoveries though), until the arrival of Caim, Angelus and the Mother Watcher, beginning the disease that would wipe out the remaining areas of the globe before the alien invasion; -The only humans and magic left are the Europeans and probably part of the Africans, all preserved like insects on crimson and black amber. If the androids or the machines will ever wake them up or try to prevent this timeline of events from happening however, is unknown. Earth is already on a delicate state. It could be unwise to do something radical now, though I suspect they will simply make sure the cycle starts anew in their attempts.
Do you know how "Legend of Zelda" has three timelines because we're actually experiencing the pre-"Breath of the Wild" events on the shoes of an archeologist/historian ? Well, what if the reason "Drakengard 1 and 3" has multiple branches is because "Nier" is actually the present day of this universe, while "Drakengard" is the player's attempts at piercing into the past, only to see bits and pieces mixed together into a forcefully constructed narrative ?

I'm torn between endings C and D/E (I like to believe the last two happen at the same time, that Seere's chain reaction did freeze Midgard's time, however, the Woman tried to save herself by separating from her womb and go through a freshly open portal, only for a drained Caim and a wounded Angelus to give chase before the black time freezing wave covered them).

Then again, it is kinda implied our world had its part to play in the calamities that befell "Drakengard", so maybe it's our fair punishment for helping that world's God. And like I said, I have this belief that endings D and E actually happen jointly, based on a theory I have regarding Seere and Mana's miserable progenitor.
Of all endings they could have based the second game around, they had really had to choose the least insane one ? The less deconstructive... Just one of the many flaws related to that game's plot. What I wouldn't have given for the second game to follow up from either ending C or D... Or maybe a mixture between endings D and E... Yeah... Maybe the latter it's the best option.
I cant believe I played this back in the day. Played through ALL the endings. Weird that they're separated because they seem to take place after each other. Just one huge ending that led to Neir. Except the first one, Drakengard 2 is canon to that ending. Anyway, the reason I played this back then, was because my dad rented it for me from a Blockbuster. I didn't know shit about this game. It was after I watched LoTR. So I guess my dad just took one look at the game box, saw a dragon & a knight on it, and thought I'd like it because its in that same genre. I did(plus, DragonHeart is why I always liked dragons). To the point that he got me the game later. Also, its no wonder I'm immune to the dark Berserk/AoT-level stuff Japan makes. I saw that shit since I was 12. And I can date it back because I remember renting Drakengard 2. But I never got that game. So I dont know wtf happens there, to lead to the 3rd game, which I haven't played at all.

I'm baaaaaaaack ! Anyway, the reason I returned was to talk about Angelus and Furiae. While I am not the second game's biggest fan, even I must recognize Yoko Taro's work in the scenario, giving even that game the feeling of an unreliable narrative. The marks holding Angelus... They're eerily similar to the symbols found around her in the first game. Given my theory that the second game is the fanfic someone from that universe created, basing it around the multiple historical reports surrounding "Drakengard 1 and 3", and Angelus's depiction in "Drakengard 1.3", I must ask. Is it possible she and Furiae in reality shared the burden of the seal ? Given dragons can reincarnate and she saw murder as a defiling against the soul, one has to wonder why she would accept a Pact. I think she did so because she knew that would undo the spell binding her as the seal, leaving that role for Furiae alone. It is my belief that just like the black dragon, she too was enslaved by the Union. Or perhaps, something else led her to receive the role.
havent watched this video, and i havent finished the game yet either (i've still got about one more session of grinding before i can play Ending E.....) but it appeared in my recommendeds, and i wanted to see if anyone had commented here recently. i just wanted to say that i think its powerful that youve come back to comment here multiple times

En resumidas cuentas, hay 5 sellos, 4 son templos físicos y el último es la propia Furiae, hermana de Caim, que muere asesinada en el primer final por Manah, la niña que baila durante su muerte, al romper los 5 sellos aparecen las semillas de la resurrección en la ciudad ardiente, que es básicamente Tokyo destruido el cual se encuentra en la edad media por alguna razón que no llego a entender, en el primer final básicamente crean un nuevo sello con el cuerpo de la dragona y el mundo sigue a salvo ya que los dioses no pueden bajar a la tierra, sin embargo es poco esperanzador porque es cuestión de tiempo que el sello se destruya y toso valga verga otra vez, en el segundo final Inuart lleva el cadáver de la difunta Furiae a una de las semillas de la resurrección creyendo que así la salvara, pero ya desde antes los personajes nos comentan que estas semillas lejos de haver milagros son el camino de dios para bajar a la tierra y al meter a Furiae en la semilla esta copia su código genético, Caim consigue matar a la Furiae original pero miles de ellas salen de las demás semillas mandadas por dios para destruir a la humanidad. El tercer final es el mas aburrido de todos a mi parecer, básicamente detienes a Inuart de llevar el cadáver de Furiae a la semilla de la resurrección pero Dios hace que los dragones que son la criaturas que están mas conectados con él tengan la misión de destruir a la humanidad, así que la dragona le dice a Caim que deben pelear a muerte (Esperando que él gane porque lo aprecia mucho) Caim gana la batalla y destruye la semilla de resurrección pero se oyen a todos los dragones alzarse afuera, asi que sale a pelear para intentar hacer algo (Muy probablemente muere y la humanidad es extinguida) El cuarto final es el mas elaborado y yo supongo que es el canónico para Drakengard 2, todo el grupo que va con Caim muere luchando contra el mismísimo dios y los vigilantes que son esos bebés blancos, al final Seere, el niño, da su vida para detener el tiempo en Midgard y dejando así que la vida continue mientras él duerme eternamente, él es capaz de hacer esto ya que hizo un pacto con un golem de tierra, al haver un pacto debes entregar algo de ti, Caim dio su voz por ejemplo, y Seere dio su 'tiempo' volviéndolo inmortal y haciendo que sea eternamente un niño, siendo así mientras Seere viva, Midgard seguirá existiendo porque él mantiene controlados a los vigilantes y a dios, dandole un significsdo muy curioso a cuando Inuart dice "Tengo a los dioses de mi lado, nada puede salirme mal" creo que en su ignorancia no sabe que deberías mantener a esos dioses lo mas alejados de la humanidad posible. El último final es un poco salido de la nada pero ocurre a la vez que el anterior porque Caim cruza el portal que crea Arioch y es mandado a Tokyo en la actualidad (Recordemos que la ciudad en llamas de Midgard es tokyo destruido) y pelea contra la diosa inherte, gana la batalla pero unos aviones lo interceptan y muere dando lugar a la línea temporal de NieR, en ese juego se menciona el suceso de la caida de un gran dragon rojo del cielo. Eso es todo resumido xD
@@aleeec02 Bueno pues toca resumir el juego y es mucho texto, la historia en teoría debería comenzar en drakengard 3 pero su conexión con drakengard 1 es complicada para mi así que me lo saltare. Desde ahora te digo que todos los personajes aqui son unos enfermos con algún trastorno, esto bajo la premisa de que en las historias de héroes derrotando cientos de enemigos para una buena causa tienen que ser mentira ya que nadie mentalmente sano seria capas de acabar con la vida de cientos de personas y seguir estando sano. El el mundo de midgard donde se desarrolla el juego de la nada apareció una cuidad que mas tarde se denomino como el imperio, junto a la ciudad llego la magia al mundo y criaturas mágicas como dragones y las demás razas pero estas no tenían memorias de antes de llegar a midgar por lo que se asentaron y formaron parte del mundo pasaron los años y en el mundo empezó a aparecer una nueva enfermedad que enloquecía al que la portara llamada la enfermedad de los ojos rojos, pero nadie esperaba que en el imperio empezara una guerra contra todas las naciones y que sus filas estaban formadas por personas que padecían los ojos rojos con el propósito de destruir los sellos (de donde salieron estos mas o menos se explica en drakengard 3, novelas y mangas pero eso seria agregar mucho texto así que quédate que sin estos sellos el mundo se acaba) las demás naciones al no poder ser capaces de enfrentar este ejercito y temiendo el fin del mundo deciden hacer un ultimo intento realizando una alianza entre todos los paises contra el imperio llamada la legión. Entre muchas de estas batallas llegarían al castillo de nuestro prota llamado Cain y su hermana Furyae que es una de las batallas los padres de estos resultaron asesinados por un dragón negro que formaba parte del imperio, tiempo después Cain se unirse a la legión bajo la excusa de poder proteger a Furyae ya que esta fue seleccionada para volverse la diosa ( estas no son diosas reales solo se le llaman así, en realidad son sellos para proteger el mundo como una ultima contramedida, estas se vuelven diosas bajo la condición de que tienen que vivir aisladas y no pueden tener ni amoríos ni hijos) esta ultima condición le pesa mucho ya que esta tiene sentimientos incestuosos hacia Cain que mantiene en secreto y mientras mantiene como fachada que esta enamorada de Inuart un amigo cercano de Cain, y Cain desde la muerte de su padre genero un odio inmenso hacia los dragones y el imperio hasta el punto de volverlo un sociópata sediento de sangre que usa esta guerra y la excusa de proteger a furyae para poder saciar su hambre. (aquí comienza el juego) Un día el castillo de Furyae es atacado y el imperio toma el castillo pero sin llegar al cuarto donde esta se encontraba, y mandan al ejercito de Cain salvar a Furyae ya que esta es la ultima diosa con vida ya que las demás fueron asesinadas, secuestradas o desaparecidas al poco tiempo de volverse diosas, y en esta batalla como siempre Cain decide ir al frente de la batalla mientras derrota hordas de enemigos y Cain recibe heridas mortales y entrando al castillo que ya fue tomado por el imperio encuentra a una dragona roja que estaba siendo torturada para que se uniera al imperio por lo que genero un odio inmenso a los humanos, ambos en una situación desesperada forman un pacto ( un pacto es cuando 2 seres unen sus almas volverse mas fuertes, solo se ha visto que se pueda hacer entre humanos por una parte y la otra un ser mágico y los humanos al ser mas débiles tienen que entregar una parte de sus cuerpos en función a la personalidad y no es algo que puedan elegir y la vida de ambos queda vinculada por lo que si uno muere el otro también lo hará) Cain al formar el pacto se cura de sus heridas mortales pero pierde la capacidad del habla y el dragón rojo recupera sus fuerzas y logra escapar de su prisión, después de esto acaban ataque del imperio y salvan a Furyae. ( de aquí rusheo un poco la historia ya que como te diré cada final y solo diré cuando le pasan cosas o se unen los personajes al grupo y en el final A no no se une nadie quitando a hierearch ) de aqui tanto Cain, Furyae y Inuart deciden ir a los demás sellos para protegerlos ya que el imperio decide realizar ataques a los sellos, en este camino se reúnen con hierarch que es el líder religioso que adora y protege los sellos ( este personaje es un cobarde en situaciones de peligro y solo piensa en la salvación hasta el punto que cuando Furyae esta afligida por sus sentimientos hacia Cain que tiene que contener o sus preocupaciones, este piensa que solo esta preocupada por los sellos hasta el punto de que de forma personal deshumaniza a Furyae y solo la ve como la diosa aparte de que este tiempo atrás formo un pacto con un dragón petrificado y este perdió su pelo, lo tomo que es viejo este es superficial y vanidoso y que solo se preocupa por el mismo) después de ir a unos de los sellos atacados y darse cuenta que llegaron tarde e hiererch se unió Inuart es raptado por el imperio y yendo a los demás sellos que llegan tarde y son destruidos, inuart en la base del imperio esta siendo torturado y termina siendo infectado por los ojos rojos y mientras le levan el cerebro lo convencen sus sospechas y acepta que furyae quiere a Cain mas que a el y que si Inuart ayuda al imperio le quitaran la posición de diosa a Furyae y estos podrán estar juntos, con esto Inuart realiza un pacto con el mismo dragon negro que mato a los padres de Cain y este pierde su habilidad de canto( esto es importante ya que cuando presentan al personaje este es un trovador y que a Furyae amaba su canto, por lo que podemos decir que aquí perdió lo único que realmente amaba Furyae de el) Inuart ahora con la enfermedad de los ojos rojos rapta a Furyae y la lleva a la base del imperio que es un castillo volador y aquí Cain se infiltra y aquí nos revelan que el líder del imperio es una niña pequeña llamada manah y esta en el tiempo que tardasmo descubriendo donde se encuentra la base del imperio, manah descubre los sentimientos ocultos de Furyae por lo que aquí en cuento nos reunimos con furyae manah revela todo y Cain muestra rechazo a esto lo que rompe a Furyae y en desesperación esta se auto mata por miedo a afrontar el rechazo, con el ultimo sello roto ósea Furyae la diosa, en el mundo aparecen unas esferas llamadas las semillas de la destrucción que presagian el fin del mundo, en esto decide seguir a manah que ha escapado, este llega a la ciudad del imperio, se enfrenta a manah y esta empieza a hablar de unos seres llamados los custodios/watchers y cuando en derrotada sale de un trance en el que estaba metida por lo que pide ser asesinada por Cain, pero Cain se niega para que esta vea toda la destrucción que provoco y sea odiada por todos los seres humanos, y cain al darse cuenta sin la diosa o un sello no han podido resolver todo nada, por lo que la dragón rojo decide sacrificarse para volverse el sello, antes de que esto suceda la drafon rojo le revela su nombre a Cain siendo este Angelus y rompe el pacto con Cain para que este no desaparezca con ella y Cain llora por primera y única vez en el juego y con esto demuestra que Cain llego a amar a Angelus ( posiblemente porque ambos compartian un odio al imperio y amor por la matanza, y si un dragón le gano a a Furyae en el amor) en este final Cain termina solo y este es el final que mas se parece al que conecta con drakengard 2 pero realmente lo que lo conecta es de una novela pero este se parece mucho así que se puede tomar como ejemplo, este es el final A. la Angustia de un vigilante serio
@@aleeec02 (desde aquí serán mas cortos ya que sabes el contexto y solo difiere al momento de la muerte de Furyae y que ahora a diferencia de la ruta A cuando vas a los sellos se te unen compañeros por lo que ahora sea mas fácil) En el final B la primera diferencia es que cuando vas a unos de los sellos específicamente uno que estaba bajo protección de las hadas, aquí cuando vamos todo esta nos encontramos con un nómada llamada Leonard ( este personaje es un tiene sentimientos indebidos con niños por lo se alejo de su aldea donde vivía para evitar llegarle a hacer algo a uno ya que este entiende que sus sentimientos por estos son algo malo pero no puede evitar tenerlos, por lo que se muda fuera de la aldea con sus hermanos pequeños pero este cada cierto tiempo vuelve a verse tentado por lo que va a la aldea y espía a los niños digamos jalarse la solución desde los arbustos para luego odiarse y sentirse mal con sigo mismo pero un día regresando de hacer esto al regresar a su casa ve que el imperio paso por esa zona y acabo con su casa quitándole la vida a sus hermanos este lleno de pena intenta quitarse la vida también pero al final no tiene el valor suficiente para hacerlo por lo que decide viajar como nómada en este viaje se encuentra cerca de Cain cuando viajaba al sello, Leonard mientras estaba cerca se le acerca un hada que es muy maliciosa por lo que aprovechándose de la debilidad de Leonard lo fuerza a realizar un pacto con este en el cual Leonard pierde la vista pero consigue potenciar sus otros sentidos y parece poder ver la escancia de las personas, después de esto Leonard que no le gustan las batallas pero aun así entiende que se debe acabar con el imperio y se une a Cain, en este camino se enfrentan al imperio y Leonard queda horrorizado ya que el batallón que están enfrentando en esta zona son demasiados jóvenes para entrar a la guerra pero ya que todos están infectados por los ojos rojos no hay otra solución pero le pide a Cain que sea mas piadoso con sus muertes pero Cain como siempre no le importa contra quien se enfrenta y acaba sin piedad con sus enemigos, al final llegan tarde y los sellos son destruidos, de aqui viajamos a otros se sello que de camino encontramos un barco de prisioneros que estaba tirando por la borda no podemos hacer mucho y seguimos nuestro camino al sello al llegar perdimos el sello pero para que no todo este perdido nos dicen que cerca de donde estamos es donde se encontraba hierarch ( se me olvido decir que hasta ahora aunque lo liberamos en el ruta A, la primera parte del juego hasta que intentamos proteger el tercer sellos este personaje se comunicaba telepáticamente ya que entre las personas con pactos se pueden comunicar de esta forma y es asi que Cain puede hablar atreves de Angelus) que estaba capturado, lo liberamos y todo sigue igual que la ruta A, capturan a inuart, nos traiciona y se lleva a Furyae pero aqui (también se me olvido decir que en todas las rutas antes de llegar a la base flotante del imperio enfrentamos a Inuartd por ultima vez, en la ruta A lo derrotamos y no vuelve a aparecer) aquí pasa lo mismo pero a encontrarnos con Furyae y esta morir Inuart al ver el cadaver de su amada( Inuardt sobrevive solo que en todas las rutas a nuestra batalla final pero para este punto en adelante se dedica a escapar) se lo lleva ya que le mintieron y cree que si la podra revivir si mete el cadaver de Furyae en la semilla de la destrucción que aparecieron, por lo que Cain va y sigue a Inuart ya que según angelus si lo dejan seguir pasara algo horrible, los seguimos pero es demasiado tarde e inuart logra y pasa lo que ves en el minuto 3:58 donde Furyae revive y pero convertida en un monstruo angelical y acaba con la vida de Inuart de qui nos toca acabar con "eso" y al acabar vemos que las otras semillas salen criaturas similares, el mundo esta acabado. flores de un espíritu roto (flowers for the Broken spirit)

If I was the one to make the anime movie/series based on this game, I think in terms of timeline, I would make it similar to "Evangelion", meaning there would be two versions of it.
First, we would see route C, but with the final monologue following Caim's race towards battle being similar to "1.3", so we would get the revelation dragons are the Watchers and the Seeds/Eggs, objects that exist through out time all at once, and this route is an entire time loop of sorts.
But then, after the credits, Accord's voice would be heard explaining the concept of timelines and Singularities, taking us to a route that is a mix of routes B, D and E, in order to make this "true" ending as Lovecraftian as possible.

Guys, guys... Nier was the only one capable of having a full Pact with the Grimoire, right ? And his Gestalt looked like an angel. What if he's actually one of Brother One's descendants ?
That could be the explanation to why he is the original gestalt. The grimoires were created by using maso from angelus's body, so Nier must have had some powers that didn't awaken within him just yet, but once he touched Noir, they were finally unleashed

Actually, look at his lack of enthusiasm, the fact he never lets his sister go, and watches the clones rise in his front as if they were his army to command. In other words, the exact reverse of everything that happens in ending C.
I think this is the ending in which Caim's spirit is finally broken. Not even he has the spirit to murder his sister again and again, because it won't give her peace.
Remember, Angelus commented he mixes love with murder when fighting Furiae, meaning if he doesn't let his sister go like he does for Angelus in ending C, that means he loses his will to fight, and that he was being genuine when he said he wanted to give Furiae peace in that fight.

I have been thinking about the importance of music for the Watchers to use their power and how important music is for Inuart, to the point that's his Pact's price.
I wished there were videos dedicated to analysing this game's characters, such as the similarities between Inuart and Seere as artist/scholar and what makes Manah and Caim reflections of one another.
Because it would help me spread this theory. I'm starting to think Inuart may indeed have Intoner blood in him (don't know if it is Brother One, Five or Zero that is his ancestor). It could explain, if you take anything about the disasterous happy go spin-off seriously, why only he and Furiae could use the Seed to birth the New breed. Dragon DNA mixed with Intoner and Goddess material... Remember that in "Drakengard 1.3", it is implied Dragons might actually be the Watchers from "Drakengard 1". I think this is the New breed they were unknowingly strifing for.
The Watchers from "DoD 1" are VERY different from the ones from "3". They feel like black holes in baby form rather than destructive beasts of immense power. I think that's because they don't simply have Intoner power. They have dragon and Goddess power to back them up. That said, I don't think Inuart and Furiae died in the fortress. I think he her convinced her to bang, bringing the Watchers from "Drakengard 1.3" over.

That said, I think I have a timeline that explains how "Drakengard" and "Nier aren't set on different Earths, but on the same one, simply in different continents and time periods.
It all starts with the Cathedral city being transferred from Earth's future into medieval Europe during the alien invasion we learn of in "Automata", forever changing the final outcome of humans, dragons and all the other species that inhabited our world.
Us humans were meant to hunt down and destroy all magic on Earth, thus becoming the dominant species and being abandoned by God and Its angels when the 👽 invaded us. But the city got transferred into Europe during that invasion, probably in an attempt to save our species from extinction by preparing us for what was to come, introducing our science MUCH earlier and having humans in what would become the Imperial part of Europe/Midgard evolve at a rather fast but corrupting speed, leading God to decide that Mankind's time had come. If genocide or corruption were the only options with humans in charge, then a flower would rebuild life through self fertilization, using the decay for the proccess and replacing it with something that offered a better smell than humanity's.
Unfortunately for the divine beings, Caim, Angelus, the dragons and everyone else would keep Furiae from achieving this goal, thus forcing the babies to come down, using Furiae's clones to form their mother/pathway. But even then, they would not be successful, because Seere would freeze everyone in Midgard so the insanity could not spread through out the globe. But before he could freeze the Mother, the monstrosity, realizing what was about to happen, would cut herself off from the womb and escape into the distant future, in a place far away from the frozen Midgard/Europe, when humanity's corruption reached its peak. This place was the Cathedral city, when it was still known as Tokyo. Angelus and Caim gave chase before they too could be frozen, and although they did keep the beast from rampaging, in the end, their battle would seal humanity's fate.
So, conclusion:
-Europe is a weird arc floating in the still waters of time, locked on an apocalyptic picture with an innocent child sleeping at the heart of everything, keeping humanity from reaching the world we know today, but probably keeping magic from going extinct, as I suspect it was the Europeans who began promoting the genocide of all magical creatures once the age of Discoveries began;
-Asia still managed to develop, probably 50/50 the same (not sure if any country would be interested in initiating the Discoveries though), until the arrival of Caim, Angelus and the Mother Watcher, beginning the disease that would wipe out the remaining areas of the globe before the alien invasion;
-The only humans and magic left are the Europeans and probably part of the Africans, all preserved like insects on crimson and black amber. If the androids or the machines will ever wake them up or try to prevent this timeline of events from happening however, is unknown. Earth is already on a delicate state. It could be unwise to do something radical now, though I suspect they will simply make sure the cycle starts anew in their attempts.

Of all endings they could have based the second game around, they had really had to choose the least insane one ? The less deconstructive... Just one of the many flaws related to that game's plot. What I wouldn't have given for the second game to follow up from either ending C or D... Or maybe a mixture between endings D and E... Yeah... Maybe the latter it's the best option.

I cant believe I played this back in the day. Played through ALL the endings. Weird that they're separated because they seem to take place after each other. Just one huge ending that led to Neir. Except the first one, Drakengard 2 is canon to that ending.
Anyway, the reason I played this back then, was because my dad rented it for me from a Blockbuster. I didn't know shit about this game. It was after I watched LoTR. So I guess my dad just took one look at the game box, saw a dragon & a knight on it, and thought I'd like it because its in that same genre. I did(plus, DragonHeart is why I always liked dragons).
To the point that he got me the game later. Also, its no wonder I'm immune to the dark Berserk/AoT-level stuff Japan makes. I saw that shit since I was 12.
And I can date it back because I remember renting Drakengard 2. But I never got that game. So I dont know wtf happens there, to lead to the 3rd game, which I haven't played at all.

Anyway, the reason I returned was to talk about Angelus and Furiae. While I am not the second game's biggest fan, even I must recognize Yoko Taro's work in the scenario, giving even that game the feeling of an unreliable narrative.
The marks holding Angelus... They're eerily similar to the symbols found around her in the first game. Given my theory that the second game is the fanfic someone from that universe created, basing it around the multiple historical reports surrounding "Drakengard 1 and 3", and Angelus's depiction in "Drakengard 1.3", I must ask. Is it possible she and Furiae in reality shared the burden of the seal ? Given dragons can reincarnate and she saw murder as a defiling against the soul, one has to wonder why she would accept a Pact. I think she did so because she knew that would undo the spell binding her as the seal, leaving that role for Furiae alone.
It is my belief that just like the black dragon, she too was enslaved by the Union. Or perhaps, something else led her to receive the role.

En resumidas cuentas, hay 5 sellos, 4 son templos físicos y el último es la propia Furiae, hermana de Caim, que muere asesinada en el primer final por Manah, la niña que baila durante su muerte, al romper los 5 sellos aparecen las semillas de la resurrección en la ciudad ardiente, que es básicamente Tokyo destruido el cual se encuentra en la edad media por alguna razón que no llego a entender, en el primer final básicamente crean un nuevo sello con el cuerpo de la dragona y el mundo sigue a salvo ya que los dioses no pueden bajar a la tierra, sin embargo es poco esperanzador porque es cuestión de tiempo que el sello se destruya y toso valga verga otra vez, en el segundo final Inuart lleva el cadáver de la difunta Furiae a una de las semillas de la resurrección creyendo que así la salvara, pero ya desde antes los personajes nos comentan que estas semillas lejos de haver milagros son el camino de dios para bajar a la tierra y al meter a Furiae en la semilla esta copia su código genético, Caim consigue matar a la Furiae original pero miles de ellas salen de las demás semillas mandadas por dios para destruir a la humanidad.
El tercer final es el mas aburrido de todos a mi parecer, básicamente detienes a Inuart de llevar el cadáver de Furiae a la semilla de la resurrección pero Dios hace que los dragones que son la criaturas que están mas conectados con él tengan la misión de destruir a la humanidad, así que la dragona le dice a Caim que deben pelear a muerte (Esperando que él gane porque lo aprecia mucho) Caim gana la batalla y destruye la semilla de resurrección pero se oyen a todos los dragones alzarse afuera, asi que sale a pelear para intentar hacer algo (Muy probablemente muere y la humanidad es extinguida)
El cuarto final es el mas elaborado y yo supongo que es el canónico para Drakengard 2, todo el grupo que va con Caim muere luchando contra el mismísimo dios y los vigilantes que son esos bebés blancos, al final Seere, el niño, da su vida para detener el tiempo en Midgard y dejando así que la vida continue mientras él duerme eternamente, él es capaz de hacer esto ya que hizo un pacto con un golem de tierra, al haver un pacto debes entregar algo de ti, Caim dio su voz por ejemplo, y Seere dio su 'tiempo' volviéndolo inmortal y haciendo que sea eternamente un niño, siendo así mientras Seere viva, Midgard seguirá existiendo porque él mantiene controlados a los vigilantes y a dios, dandole un significsdo muy curioso a cuando Inuart dice "Tengo a los dioses de mi lado, nada puede salirme mal" creo que en su ignorancia no sabe que deberías mantener a esos dioses lo mas alejados de la humanidad posible.
El último final es un poco salido de la nada pero ocurre a la vez que el anterior porque Caim cruza el portal que crea Arioch y es mandado a Tokyo en la actualidad (Recordemos que la ciudad en llamas de Midgard es tokyo destruido) y pelea contra la diosa inherte, gana la batalla pero unos aviones lo interceptan y muere dando lugar a la línea temporal de NieR, en ese juego se menciona el suceso de la caida de un gran dragon rojo del cielo.

@@aleeec02 Bueno pues toca resumir el juego y es mucho texto, la historia en teoría debería comenzar en drakengard 3 pero su conexión con drakengard 1 es complicada para mi así que me lo saltare.
Desde ahora te digo que todos los personajes aqui son unos enfermos con algún trastorno, esto bajo la premisa de que en las historias de héroes derrotando cientos de enemigos para una buena causa tienen que ser mentira ya que nadie mentalmente sano seria capas de acabar con la vida de cientos de personas y seguir estando sano.
El el mundo de midgard donde se desarrolla el juego de la nada apareció una cuidad que mas tarde se denomino como el imperio, junto a la ciudad llego la magia al mundo y criaturas mágicas como dragones y las demás razas pero estas no tenían memorias de antes de llegar a midgar por lo que se asentaron y formaron parte del mundo pasaron los años y en el mundo empezó a aparecer una nueva enfermedad que enloquecía al que la portara llamada la enfermedad de los ojos rojos, pero nadie esperaba que en el imperio empezara una guerra contra todas las naciones y que sus filas estaban formadas por personas que padecían los ojos rojos con el propósito de destruir los sellos (de donde salieron estos mas o menos se explica en drakengard 3, novelas y mangas pero eso seria agregar mucho texto así que quédate que sin estos sellos el mundo se acaba) las demás naciones al no poder ser capaces de enfrentar este ejercito y temiendo el fin del mundo deciden hacer un ultimo intento realizando una alianza entre todos los paises contra el imperio llamada la legión.
Entre muchas de estas batallas llegarían al castillo de nuestro prota llamado Cain y su hermana Furyae que es una de las batallas los padres de estos resultaron asesinados por un dragón negro que formaba parte del imperio, tiempo después Cain se unirse a la legión bajo la excusa de poder proteger a Furyae ya que esta fue seleccionada para volverse la diosa ( estas no son diosas reales solo se le llaman así, en realidad son sellos para proteger el mundo como una ultima contramedida, estas se vuelven diosas bajo la condición de que tienen que vivir aisladas y no pueden tener ni amoríos ni hijos) esta ultima condición le pesa mucho ya que esta tiene sentimientos incestuosos hacia Cain que mantiene en secreto y mientras mantiene como fachada que esta enamorada de Inuart un amigo cercano de Cain, y Cain desde la muerte de su padre genero un odio inmenso hacia los dragones y el imperio hasta el punto de volverlo un sociópata sediento de sangre que usa esta guerra y la excusa de proteger a furyae para poder saciar su hambre.
(aquí comienza el juego) Un día el castillo de Furyae es atacado y el imperio toma el castillo pero sin llegar al cuarto donde esta se encontraba, y mandan al ejercito de Cain salvar a Furyae ya que esta es la ultima diosa con vida ya que las demás fueron asesinadas, secuestradas o desaparecidas al poco tiempo de volverse diosas, y en esta batalla como siempre Cain decide ir al frente de la batalla mientras derrota hordas de enemigos y Cain recibe heridas mortales y entrando al castillo que ya fue tomado por el imperio encuentra a una dragona roja que estaba siendo torturada para que se uniera al imperio por lo que genero un odio inmenso a los humanos, ambos en una situación desesperada forman un pacto ( un pacto es cuando 2 seres unen sus almas volverse mas fuertes, solo se ha visto que se pueda hacer entre humanos por una parte y la otra un ser mágico y los humanos al ser mas débiles tienen que entregar una parte de sus cuerpos en función a la personalidad y no es algo que puedan elegir y la vida de ambos queda vinculada por lo que si uno muere el otro también lo hará) Cain al formar el pacto se cura de sus heridas mortales pero pierde la capacidad del habla y el dragón rojo recupera sus fuerzas y logra escapar de su prisión, después de esto acaban ataque del imperio y salvan a Furyae.
( de aquí rusheo un poco la historia ya que como te diré cada final y solo diré cuando le pasan cosas o se unen los personajes al grupo y en el final A no no se une nadie quitando a hierearch ) de aqui tanto Cain, Furyae y Inuart deciden ir a los demás sellos para protegerlos ya que el imperio decide realizar ataques a los sellos, en este camino se reúnen con hierarch que es el líder religioso que adora y protege los sellos ( este personaje es un cobarde en situaciones de peligro y solo piensa en la salvación hasta el punto que cuando Furyae esta afligida por sus sentimientos hacia Cain que tiene que contener o sus preocupaciones, este piensa que solo esta preocupada por los sellos hasta el punto de que de forma personal deshumaniza a Furyae y solo la ve como la diosa aparte de que este tiempo atrás formo un pacto con un dragón petrificado y este perdió su pelo, lo tomo que es viejo este es superficial y vanidoso y que solo se preocupa por el mismo) después de ir a unos de los sellos atacados y darse cuenta que llegaron tarde e hiererch se unió Inuart es raptado por el imperio y yendo a los demás sellos que llegan tarde y son destruidos, inuart en la base del imperio esta siendo torturado y termina siendo infectado por los ojos rojos y mientras le levan el cerebro lo convencen sus sospechas y acepta que furyae quiere a Cain mas que a el y que si Inuart ayuda al imperio le quitaran la posición de diosa a Furyae y estos podrán estar juntos, con esto Inuart realiza un pacto con el mismo dragon negro que mato a los padres de Cain y este pierde su habilidad de canto( esto es importante ya que cuando presentan al personaje este es un trovador y que a Furyae amaba su canto, por lo que podemos decir que aquí perdió lo único que realmente amaba Furyae de el) Inuart ahora con la enfermedad de los ojos rojos rapta a Furyae y la lleva a la base del imperio que es un castillo volador y aquí Cain se infiltra y aquí nos revelan que el líder del imperio es una niña pequeña llamada manah y esta en el tiempo que tardasmo descubriendo donde se encuentra la base del imperio, manah descubre los sentimientos ocultos de Furyae por lo que aquí en cuento nos reunimos con furyae manah revela todo y Cain muestra rechazo a esto lo que rompe a Furyae y en desesperación esta se auto mata por miedo a afrontar el rechazo, con el ultimo sello roto ósea Furyae la diosa, en el mundo aparecen unas esferas llamadas las semillas de la destrucción que presagian el fin del mundo, en esto decide seguir a manah que ha escapado, este llega a la ciudad del imperio, se enfrenta a manah y esta empieza a hablar de unos seres llamados los custodios/watchers y cuando en derrotada sale de un trance en el que estaba metida por lo que pide ser asesinada por Cain, pero Cain se niega para que esta vea toda la destrucción que provoco y sea odiada por todos los seres humanos, y cain al darse cuenta sin la diosa o un sello no han podido resolver todo nada, por lo que la dragón rojo decide sacrificarse para volverse el sello, antes de que esto suceda la drafon rojo le revela su nombre a Cain siendo este Angelus y rompe el pacto con Cain para que este no desaparezca con ella y Cain llora por primera y única vez en el juego y con esto demuestra que Cain llego a amar a Angelus ( posiblemente porque ambos compartian un odio al imperio y amor por la matanza, y si un dragón le gano a a Furyae en el amor) en este final Cain termina solo y este es el final que mas se parece al que conecta con drakengard 2 pero realmente lo que lo conecta es de una novela pero este se parece mucho así que se puede tomar como ejemplo, este es el final A. la Angustia de un vigilante serio
@@aleeec02 (desde aquí serán mas cortos ya que sabes el contexto y solo difiere al momento de la muerte de Furyae y que ahora a diferencia de la ruta A cuando vas a los sellos se te unen compañeros por lo que ahora sea mas fácil) En el final B la primera diferencia es que cuando vas a unos de los sellos específicamente uno que estaba bajo protección de las hadas, aquí cuando vamos todo esta nos encontramos con un nómada llamada Leonard ( este personaje es un tiene sentimientos indebidos con niños por lo se alejo de su aldea donde vivía para evitar llegarle a hacer algo a uno ya que este entiende que sus sentimientos por estos son algo malo pero no puede evitar tenerlos, por lo que se muda fuera de la aldea con sus hermanos pequeños pero este cada cierto tiempo vuelve a verse tentado por lo que va a la aldea y espía a los niños digamos jalarse la solución desde los arbustos para luego odiarse y sentirse mal con sigo mismo pero un día regresando de hacer esto al regresar a su casa ve que el imperio paso por esa zona y acabo con su casa quitándole la vida a sus hermanos este lleno de pena intenta quitarse la vida también pero al final no tiene el valor suficiente para hacerlo por lo que decide viajar como nómada en este viaje se encuentra cerca de Cain cuando viajaba al sello, Leonard mientras estaba cerca se le acerca un hada que es muy maliciosa por lo que aprovechándose de la debilidad de Leonard lo fuerza a realizar un pacto con este en el cual Leonard pierde la vista pero consigue potenciar sus otros sentidos y parece poder ver la escancia de las personas, después de esto Leonard que no le gustan las batallas pero aun así entiende que se debe acabar con el imperio y se une a Cain, en este camino se enfrentan al imperio y Leonard queda horrorizado ya que el batallón que están enfrentando en esta zona son demasiados jóvenes para entrar a la guerra pero ya que todos están infectados por los ojos rojos no hay otra solución pero le pide a Cain que sea mas piadoso con sus muertes pero Cain como siempre no le importa contra quien se enfrenta y acaba sin piedad con sus enemigos, al final llegan tarde y los sellos son destruidos, de aqui viajamos a otros se sello que de camino encontramos un barco de prisioneros que estaba tirando por la borda no podemos hacer mucho y seguimos nuestro camino al sello al llegar perdimos el sello pero para que no todo este perdido nos dicen que cerca de donde estamos es donde se encontraba hierarch ( se me olvido decir que hasta ahora aunque lo liberamos en el ruta A, la primera parte del juego hasta que intentamos proteger el tercer sellos este personaje se comunicaba telepáticamente ya que entre las personas con pactos se pueden comunicar de esta forma y es asi que Cain puede hablar atreves de Angelus) que estaba capturado, lo liberamos y todo sigue igual que la ruta A, capturan a inuart, nos traiciona y se lleva a Furyae pero aqui (también se me olvido decir que en todas las rutas antes de llegar a la base flotante del imperio enfrentamos a Inuartd por ultima vez, en la ruta A lo derrotamos y no vuelve a aparecer) aquí pasa lo mismo pero a encontrarnos con Furyae y esta morir Inuart al ver el cadaver de su amada( Inuardt sobrevive solo que en todas las rutas a nuestra batalla final pero para este punto en adelante se dedica a escapar) se lo lleva ya que le mintieron y cree que si la podra revivir si mete el cadaver de Furyae en la semilla de la destrucción que aparecieron, por lo que Cain va y sigue a Inuart ya que según angelus si lo dejan seguir pasara algo horrible, los seguimos pero es demasiado tarde e inuart logra y pasa lo que ves en el minuto 3:58 donde Furyae revive y pero convertida en un monstruo angelical y acaba con la vida de Inuart de qui nos toca acabar con "eso" y al acabar vemos que las otras semillas salen criaturas similares, el mundo esta acabado. flores de un espíritu roto (flowers for the Broken spirit)
jamas habia visto un final tan pero tan culero. estan deprimente que te hace pensar que los demas titulos de "Square Enix" en futuros juegos te esperaran finales asi, por ello te piensas en no comprar algun juego de esa franquicia xD

I'm not sure he would commit suicide, since he's not a seal like Furiae...but since the world is ending in the anime, I guess he would want to go out on his terms.
