This songs speaks volume of a West Virginia coal miner. My husband was a coal miner for 35 years and he risk his life for all of us to have electricity and to meet the need of people, if you never been underground don't judge the miner. If they don't work how is people going to have jobs and make a living for their family. Think before for u down the coal mines. I am a proud wife of a WV coal miner, He have gave a lot and he doesn't ask for a pat on the back just don't mess with his way of life.
My Dad was a miner from age 14 to 36 when he got another job in education teaching welding and shop, my roots run deep in the coal feilds of Randolph County WV and I am proud to be the son of a coal miner and will soon be one my-self. Remember, the deeper we go, the more she likes it!!!! HAHAHA
I LOVE WEST VIRGINIA COAL.
I am WV Coalminer's Wife/Daughter/Grandaughter && Sister.
I live in central Ohio but Grandpa was born and raised in Harlan County Kentucky.
my daddy and a lot of my family are and was miners i support it all the way from Gilbert west Virginia here
My Grandpa, Angelo Zeni, worked in the mines. Became certified as an electrician, too. Contracted the black lung and used his savings & settlement compensation & sold surplus steel Army desks he bought at auctions, then borrowed the rest and started a company that became Zeni Drilling Co. We used to be out on Rt. 19 south of Mt. Morris before we sold out. Mechanized large diameter shafts. We drilled at least 1,200 of your vents for 30 with only 1 fatality. I still live here. I ain't movin'.
Iam from west virginia and iam proud of it
WE SO LOVE OUR COALMINERS!!! WE'VE PERFORMED THIS SONG HUNDREDS OF TIMES AND IT STILL PUMPS US UP EVERYTIME!!
My daddy was coal miner for 45 years. He dug coal using a shovel and lying on his back in a black hole with 3 ft between him and the top of the mines. I have all the respect in the world for all of these hardworking, brave men and women.
Was proud to have lived in same little town as Brian and Wendy ! I use to go watch them in the lil country bars on weekends . had lots of laughs with Wendy in school . you did west by god Virginia proud guys !
My dad spent his entire life with the coal mines in WV. and made a good living until one day he found out that he had blacklung. It was 14 yrs. later after his health went down hill he started receiving blacklung benefits. He didn't last very long after he got his money coming in until he died but he was proud to have been a coal miner. My mother still receives blacklung benefits today. Thank God for the mines without them she would not be drawing any money except her social security
Hey man I jsut wanted to say sorry for your loss. As someone from West Virginia I can say your dad was a hero. I hope this finds you well six years later.

I miss when Taylor Made was in Nashville. They are some of the best performers I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching live and I miss when they made new music. I may be a little biased because they’re my family but if you’ve ever watched them live, their stage presence is amazing. I’ve never seen anyone have as much fun on stage as they do.

Mountain Justice does not oppose underground coal mining. We have several former underground miners as members.
Mountain Justice opposes mountaintop removal and steep-slope strip mining.
Mountain Justice's motto is:
"For the Miners, For the Families, For the Mountains"
i love this song my daddys a ky coal miner
It was 60 degrees in the MIDDLE of December today here in West Virginia. Thats not normal.

So proud of my surface miner!!!
I am a coal miners daughter, however, I am lucky to know that he worked in an Open Pit mine in the heart of the Rockies, dealing with fires, below 0 temperatures and safety hazards all over... I am thankful that it gave my daddy a job, and a purpose... just too bad that it also wore him down. I thank the mine for helping him support his family... but truly... just thankful he wasn't underground.
Hell yeah west virginia born and raised

Hey, TAYLOR MADE, you don't know me but I am a long lost cousin. West "By God" Virginia is home; Pleasant Creek even more so. Great performance. Donnie Thompson
My dad was a miner and even back in the 70's he said it was time to move away from coal to better sustainable sources of energy. We all need to start moving forward towards new sources of energy rather than blowing up mountains to get at the stuff. I'm from WV and I love it so much that I want to protect it. What do you think is going to happen to WV once those big companies get all the coal out. You think they'll stick around to clean up their mess and help out the people left behind?
That’s is so right West Virginia and Kentucky is coalfield and proud of it
talk your crap.coal is a need.drive you car, play on your phone and watch your TV.metallurgic coal made it all.along with the guns our troops use to defend our country. Digging Coal Strong!!!!
Wait til you all hear the recording of this song TaylorMade did with DMP records in Nashville! It's on their myspace and their website! Their ballod about a single mom "Quiet Kind of Crazy" (sneak peek it on youtube) will be released to nationwide radio within the next few weeks!!
Just so you know the vast majority of coal mined in Appalachia get shipped over to China for them to make steel. The coal that America uses from energy mainly comes from the powder river basin up in Wyoming and Montana. Wind a solar do require rare earth metals to mined that is correct, and most of that comes from Asia, but there is quite a large amount in the United States. Coal mines create jobs till the coal is gone (which will be sooner than you think) while wind and solar create permanent
Mine working is a way of life to people in Central and Southern WV, IT IS THE ECONOMY there. Just as major business is the economy in NY and DC and most major cities... No one says anything about the office buildings they build on land and what it destroys when it happens in a city. No one says its uncconscionable when they build a new high rise on an open piece of land , and not only destroys that piece of land and what inhabits it , but it destroys the SKY LINE... So protest that instead of
coal keeps the lights on my hubby family are from mingo county and they was all miners for years and a good friend of are made a big back sticker on his truck said we supper west Virginia coal
GOD BLESS WV COAL MINERS!
i love this song
Guess what, I've lived in WV all my life and I too have a long history of coal miners in my bloodline including my own father (who were all Union men and deep miners, not lazy heavy equipment operaters on strip sites) and I am against MTR. Guess what else, the human race evolved millions of years without electricity. I have a god given right to speak out against the crime of MTR as a human and a West Virginian. TRUE Appalachian people dont destory the mountains that gave them life
Southern Cabell county. Always wanted to be a coal miner.. But with the mines shuttin down. I'm gettin into machinest or electrician work instead.
Awesome song. Gritty and real...just like coal miners. (My dad is a retired miner.)

am not a coal miner but I support coal mining it keeps lights and keeps my job going
Thank you for getting it :)
+Paul Chambers yep it the way of life
Most of our power in this country is generated by other means than coal. Coal only generates a small fraction of it.
like this song love west Virginia
WV
don't call 911
I'm proud and honored to be a coal miner.
And you heard Hillary, she LITERALLY said she will do what it takes to end coal mining and it's way of life!! Are you kidding me??? Where do you expect all of these miners to go to work???? I hope Charleston NEVER lets her speak in this state EVER!
Miners should be respected for their continuing contribution to our economy and well being. I have miners in my family tree. What I object to is MOUNTAIN TOP REMOVAL. I believe the permanent removal and degradation of our Appalachian Mountains is not worth the short-term monetary gain.
This song tells it how it is.
Great song!
Love this group!
West Virginia. Football. blue. games. gold
💜
Its either minen coal or flippen burgers and i aint no burger man
this songs kicks ass im a wv coalminer and wouldnt have any other job
iam from west Virginia iam for the coal miners damn right my friends are coal miners hell yeah
We have 200+years of coal left. We will eventually have to make a transition to other energy production methods there isn't a reason not to invest in these technologies, however, the coal industry shouldn't be targeted by the epa and Obama prematurely. Coal is a proven energy source we should use it...
who the hell gives this a thumbs down?
I agree Rita without coal wed have know water supply or crops we would be in Hell. Am from WV and coal is one of the most important minerals needed for survival
West Virginia. Needs Donald. Trump. To keep coal mines alive. Amen
i agree 100% i had to move to. ohio to work. i'll move back when the jobs move back in. i miss home
They won't. He's a liar. And chuckle fucks like you put him in office.
agreed
@@dourabbawinner if he was a lair how come the nation's economy got better and unemployment rates were at record lows?? Plus the mines have hired back
@@geraldbennett3705 riding the wave of Obama's decisions. Also, check how much those jobs he brought paid. And of course mines reopened. Fucker loosened epa restrictions. Which hurts our planet. Trumps a fucking liar. Stop telling yourself he and the Republicans have your best interests in mind when then don't.
Coal mining is a traditional way of life in WV. Mountain Top Removal is not a traditional way of mining. It has more in common with detonating atomic bombs than mining. By conducting Mountain Top Removal you're exchanging all WV's future for one more week's paycheck.
I am a very proud sister of a underground coal miner!
Oh I have A comment . I was laid off from the only job I have ever had that I actually enjoyed . The coal mines in southwest Virginia are the safest place in the world . It's A dangerous job do not get me wrong . I only worked for A few years underground but the time I was underground I always felt safe . The only reason that I felt safe was the people . The best people I have ever met in my life . Hardest working , most intelligent , down to earth people you would ever meet . The mines that have been shut down in this area have devastated the economy . They just shut down A whole hospital In Lee county . The effects are on our jobs . Now there are a few large mines still open for NOW . But all of that coal goes to China , to support the steel industry that left the rust belt behind . I worked my butt off to get the best job of my life and then politicians threw it away for Fracking . I mean come on have you even looked into what kind of chemicals they are pumping into our ground water . These people do not care . They make their millions , billions and move to another country leaving us with out any jobs . Were drinking hydrochloric acid ...THEY....... Then say " Well it's good for the environment " ......are you freaking kidding me .
Please people reading this spend a few moments of your time and look into fracking
They say coal is bad ........it's not the environment they care about it's their buddies bank accounts that change the policies in this country . Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely .....................GodSpeed ......................
....................The Cracken ................................................................
this is the life and we will not stop so dont try to stop us coal miners
keep digging boys thanks for keeping the lights on
Hard Dedicated Workers
