TRANSNISTRIA - The country that DOES exist... A LOT! (2/2)

In this SECOND chapter I visit the city of BENDER, the second largest city in TRANSNISTRIA and the fourth in, for some, MOLDAVIA. There I will visit a fortress with a lot of history and some of its monuments and Soviet canteens. A city away from tourism and with the authenticity that we look for in any trip. Without a doubt, a MUST for lovers of 20th century wars and the history of the Soviet Union.
The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic declared its independence in 1991 with the end of the USSR, and refused to abandon "the Soviet dream" so, far from destroying the statues of its leaders and references, changing the names of the streets, modifying its idiosyncrasy in general, as did the countries that became independent after their dissolution, he decided not only to continue with his image, but to enhance it to create an eternal image of what was once the result of the Bolshevik struggle.
A curious country, with its own currency, its border, and a capital that surprises both for its people and for its Soviet buildings so representative of that time buried, but not forgotten, by the majority of countries that were part of it. Statues of Lenin, Stalin, Marx or Engels, among others, decorate the premises and streets of their cities as a silent cry of the desire to continue in a dream from which, unfortunately for many, they have already woken up.

Wow! Tremenda experiencia, que afortunado eres! Conocer toda esa gente y garitos😄. Y lo de subirse al tanque yo no lo haría por miedo a la policia😱. Una pregunta ¿como haces a la hora de pedir lo que vas a comer cuando entras a un restaurante? Considerando que nadie de alli hable inglés? Como es todo el proceso? Y en esos paises se acostumbra a dejar propina o como? Gracias por los consejos! Quiero viajar a moldavia en un futuro proximo🙏.

El tema del tanque, se lo pregunté a un militar que había allí cerca, le señalé el tanque, y le hice el gesto de caminar encima, diciendo "tank" 😆 además había visto fotos en internet de gente subida, pero pregunté por si acaso.
Y lo de la comida, como soy vegetariano, me llevo traducida la frase en el móvil y se la enseño, algo como "soy alérgico a carne y pescado, pero como huevos y leche", en ruso y en moldavo (rumano), así evito problemas! En el caso de Japón, me lo llevé con letras japonesas, y así en cada país! Ahora con internet es más fácil comunicarse, y a malas siempre puedes hacer señas y mímica jajaja eso lo hace más divertido.
En caso de Moldavia o Transnistria, o Europa en general, es opcional la propina y la verdad que pocas veces se deja. Eso ya depende del lugar y lo que gastes, pero por lo general nadie espera que la dejes, no es como en Estados Unidos.
