My wife is an ER nurse and I can assure you this is fairly accurate, she has seen and dealt with so many crazy things. But while she’s working weekend nights I spend my time with my son but once he goes to bed first thing I do is put on some Dark Somnium! Great narration sir!
I loved this story. As a Medical professional myself I definitely felt the character as a real person, the empathy for a patient, the desperation. The ending. amazing. Great story.
The gargling noises were top notch acting dude! It was a different story to the ones you have accostumed us, but is a welcome one. Thanks for the narration, as always.
I found you by accident about three days ago. I listen to " thier is a man in the middle of the street crying" and got hooked. I am fully invested in this channel in being my future creepypasta station when I listen to the whole left right game narration. I have been looking through your lists to see if I can find anything long enough for me to listen to so I can draw. You are absolutely amazing.
Lucky you, I wish I could find this channel again , because I have seen almost every video of his. But have fun it is amazing channel with great stories :)
It’s been a good year or so since I’ve found you and I honestly just can’t get enough of your story’s I can’t wait until there’s more for me to hear :)
The one where AI generated the story with the old guy dancing in a sailir hat on loop is probably my favorite story of Darks. Or the one where a babies parents are sleeping and hear their baby start cooing through the baby monitor then they start hearing like demonic noises, and the kid ends up possessed and sneaks into their room and stands over then while they sleep. Wish I could find that second story again, thats the best I can describe it as its been at least a year since I watched the video
Superb story. It's so rare to listen to stories by (presumably) amateur writers with both an excellent grasp of horror AND who have an excellent grasp of vocabulary, but that one ticked both boxes. Well done Michael Paige!
Know I've made this request before but still, I'd love to see you read over all the resident evil novels, and give them proper ambience and atmosphere and all that, as always though, great video, keep up the good work
my friend just recommended your channel to me around 2 hours ago and i can already easily say you're one of my favourite youtubers, keep up the amazing work man! i look forward to more content
As someone with OCD, my trichotillomania specifically, I completely understand the literal compulsion he was going through. You seem to read a lot of stories that I can relate to. You're not peeking inside of my head are you, Mr. Dark? 🤔
Aye. I got OCD, dermatillomania, and a bad case of eating ice, but like, I second this exactly. It's like you don't control your own body sometimes, even though, logically, you know you actively made those movements. It's a command of your body to obey. At least, that's how it is for me. This story feels so real when you can empathize on that level.
No other creepy narrators even come close to you. Your narration is the absolute best, esp all the sfx. It all just brings to the story to life. It's obvious how much time and work you spend on these. I try to listen to these to fall asleep, but I get so into them, that I can't fall asleep! Great job,as always!
What a well written story!! Fantastic! And as always, your unique ability to emote that slow, sure desperation of one that is surely losing touch with their sanity...well done. My brother. You own this type of story! Thank you. ..your little insomniac

@@kushir7398 Oh man😒, look honestly I feel like I shouldn't even be replying to this(mostly cause it probably won't seem sincere in your eyes either way) but I genuinely just like to show my appreciation to him. He was the first person's narrations I started listening to and he really has talent. Take it as you see it or whatever but there's literally nothing for me to gain from this, I was just happy about his stories being uploaded on Spotify again.
One of the main things that separate your videos from others is the excellent sound effects & music. No matter how good a narrators voice sounds, and no matter how good the story is, the sound effects & music can make the difference. Its the difference between a decent video and an AMAZING video! Your videos are in that amazing zone!
This is so great, I want more of this story so bad. This one and the stump will be a favorite of mine. All though I love them all stump as scared me badly

Bruh thank you so much for your channel and your stories, your videos are one of the few things in my life that I look forward to and always make my day. Even though there are other channels similar to this one and good in their own right IMO this one is heads and shoulders above all others. Keep up the great work!
I know a few people who have psychological disorders and would need help but always refuse when the topic of psychiatric clinics comes up. The 50s movie's helped a lot to make people afraid of them. The practices were questionable back then but a lot has changed. I stayed at 3 clinics for my depression, anxiety, social phobia and panic attacks and all those 3 times were so amazing I'd call them the best times I had in my life. Might not apply to all clinics out there but most are pretty damn good. You also tend to meet a lot of interesting people, especially when the clinic has a drug rehab ward. I still hold the memories of the hour long conversations with Andre the shaman dearly.
Had a couple of psych ward stays myself. There's more variation as to how "good" they are. They're just not like they were in the '50s or Victorian Era. Orderlies can definitely be toxic and get drunk on power, but obviously not all. It's an uphill battle still, but not as much now.
Oh man. Your narrations are always top tier but above all, i love the tone of your voice. Something about it always helps me sleep, and at this point its become a habbit for me to listen to one of your narrations every night.
A constant love hate relationship with these specific stories where I absolutely fall in love with the story. But, I know there won't be a "part 2" continuation. Because i'd love to hear it.
I'd love u to do lovecraft or lovecraftian stories. Case in point I'd previously listened to the fourth pyramid of giza from a different channel and thought it was average, however your version of it is probably in my top 3 tds natations
These stories I like most. There have been a few like this one where I had to listen twice just to understand it. It’s a beautiful thing when your mind opens up to something different.
This I'd such an interesting story. I love that terrifying tune you always do at the end of each narration, it always gives me a tiny jump of fear. It's so fitting
My mother was a psych nurse in the prison system and could talk about attempted harikiri via broken tile shards one moment and office gossip in the next breath. It takes something else to be one of those people.
I gotta say I am thoroughly impressed that the story was about a psych ward and featured an actual monster over some cheap 'open-to-interpretation' cop-out. I wish this story had a part 2!
Absolutely loved this!! 3 things tho:: 1, i don't blame the pesty annoying guy for resigning the very next day!lol🤣. 2, the old man's mysterious-ness is enough for a sequel. 3, what the hell was that creature at the end??
My mother lived with Pica had to always bring her a bowl of ice she's gone 5 years now her case wasn't as severe as this good story brought back good memories thank you
Hey there, I really enjoyed the narration. Thank you for including my story in your community!
