The ancient Chinese used to put crickets in little cricket boxes all around their house, especially the bedrooms. The boxes could be any shape with different designs cut out of them. They were really cool. I have a wooden one from my great-grandfather, and why he had it I have no idea. Crickets are awesome until you're eating black jelly beans at night with just the light from the tv and you reach, automatically, for the next jelly bean AND IT MOVES!!!!! Then they aren't so pleasant. That happened on the futon I was sleeping on 👀😂
The chirping of crickets makes us deliciously sleepy. Then, when the sun rises, the birds come in with their cheerful songs to remind us that It's time to start the day. Nature is so wise!!

This was my favorite sound to help me relax and go to sleep especially in the weekends after my visits to the local jail. So much stress and anxiety there, the slamming of metal doors, the screams of the mentally ill in solitary confinement… I was thinking how nice would be if they had the crickets sounds playing over the PA system? And then to my disappointment, ads started to pop up. It took me a while to get back to sleep!
This gives me the feeling of a colorful sunset, or a bright night with a clear sky and a full moon. Laying down in the tall grass off the side of an un-used road. Staring up at the sky and seeing all the stars, there’s no light so the Milky Way and all the constellations are completely visible. Only few being blocked out by the light of the moon. I get the feeling of laying there. Sad. Melancholy. Thinking about all the things I’ve done wrong in my life all the people I’ve hurt and the mistakes I’ve made, if only I could go back and apologize and change it all. Right? I guess not because mistakes are what make us human, but that thought doesn’t help me with the fact that I’ve made those mistakes. I just feel so bad, why do I feel so bad? I know I’m probably forgiven but I really can’t help but think that I’m not. I hear the sounds of crickets chirping lowly, and quietly. I hear the humming of cars driving down the road every once in a while, and I feel the warmth caress my cheeks as I lay there. Why can’t life be like this? Why? When will there ever be a time I can sit alone away from all the problems in my life. When will I be able to forgive myself for the harm I’ve brought others. The euphoria I’ve felt in their pain. When will I be able to sit down in the countryside off the side of some run down road in the middle of the night and forgive myself? When? I guess I’ll never know. I guess I’ll have to live with my mistakes until then. I’ve always been told it’s okay to cry, to let out all my pain and hurt, but is it? Does anyone care? Does anyone really actually care? I hope so but I think not. I hope this feeling ends soon.

Crickets have befriended me. After a really bad surgery that was excruciating requiring me to sleep upright for 3 months, lonely i was, a cricket would come in my room every night and sing to me. It started at the doorway, would stop and moving in a clockwise direction it sing at the corners and then finish the finale at the door again. I just want to say as someone who suffers with tinnitus, this has been the best thing ever for me in the last year. I can't go to bed without this video being on now, thanks so much.
The sounds of crickets are what I remember in the yard at my great aunt's house when I was growing up. This relaxes me, and takes me back to simpler times, falling asleep on the front porch swing, just minus the mosquitoes. Thank you Jason!
Helps me overcome the agony of not being able to sleep because of my tinnitus. Now my brain thinks it's listening to something soothing outside instead of something annoying inside. Thanks!
I have had 1hundred nights turning on this sound track. This is my go to when I am going through PTSD... I Thank my God, I have this to listen too so I can sleep through the night. Sweet dreams 101 sweet dreams.......Zzzzz
I'm currently working on my backyard, and I'm going to buy all weather Speaker's, and locate them down our fence ,on both sides, and put in a waterfall and pound in, to get rid of some noise! So far it's working like a charm!🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲😇🍪🥧

But winter is so pretty!! Very cold but enjoy it.. also if you go on a ice lake, you can hear some cool sounds!! I love winter, spring and fall..ofc I love summer too though
Man! I've waited AGES for something like this to be so precisely similar to the sounds I grew up with. I haven't heard crickets, frogs, katydids, etc since I moved to England in mid 2003. Thank you UA-cam Uploader! I'll sleep well tonite!
@@lonewolfwarrior69 its the little things that count huh? Well the frost shut em down for the year and now that i read your comment the eerie silence is driving me mad,

I love this video an your channel. I'm 19 an my mom recently passed away. I haven't been able to get to sleep without sleep paralysis or nightmares. You've helped me sleep thank you.
I was privileged to grow up in a place not unlike this,in the mountains of NC. Waterfalls, moonlit forest clearings ,the diamond flashes of lightening bugs and the crickets and frogs sing all night! This video is certainly a family favourite here in Kentucky, especially with the dang quarantine it's been a real delight to play this!

I’ve had severe insomnia for what feels like decades. I’ve tried other environmental videos trying to help with my insomnia but I’d always cut it off after a couple of hours because they didn’t help. This one puts me to sleep in minutes! What a relief! Thank you so much Jason!
I always imagine a place amidst the woods where a tree house lit up with hanging lanterns inside bright enough to see the foggy faces. A river water stream that has a current which simulates the water to move in its direction that gives a rhythmic sound to the ears. The twilight of the moon that reflects the shadows of long eucalyptus trees from far and bushes that hide thousands of crickets singing their heavenly songs. A bed inside the house made of wood and mattress that gets cold enough to sleep and heat up once u sleep. The rain that pours to wet the roof only for water to drip down on the leaves around and slowly sliding to join the river. A broken trunk and stems of trees floating in the water just to disturb the stream which gives a soothing effect to the water. Did i miss something? Finally, my hubby beside me for that warmth and passion of love yet to share. A warm quilt to cover and get lost in this serenity and sleep like u will never get up to this cruel worls. I wonder will this ever come true. Night is the most romantic time of all in a day. Specially the winter nights.
How am I the first comment on this beautiful description? And, permission to say that I hope you slept well tonight and that you’re little cabin in the woods is warm tonight :)
Oh, man... this is exactly how the nighttime of my childhood sounded. We lived in the heart of the woods in a little cabin. In the Summer, I would sleep in the living room with the porch door and windows open, with only screens between me and the night. This takes me right back there - it's been so long since I've heard these sounds. Thank you so much for this.
@PEACE DUCKSDon't you have a back yard with a little patch of grass in it? All you'd need is a small tent, some snacks, and nature will provide these sounds. Not trying to rub it in, but we have a little cabin in our woods that we camp out in once in awhile with my kids, and now grand kids. Found a free outhouse on Craigslist of all places. It now resides about 20' from the cabin. No electricity or running water. We use lanterns and take a couple gallon jugs of water with us when we go. It has a little wood stove in it that we heat and cook with. Before we built the cabin, we used a tent for the same amount of fun when I was a kid.
it's nice to know that in this moment from all over the world many strangers are listening to this beautiful music. someone Is crying, others smiling, someone Is studying or falling asleep, someone else is hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. even if i will never meet you i wish you a happy life. however you too are part of my happiness when in the evening or in the morning we will find ourselves here listening to the same beautiful music. I apologize for the grammatical errore.
My 5 year old son requests this video for bedtime almost every night ever since last summer. We had spent 9 days up at my aunts cabin, and we grew very fond of listening to the crickets at night.
I just slept for seven full hours with this on my headphones. Best night sleep I've had in weeks. I've always loved th sound of crickets in the evening and overnight. The childhood memories it brings back is soothing to this tortured soul. Thanks for posting this. 🙂
This is absolutely by far the best sleep aid sound/music I've ever listened to. My daughter and I are nervous people but when this plays we sleep all night! Our brains seem to be hardwired to relax to the sound of crickets. Thank you so much, whoever you are that posted/created this, it's a Godsend.
My summer vacations were me going to me grandma's house for a while. I slept in front of the stove on the floor, and funny enough it's how I grew a tolerance for and the ability to sleep on nearly any surface.
This one is especially restful and relaxing. It is perfect for sleep! I can smell the fresh air and water. Brings me back to the good feelings as a kid. And thanks for no ads!
For all who have stress, may the awakening bring you to heaven, a place of joy, happyness, and no bad thoughts, we all deserve a good life, even if so mean, think about others they lend you happiness with their hearts I wish you love and joy reader.

My dog, Piper, who is laying next to me right now, is slowly taking her last breaths of life, due to her pancreas shutting down😭 and after 11 beautiful, happy and fun years of being a blessed Mommy, all I wanna do is give HER that sense of safety and pure love, in these last dew hours, minutes or seconds. She absolutely loved just sitting outside at nightfall while it was quiet and peaceful like this video. So it is my full intention, to bring that sense of peace to her right now, by playing this video next to our ears, while we drift off to sleep together. However many hours, minutes or seconds I may be gifted your presence of life Piper, I so hope you truly know how much I adorned and absolutely loved your happy, chipper, sassy self, little girl.💞💛❤💞🐶 Please tell Jada and Airspeed how much I miss and LOVE THEM deeply. Absolutely awesome! My wife had trouble sleeping in our RV since we are off the grid and run on solar we don’t use the “fan” for noise. And because this plays for hours and between the soothing babbling brook sounds and the night crickets we absolutely LOVE this! Thank you! We listen to it every single night 👍🙏🏼
I was sitting at my pc, gaming, when suddenly heard the call of an owl far away. What a rare and beautiful experience! Instantly shut down my pc, turned off the lights, opened my window and jumped into my bed. Gripped my mobile for I needed to listen to that call of an owl again before falling asleep. What I now found is this gem! Thank you so much for turning my night experience into a magic one!!
This takes me back to when I was a child staying at my grandmother's small farm stead. I love the sound of crickets at night and this particular video is my Go To for peaceful night time sleeping!
The audio on this literally sounds like Florida at night lol. (I live in Florida). Great quality audio, I appreciate the lack of background white noise and the lack of random extra sounds.
I just discovered this ambient page tonight. My cat, who adores me, is the first cat ive had as a roommate that doesnt sleep with, on, or next to me. I put this on, turned out the lights and went to get all nice and cozy when who should jump up on me? He cuddled up on my chest and was watching the water rippling on the page. He was purring away as he drifted off to sleep. Still curled up on my chest, out like a light. Its been 20 minutes now so im sure im gonna zonk out soon, too. Thank you and good night.
Thank you so much for sharing this heartwarming story! It's delightful to hear that our ambient page could provide a soothing environment for both you and your cat. Wishing you and your cat many more serene and restful nights ahead. Sweet dreams and good night!

This sleep audio is perfect for lulling me to sleep each night. I've tried listening to others but this one is the best I've found so far. In summer, I can hear real crickets outside my window when it's open but on hot nights when the AC is on and the rest of the year, this is what I put on every night. Even my husband is now a convert! Love it. Thank you!

This is the only thing I’ve ever found that knocks me right out to sleep every night! I suffered from insomnia and I put this on and shake my feet fast laying on my belly and get all my adrenaline out- than I pray for people I hate and I fall asleep like a baby 😂
Wow, I thought something was wrong with because I too shake my legs frantically in bed at night trying to go to sleep. If I don't, they will jump around all night before I can even get close to sleep. I wonder why that is? Why do our legs seem to need to run a marathon before we can fall asleep? Most of the time I just give in and get out of bed. I seem to get more sleep when I am standing or sitting straight up. 🤯
@@patricialynnmoore I too go through this at bedtime... My wife thinks it's restless-leg-syndrome. It occurs more if I haven't exercised at all during the day.
Moved to Fla. and could not sleep because of the loud tree frogs in the creek outside our bedroom window. Learned to love the sound. Moved north and had absolute loud silence at night. I could hear the blood in my ears. Could not sleep. My clever husband recorded tree frogs so we could sleep! Thank you.
Grew up and lived in the mountains for 23 yesrs. Now I live and have lived in town for the past 10 years. This brings back some good memories. Thank for sharing, Jason.
I remember in the mid 90s when my grandparents took me camping into the mountains for a month and the whole time I was there I would listen to the crickets and other wildlife at night. Now I cannot do that much and I find that peace here in this vid. Thanks.
This sound brings me peace like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I suffer from bad night time anxiety & insomnia. For the past month I’ve been playing this every single night and I can not tell you how peacefully and deep I’ve slept.
Played this by my bed at night to help quiet my over active mind and sleep. That is until I started thinking about how playing this very authentic sounds of crickets will bring sleep........ And also spiders, mice and other critters to my bed!!! (who all eat crickets and rely on sound, sound vibrations of crickets and other insects for a meal!
Very very very good. Like my childhood... back when this natural world was still bigger, wilder, gentler & more dominant & powerful than we humans & our sad effects upon it. Bless you greatly, Jason. This puts us in deep refreshing, healing relaxation & in our deep heart energy :) Wonderful, gorgeous image too. Hello, my sweet parasympathetic nervous system, nice to feel you again 😊👍💖
I used to live in indiana, so id fall asleep to the crickets and train horns throughout the night. This brings back so many memories of the nights id spend when i was most at peace. now living in southern cali, the night skies dont ever get fully black nor do the crickets chirp. i miss it, i love visiting home.
I've had this playing for the past two nights. It's bringing me a sense of peace and calm throughout the night (sometimes I wake up and I hear this soundtrack as I'm flipping over and falling back asleep again). Thank you so much for making this available.

Thanks and wow, what a place to grow up in. You are one lucky human.

Im jealous ...I never had that experience, now that Im old, Im looking for a place like this.......
it's nice to know that in this moment from all over the world many strangers are listening to this beautiful music. someone Is crying, others smiling, someone Is studying or falling asleep, someone else is hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. even if i will never meet you i wish you a happy life. however you too are part of my happiness when in the evening or in the morning we will find ourselves here listening to the same beautiful music. I apologize for the grammatical errore.
