    I absolutely love all of of your armchair exercises, movements and the great outdoor exercises. I discovered you over Covid lockdown time. I'm from UK, living in Nottingham. You come across as a lovely wonder calm person. I use to do Yoga a lot, especially in Malaysia (my birth country). Doing your exercises has kept me supple and energised.Thank you Sherry Zak Morris.     SHERRY, this is my first time hearing and using your video. It was glorious, had been doing another chair exercise, hers together yours gets my body moving. I am saving this in favorites so I can use it daily. l am 73yrs young still play a slow game of tennis, ride my bike, mini trampoline, walk. Still, l did not know how many muscles l did not use until your video. THANKS!!!!!!

    My sister swears by her yoga class. I don't go out that often, but now that I can watch you online I'm so motivated by your videos and enjoying your classes for seniors that I'm moving around more frequently and loosing up my hip and knee joints. I'm aiming to build up my hip and thigh muscles to the point were I can't give myself a pedicure again. ;)

    Thanks Sherry, once again for sharing this information. I have taken a lot of online courses on your site and with each I learn so much more. At present I teach almost 5-6 hours a week Chair and Dance Yoga at various senior centers and YMCA (all Karma Yoga as a volunteer) and other Active Living Centers and Long Term Care.       Hi Aliya! So glad you learned something new about your posture. With scoliosis, work on lengthening your spine as often as you can. Do gentle side bends and gentle twists to get mobility in your spine while doing deep breaths. Do these every day for the rest of your life. Think of these stretches as daily vitamins for your body.     This is an amazing video! It explained SO much for me and helped me to understand what is going on with my left hip 'quadrant' that makes exercise walking so difficult and painful. The advice you have given me for recovering from my broken arm has been so helpful! For a couple of years I've been doing chair yoga. I am now working on your bone videos, and using standing videos. Yaaay. I wonder if you have any videos for weight loss? I would so appreciate that.

      Hi Nancy! I am SOOO happy that your broken arm is healing well. Movement is key to healing because it brings in life force and oxygen! Glad to hear that you are doing the Strong Bones videos. As for Weight Loss... ALL Yoga helps with weight loss because it works on balancing your nervous system. It is NOT about burning calories, it is about getting your metabolism in the right place. A yo-yo diet is the worst for one's metabolism, so don't go for quick weight loss approaches. Slow and steady is the only approach that works over the long term. Make Yoga a daily practice and I know you will see your weight change! Keep me posted! Love, Sherry

    Love your full circle story! I love my teacher now. For the first time that I actually took and continued with a yoga class was with my teacher Inez. I started with her two years ago when I turned 57. I was desperate and knew that I had to change. I am now in better shape than i was 5 years ago! I hope I can do something for my teacher who has also helped me with being mindful. I have been asked for more and more chair yoga from those who are friends who cannot bend or have problems with their knees... but I'm not a yoga teacher! There is a demand for what you teach. I am thinking that it might be a worth while thing to become a teacher for seniors as I am heading in that direction and I do care how people feel about themselves.

    Hi Sherry, I had found a nice video of yoga for older people. I watched it, thought great, I am in trouble. Then I started to watch it and it turned out they are selling their lessons. To me, that was heartbreaking. I know everyone needs to make a living, but it was a setup. OK. I am a 64 year old man who used to be a drummer for many famous bands all 70's and 80's. Drumming is incredible for cardio, studies show that long time drummers live years longer than most musicians due to the cardio that we aren't' thinking about at 19 years old. So that's good, but drumming is sitting, a lot, and the movements are very unnatural. After 40 odd years of doing this, I was hit by a drunk driver, and almost lost my left leg. Back was smashed. Huge surgery, years of relearning to walk, and everything in body out of line. Then as my muscles atrophied, I saw my stomach one day, look like I'm pregnant. Yikes what is that? So I find out that ten years of no exercise, now I have DIASTASIS RECTI. I had never heard of it. My wife didn't end up with it, so how would I know, it's only for women right? wrong. Thank the universe for youtube, found hundreds of videos teaching pretty much the same set of exercises over and over. Yes some are selling it but I cannot afford that, I"m living on small disability. So for three months I've been doing pelvic thrusts which is not really natural to men, women raise pelvis, men thrust. And we only work on dumb "six pack". With DR, you must do exercise that doesn't engage your six pack, need to work transverse abdominas, and I have a very weak pelvic floor, that's why my stomach distended. So I found help with that and realized if I don't get help, I'm going to have everything you just showed. I have horrible posture, knees have started to hurt, and I doubt I could hula hoop and cannot fold my legs and sit anymore. But I"m not ready to give up yet. I still feel young at heart. Just have a ton of work to do..so after I saw sales pitch, I saw the your video on the right side and took a chance. THANK YOU . DO NOT EVER THINK THAT MEN DON'T NEED THE EXACT LESSONS YOU ARE TEACHING WOMEN. I know how to lift weights and make my biceps bigger etc. But I'm not nearly ready for weight lifting. I need balance. I need strong knees. And I NEED A HEALED STRONG PELVIC FLOOR. So today and right now you are my HERO. Thank you, I am a 6'3 man who is in such awful shape that a 10 year old girl could beat me up. I used to be a muscular drummer who stretched all the time. I am going to do all the videos you have up. THANK YOU FROM DEEP IN MY HEART FOR PUTTING THEM UP NOT SELLING THEM. YOU ARE AN ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER. I am going to sleep and when I get up I will take my old yoga mat that hasn't been touched in 30 years, but it's in fine shape, and get a chair, and start doing everything you teach these lovely women. Thank you for your kindness and compassion. I'm an old rocker, I even have most of my hair and it;s still long, who played on lots of hit records. I don't want to be my grandfather. Not ready for 'old' yet. I eat very nutritionally sound. But now I must do gentle exercise yoga and realign my posture, regain balance and strength in my facia, my pelvic floor, my knees and neck and legs, arms, strengthen all muscles that support my stomach and back, I don't want to wear a diaper. I do keegles now with DR pelvic work. and everything you are teaching. Sorry for long post wanted you to know I have met two other men online who have DR and most men have no idea what it is. When I get better I will make a video of it and you are welcome to use it. The info is out there for women not for men. Plus men need everything you are teaching unless they have been blessed with astonishing genetics or they just stayed in good shape. But there are many thousands of men like me who for a variety of reasons find themselves nearly crippled by all the injuries you address, and so please know that men need gentle also. I am not a tough guy anymore. I would like do regain my physical mobility, and be able to have flexible joints and not always in pain. I believe you are an angel on my shoulder and will let you know ever few weeks how I progress. I will also show two friends of mine your site, and I'm sure they will love it and start what I will be doing later today. I'm subscribing, and glad I waded through so many videos to find such a caring teacher. Thank you so much Sherry. Good on you. Namaste..M.P.

      Hi Rockstar! I'm 63 and I bet I saw you a few times or more at all those concerts I went to in the 70s and 80s! Thanks for sharing your story with me. I looked up your condition and understand the issues. Never give up the hope that our bodies naturally want to heal. Think of a cut or bruise... they eventually heal. Granted some things will never be 100%... but there is ALWAYS room to move in the direction of positive change! And you are doing just that! It's starts with awareness and then action. And that action can just be doing some stretches every day... some standing balances... some knee strengthening holds ...and I hope you're doing some of my dances for cardio! I have some songs from the 60s and 70s... and a polka too! View this Gentle Yoga workout as time to play, have fun and feel good. The body is meant to move and twist and bend. Don't rush it...your body will tell you how far to go. Be patient and kind with yourself. And most importantly... please know that your spirt is incredibly strong. Not many people can be so honest and forthright in sharing like you did. You are a role model and I can't wait to stay in touch and see how you progress. I know you'll be feeling better every day.
      So... just a comment about giving out info free or charging for it. It's a tough one, so please don't judge those who do charge for their services and expertise. They need to make a living just like everyone else. After 25 years working in high tech, I left to pursue my yoga teaching passion. You can imagine the pay cut I took. But the rewards of this vocation are 100-fold. But I do have a mortgage, camera equipment and editing software expenses ... and tons of continuing education I invest in that are ongoing. And Btw, Yoga teachers don't make a lot of money. For many years, I gave all my work for free on UA-cam. Now, most of my new work is offered on my paid video library website - www.yogajp.tv ... but I continue to put new things on UA-cam as well. I understand the tight finances of retirees. And I hope people can see and understand the perspective of content creators like me. We too have our financial issues. If what we offer is valuable, then a like-kind exchange is appreciated.       @@SherryZM Sherry thank you for caring words. I do understand, it's a sticky wicket. When you are just able to keep a roof over your head, it's easy to think everything online should be "free domaine" but I do get it, I don't play for free except for charities. And if I can raise the funds I would buy you vids as I really like your approach to everything. Umm, no I cannot dance yet. I have to build up to it. That's how smashed up my body got and this is my first real attempt at regaining the physical strengthening and lengthening yoga and breathing and stretching will hopefully afford me..your encouragement is so appreciated. And I'm laughing, please, Michael, not rockstar..us drummers don't think like that, those are always singers and guitarists I promise (laughing very hard)...I don't know how to put a heart emoji like you did or I would . I will let you know and check in periodically, again, thanks for such gentle caring videos..Michael
