How Many Worms and Worm Bins Do I Need?

In this video I will show you how to detemine how many worms and worm bins you will need to produce x amount of worms per week. If you want to sell 10 lbs of worms a week or 100 lbs of worms per week.

got my worms yesterday, looked sickly after a week but 90 something % dived to the bottom and had a good drink and appear to have fattened up quite a bit after 24 hrs

Very very smart. I had no idea what I got myself into when I started a 50 bin operation. Ha ha, where I come from, expose yourself means to show your lack of knowledge. Come out from the shadows asks them to come into the light or out in the open. I think I am going to turn some of my towers into nursery towers so I can cut back a LOT 😆 🪱 ❤️

We use gin trash, mushroom compost, food scraps and our worm chow.

@@nk-dw2hm yes, make sure you have sources first. Just ask around there is a lot of food waste. However it van get expensive if you have to drive around.

I started in February of 2023. I bought approximately 30,000 mixed. I have not sold any castings or worms. I use the castings. I have donated castings to organic gardeners. I’m not sure of my current worm population is. I’d guess over 100,000 possibly more. Once I move my operation from my basement back to the garage in the spring I’ll sift and separate. I mark each container with the number of worms I add to each bin.
