Did you upgrade to a high output alternator? I’m about to do it but curious if I need a different belt since pulley is smaller. Thank you for the video
@bryanalchemy369 the price has gone up, but I got a 250a one from amzn.to/4cCX98S. I've heard Brand X Electrical is supposed to be good in general from other people.
I would not recommend amazon or ebay HO alternators. Most of the time their specs are extremely exaggerated, have very poor idle output, and cheap components. Stick to the name brands like DC power, Singer, Excessive Amperage, Ohio Gen, Mechman, AutoTech, CES, and Brand X. I have an Autotech 320 on my 2011 TC.
The wire I used and have linked in the video description is pure copper and not coated aluminum. I'm not sure if you'll see much difference going from CCA to OFC at 1/0 gauge, but OFC is a better conductor.
It will improve the electrical charging system. This is something you want if you have amps and subs that have a high electrical draw (headlights dim when the bass hits).
Great video like always bro!!!!
I am a bit unclear on one thing about the cable from Alternator to battery.....are you replacing it completely or also leaving the old one on?
You leave the old one in place.

@bryanalchemy369 yes, I did upgrade and it did not require any different sized pulley.
@@VampyreX13 awesome. What alternator did you install? I’m looking at a few right now. Thinking of going with 250a for my setup.

Is js alternators a good brand?
@@Eric-lu7gy I have heard good and bad from JS alternators. I will say they have a 1.6 out of 5 star rating on Yelp.
@@Eric-lu7gygo with brand X Patrick really knows what he's doing, I used a 600amp from him and it worked flawlessly
Why does that 2 Gauge looks as big as my supposed 1/0 Gauge. Currently have CCA wiring, wondering if you got OFC cable and if they're truly worth it?

Where did you get the intake cone filter shield?
I got it from amzn.to/3EempmD. It has a 2.75" outlet, so I had to custom print a 3" outlet to match my intake tube.
Sorry I was meaning the wall shield that is separating the cone from the engine bay heat.
That is part of the K&N intake that I did a review for at ua-cam.com/video/GrYmBWtKnS4/v-deo.html.

@@VampyreX13 what did you do with the original positive terminal on the battery? did you wrap tape around it or remove it?
@@JRcheesburger I left it in place.
Dang the alternator says it out of stock on Amazon and may never be back 😭
It was just in stock this morning. Message the seller and check if they will carry more.
