Really appreciate the video! I just finished the install and here's a few tips that weren't very clear, to me at least, in the video . 1. The bushings were not easy to push out for me. You need a pair of needle nose pliers and make sure you pull away from the all rubber side of the bushing. 2. This isn't the video hosts fault, but I blame the TRD instructions. For the U-Clip, pliers and a long screwdriver didn't do it for me. Instead, get a hammer and use the nail puller side to wedge u-clip out. 3. Make sure you install all the bolts correctly for the bracket extender. If you don't install them correctly and try to install it, you might have issues removing it like I did. Thanks again for making the video! It really helped and all my shifts are short and crisp now!.
hey man, thanks as always for all these vids. Does the short shifter cut down the distance so your elbow doesnt hit the center console? Or do you still have to raise your elbow above the console to clear it?
Hey Derrick. Thank you for the information. I ordered the same bushings with MWR shifters. The driver's side busting was easy to install. But the passenger side bushing wouldn't come out. Any tip? Mine is a 2015 Scion tc base
I had the same issue. Hopefully you were able to resolve it but if not, I used a pair of needle nosed pliers and pulled on the metal side of the bearing away from the all rubber side of the bearing as hard as I possibly could and eventually it popped out.
Great up close video on how to install these two mods...👍👍..... Did you get a chance to ck out the video of the 30 dollar Amazon weighted shift knob...? If so what did you think ...??
ua-cam.com/video/p5jIW653NqE/v-deo.html Looks good. I actually wish my Derlin wrapped one weighed a slight bit more, but I also enjoy having it not be hot in the summer or cold in the winter.
I had, but between what was currently released at the time, what was actually available to purchase, and my current budget, I went with Konig Tandem's instead. Konig wheels have always held up great for me in the past.

Derrick I’m just waiting on a video of you to actually do a run through of your Scion with Dyno specs and build sheet. That car is so sick man 💯
It's an older video before I installed the SNP Reflash tuned ECU, but I have a Dyno run posted at ua-cam.com/video/i79t2WtdAfc/v-deo.html.

@@letjs I've never had my elbow hit the center console, so I can't say. Can you raise the seat up more using the long lever on the left of the seat?

I somehow missed this question. I'm sure you got it resolved by now, but I don't have any tips aside from push hard and it should eventually pop out.

Awesome i ordered the MWR one for my 2016 scion IM
Also for that TRD bar
Does it also fit the scion im??
I don't know about the fitment for the iM.
Have you ever thought in putting light weight wheels ? Like flow form like konig or enkie ?
Thanks

Is MWR good quality/ worth buying?
I've dealt with them many times before in the past when I was building out my Corolla. I didn't have any issues with the quality of their parts.
Is it available for the first gen
No, the first gen replaces the actual shifter lever. This particular style short shifter is for the second gen only.
