It would be awesome to also hear Jack playing a Rhodes or Synth or something similar through Guitar Rig because I know you can get some amazing effects for keyboards with it as well as guitar!
Been on the Guitar Rig train since day one. But gotta admit, Neural DSP and Softube's Marshall emulations impressed me too. Back to Guitar Rig - it has great effects usable on any sound source.
There are so many great Apps for Iphone and Ipad out there. A laptop is great for home recording, but an I pad can be an incredibly portable and awesome sounding live rig. Not to mention the abundance of free plugins for pc and mac.
Good video, impressive bit of kit. I haven't tried GR6 bit have Amplitube 5 which is very similar. What interface were you using out of interest? Also, Liam is very confident on camera, future Andertons star perhaps! Some tasty playing from Ben too.
None of the players commented on it in the video, but I wonder what the latency is like compared to a dedicated hardware unit like a Helix or a Kemper?
Latency is basically a non-issue at this point. My PC is 9yrs old now and has zero problems with any software amp plugin--and I've tried almost every single one; Toneforge is the only one I haven't.
Guitar Rig 6 is an amazing piece of software. Unfortunately, although way within the recommended specifications, it seriously taxes the CPU. So much I'd have to assume it's been poorly optimised in some way.
@anomalousresult ahh that's good. Unfortunately for me, as I build the stack of effects, it just gets heavier. I have no problem running other comparable software. The amps seem to be the most demanding component. I tend to use amps from amplitube 5 and use the effects from guitar rig and it works pretty well.
It should work fine (like plugging a bass into a "guitar" effects pedal). If you're recording, record a clean track, then duplicate it, and apply Guitar Rig 6 as an effect to the 2nd track, and then you can blend the levels of the clean bass signal with the effected bass signal!
Awesome video! Do you think at some point you could do a video showing some control surfaces that could work with GR6? Like the Line 6 I/O thing…does that work with it?!
I would imagine any USB interface would work. I have Amplitube 5 which is a similar product, and I'm yet to find an interface that hasn't worked (used everything from the cheaper Focusrite and Audient interfaces up to Fractal and Universal Audio boxes). Will just be worth checking latency, but most USB interfaces are designed to deal with that.
@@chrisdavies9143 ah yeah! I was more thinking the actual parameter control aspect of things. Being able to tap delay, bring in overdrive and patch change etc!

Cool cool, I see. It’s a weird one right because one of the more desirable qualities that I understand people look for in Guitar equipment is gear that responds well to the full range of the “Volume” control on the guitar. I guess it’s impossible to nail the “right” input volume with the almost infinite headroom of 32bit float. Anyways, interesting point raised Ann, thanks 🙏
I think he's just noodling for our benefit to experiment with the guitar sounds. It also appears he's fascinated by the tones he's producing! So what do you think about this particular device. To me it's the best I've heard so far. I'm hesitant to check out the price...
"Guitar Hero 6". Hey, Maltese, YOU HAD ONE JOB! 😂
😂😂 The Greek Guitar Philosopher must have put me in that world, can’t believe it 😅 good spot!
😂😂😂😂🎸🦸♂️
XD
I love how Falcon can’t stop smiling while enjoying some nasty guitar sound 🤘
It’s funny because I was also smiling the all along 😆
Clearly couldn’t contain my excitement 😄

Wish y’all had more guys playing rnb/soulful sounding guitar for these demos
Oz's final rip would fit perfectly in a Muse song hehe
Not only the timbre itself but the spatial effects are considered, amazing stereo rendering

Love the Mild High Club shirt. Represent
Sounds good, I had the first and second versions this is a big improvement.

Wow, the core gameplay changed a lot after the last Guitar Hero game, man! 😂

This vid concept begs for a weekly TV show! Rolling characters WITH character. Fun! ...hinthint...
Great selection of different styles, sounded so cool 😎 absolutely mad! Just think how much this would all cost in hardware? Well done all you guys!

It pretty much responded with 0 latency. We all tried it and no one mentioned it, probably because we didn’t even consider it a problem.
@@TheChrisVella Thanks! Good to know.
I had to play with driver settings (buffer or sample or something) but latency is similar to a cab being 2m away.
If it’s not mentioned, it’s probably safe to say they didn’t have any issues with it.

I'm on a 4690k from 7 years or so ago and it's fine, haven't seen it go above 25% utilisation.

What a great vid! Hey OZ is the man! So my kind of guitar player. Does it work with bass players?

Didn't they have a worse guitar player to choose from?

Maybe like this works with amplitude ua-cam.com/video/MCfkftTp5xY/v-deo.html
@@chrisdavies9143 Get the free ToneX if you don't have it for Amplitube 5, it's great you can use the amps within Amp 5 or use it as a standalone.
Sooo, what is that blox box on the table.. and how does it connet to wot ?? Thanks
Sick if I could actually get it to make a sound?
Why isn't Guitar Rig demo'ed in the guitar channel?
Is it possible to use the with my Akai MPC one ?
nice delay and fx but the overdrive still sound like s...
Sweet!
can this be also loaded into Mainstage?
Yes it can!
Prince... Purple rain
Guitar Hero 6 Aye?
0:28 guitar hero 6 🤣
Yikes! My inner child just speaking out loud 😂
Am I crazy or did all sounds range between awful (all clean sounds with delay) to mediocre (crunch sound)…
awesome, I have but it never sounds that good, LOL
Maybe show how it reacts as the guitar level gets turned down. Does it react like a real Rig. ^
I've found models can clean up as the volume is turned down yes.
Input level was too low!
7:41😅 esse preset meio feio😅
Shouldnt this video be on the guitar channel?
Perhaps! Thanks for the question mate 🙏
It says synths keys and tech? It’s definitely tech
That is pro version.
The point, when u get paid for showing a product, but u never think about. saying guitar hero 6 instead of guitar rig 6 is a mess.....failed....
Your input levels are too low!!!!
Interesting, what makes you say that Ann? Thanks for stopping by none the less 🙏

That bearded Geezer is a tad sloppy on the guitar. It's weird coz sometimes he sounds okay then his timing and technique goes all to pot.
