Hermano este juego es un milagro de los dioses del arte del combate, he estado tan dentro del juego que no quería ver tus vídeos hasta tener todos los eikons, ahora los estoy disfrutando como un niño, que buenas tecnologías has descubierto, las posibilidades son absolutamente enormes y todas requieren de habilidad y velocidad.
No solo son los combos, de lo que podría hablar horas, de como cada habilidad eikonika genera nuevos caminos de combo con otras habilidades que ya tenías, además de eso es que cualquier combate tiene posibilidades de esquivas perfectas y parrys en mitad de cualquier situación, y permite crear combinaciones en situaciones de combate real.
Se que estas disfrutando esto tanto como yo hermano, sigue con el buen contenido y demos gracias a Ryota Suzuki por habernos regalado esta obra maestra del combate épico.

I wish we were able to swing Arm of Darkness by using circle instead of having this sheathe/unsheathe mechanics. It would be more fluid that way. Holding circle would be used to do zantetsuken. Also circle+x would be the lunge attack with AoD instead of square+x.
Gonna be using the combos at the end to familiarise myself with ur style of aod. Thanks professor GBG 🙏

I figured out what i wasnt getting, a lot of the times that he says burst timing, hes just referring to using magic, the only actual burst timings in the bnb after the lunge, and after the slash before pulling out AoD. I also noticed that some of the onscreen notations were missing where you stance switch which made the last one a little difficult to follow along with. Takung what i learned from the video and using my noggin a bit i was able to get the ground combo down pat.
Can you pin point the timing in the video where I was missing the inputs ?
Well seeing as all of the combos at the end are building off of each other, I suppose 6:54 would be the most relevant

the square-X: rift slip is the ONLY way out of it, cannot cancel with abilities even (but if you find a way please dear god tell me) BUT, it is useful against groups of small enemies similar to ignition. group em and have at it. granted situational but as it's a core skill of AoD rather than an ability like ignition, it has some nice uses especially combo'd into (like lifting an enemy into the air then chasing them with the lunge is pretty cool. and you can hold square to prep Zan during it too) just.... make sure there is not a large enemy or ranged fcker coming for your ass while using it. deals decent will damage as well, especially combined with Wykes and/or impulse (but those two skills are kinda cheat codes in terms of will damage)
the animation cancel with magic attacks are really useful and really makes brandishing of AoD feel more natural. and mad respect for that ground comb. relatively easy to pull off but still solid while being able to lead into abilities.

While playing on share play I found some tech u might find useful if u already kno that's dope but if u pop ff16 version of dt in the animation of abilities or normal attacks u can cancel anything. Much love gbg thank you for the guide brotha 💙

So you can't use magic burst while in AOD? You have to fiddle in and out of AOD to magic burst? I love this game but restrictions like this just suck. I wish there was more thought put into combos while AOD is enabled. I'd appreciate something like S,T,S,T or S+X,T or S,S,S,S,T combos while in AOD even if they didn't fill the Zantetsuken gauge as quickly as Gungnir, Heaven's Cloud or Dancing Steel
One thing that i figure out today is that you can parry enemies with you default weapon, do 1-2 attacks, switch to the Odin sword you can still follow up with the steel counter as long as the enemies are still being daze from the parry
Yeah you can and you can even use other eikon skills come back to Odin and perform the counter finisher which is sickkkk
@@GameBreakerGod yeah, it supper useful for filling up the Zan bar with out using your special Eikon abilities
In your opinion what are the best eikons to use for combos
The ones I’m using. Odin to be precise is the best of the best but he needs Garuda and Shiva to make him even more flashy and you can replace Garuda for phoenix if you prefer the shift than the grab
@GameBreakerGod ah alr. Hope we can use 4 eikons eventually, then combo's could be insane with the Phoenix shift
I feel like I would start using this exclusively despite drawbacks of limiting myself like that, simply due to how cool it looks.

Nice, similar of the burst juggle launch combo with phoenix. I like controller type C so burst and dodge (forward) are on L2 R2 respectively.

love the video. looking like dante out here which im sure someone will mod in once its on PC. question... any special rings being used or button layout? i find its hard charging magic in combos on default mapping.
yeah its nonsensical imo.
changing to format B makes infinitely more sense. You can independently charge attack or magic while still jumping and switching stances. dodge is actually on circle etc.
I have a scuff controller so I can charge magic and sword all together because of back attach buttons so I’d recommend you check which button layout suits you best so you don’t retire your fingers

I'd recommend type C. It's not too different from type A but you can charge magic with L1.
Great video. I finished my first play through and came here looking for Odin advice. for some reason my lunge (Sq + X) stopped working just a few minutes ago. Up to this point, I when I hit Sq + X and I had an enemy locked on I would lunge forward and slash about 4-5 times (just like you are doing in this video). I was playing with my build a bit and that is when (I think) it stopped working. I don't know what the heck I did but now my lunge only hits once. I have my controller plugged in so I know it is not a controller issue that I can think of. Any advice would be super appreciated.
Update: evening gang. I’m dumb. It stopped working because I reset my ability points which cleared out my basic lunge in the Ifrit powers! I learned it (based level) again and the Odin lunge is working again like a champ. Damn it 😂😂😂😂

Lol why is that funny? Doesn't it take away from being a skilled fighter? Why spend all this time learning combos if you can just square your way through the game. If you couldn't button mash your way through the game, skills like the one this video teaches would carry more weight.

shame the not all enemies can be juggled
We got combos against no juggle ones too
And it took forever to fully stack lv 5 zantetsuken for this combo lol.. + its not effective for fighting bosses..

I use scuff controller so i never had to worry about the charge of magic and all that whilst attacking. Hope that explains it
This is very impressive, but most of the enemies are too heavy do use this one and the ones, which are not, die too fast even make all this effort worth it. Can you show something, which is actual practical vs bosses and such?
Just because they can’t be juggled doesn’t mean you can use this against them you can enemy step bigger size enemies all the same you’ll see with upcoming tutorials ☺️

@@shezyam460 it actually wouldn't even be. The best way of charging zantetsuken is by using dancing steel with the charge rate accessory. You don't even use the normal attacks. Charging Zan wouldn't get any easier, you would only have a cool extra moveset
