    Earl Grant was an American musician who was born on January 20, 1931, in Idabel, Oklahoma, and passed away on June 10, 1970, in Lordsburg, New Mexico, at the age of 39. He was known for his skills as a pianist and organist, as well as his soulful voice.
    Grant began his musical career playing the piano in his father's church at a young age. He went on to perform in local clubs and eventually moved to California to pursue his music career. In the 1950s, he became a sought-after session musician and recorded with several well-known artists, including Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, and B.B. King.
    In the early 1960s, Grant signed a recording contract with Decca Records and released several albums that showcased his talent as a singer and musician. He had several hit songs throughout his career, including "The End", "Swingin' Gently", and "At the End (Of a Rainbow)".
    Grant was also known for his live performances and toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. He was a regular performer in Las Vegas and was a popular act on the nightclub circuit.
