To be fair, I think the devs intentionally had us keep talking to Ghost just so we can keep our morale on completing the mission

@@Barcovic I’m struggling on hardened, hell I struggle when you get hit when opening the door on regular, I ended up just running for it and miraculously survived after trying to push through for hours, the infinite enemies spawning from behind makes that part infuriating
@@maxvolume72 that last part with the armored fuckers was painful haha, I threw some molotovs and gas bombs and ran like a crazy bitch. Done.
took me 2 hours. the trick is to save up all the smoke bombs & C4, when you get to the door where ghost saves you, kill the first shadow on the right, and run into that building and plant c4 in both entrances and they will all run to you.
Who else felt safe when you reunite with ghost?😂

This mission is basically a solo horror game. I love it yet it was hard
Insane mission, so intense. The tunnels bit got me, then realised i could just swim underneath and knife them. The seem to just forget where you are
I glitched into a car when underwater so had to start the mission again and now I'm stuck on a this mission that I previously completed it's ridiculous
This is by far the hardest campaign ever. It's amazing and frustrating at the same time!

The bit that makes this mission and keeps you in the edge of your seat is the bromance that Soap and Ghost have. When the sh*t hits the fan they find a way to joke and make what you’ve just done worth it that bit more
4:52 I like this Shadow 3-1. He knows the 141 all to well and he does not want to execute them since he knows its wrong. Sadly his partner and his brothers that are under Philip Graves and Shepherd's command just dont seen to care

I FINALLY passed this mission after about 100 tries. Thank you for this walkthrough it really helped out
What difficulty are you playing
A little tip on the last part of this just before you hit the tunnels:
I was getting my ass handed to me because of how my checkpoint saved. Once you get under that truck, you trigger a checkpoint save. So don't dive under there if you're around a bunch of guys.
Secondly, if you're having a hard time make your way to the building behind and to the right of the truck (if you're under it and facing the front). It's the room the OP runs in to at the 34:00 mark in the video. Use bottles to distract enemies and make it there stealthily. Hopefully you at least have 2 mines and your shotgun. Craft what you need and then place mines just outside the door to this little room (make sure the blast doesn't hurt you) and then lure guards to come. As soon as you can, grab one of their shotguns instead of the double barrel (if you don't already have one), and just rinse and repeat until you thin the herd enough. I was able to kill all but 3 guards that were patrolling the water.
Eventually, you'll be able to grab all their ammo and make your way to the building where the red flares are. Go upstairs and craft the Molotov to trigger another checkpoint (I think?). Either way, no one will come up so just throw more bombs and/Molotovs from the balcony on the second floor to kill the remaining enemies. Throwing knives work well too if you have any.
This level was so time consuming and horrendous (I hate dying repeatedly, and I HATE stealth missions in FPS games like COD. Excluding sniper missions, of course) so I don't feel bad for taking the cowardly approach here. Hope this helps someone.
I crafted smoke bomb as many as possible and I just ran across that part in smoke.
Yeah i just booked it thru, throwing smoke bombs on my feet until i got to the water in the tunnel then swam away like a G

@@zachterry3605 If you have enough smoke there does seem like a plausible idea, but I bet a lot of people went thought the area not collecting stuff to make smoke bombs. Not everyone is going to do the same thing.
The feeling of relief when u finally link with Ghost lmao
When I finished this mission I was relieved with stress like my stress was gone
The best part of this mission was while hiding, you hear Shadow Company members talking about how they are afraid of TF-141 and “wouldn’t wanna test their skills against them, even if they are unarmed.”
The fact that went to ask Ghost about Captain Price, just to escape near death in the stairwell is the most Call of Duty thing in the world, and I love it.
You can say that soap trusted he thought he will too
To anyone who hasn't finished the mission:
When you're swimming at the tunnels, get around the cars and while swimming underwater takedown the heavy armored Shadows. You don't have to waste a single bullet. You don't risk dying AND it's usually faster. Teheh!

I managed to blunder through this on Hardened; got killed a lot and basically did it in segments. It's a pretty decent simulation of what it would be like to be completely vulnerable while dozens of mercs in armor hunt you down but I never really figured out the bad guys' patrol patterns or how to stealth through it. Plus, I was hopeless at the geography of the town; never knew WTF I was going, really. Had a hard time finding the knife; in fact I didn't. Ultimately is a little odd that the best way to get through a "stealth" mission is to get a shotgun and a pistol and then find a spot where you can pick them off as they come at you. It's a combination of that and running like mad while hoping for the best. I like the campaign and I even admire this mission -- I think -- but I will not play it (the mission) again, life's too short. Still, I feel a certain sense of accomplishment at getting through it.
I think we can all agree Soap missions are 10x harder than Gaz missions
I had so much anxiety mid way through I couldn't handle it, I just had to watch this so I could get it over with and finish this mission. I was so stressed out.
Understandable. This mission is by far one of the more tense missions in cod history. It’s by no means the top in that list but it’s certainly in my top 5.
This mission made me rage non stop and I was scared and then when I met with ghost I felt happy to know I was no longer alone
This mission is unnecessarily obnoxiously difficult
even on recruit this mission is quite literally the hardest thing I have ever experienced. No WAY am I gonna be able to complete this without going insane on hardened, Activision really needs to update the game and make this mission less hard.
This mission was “dark souls” for me, but I still enjoyed it.

This mission takes me back to the days when I was a 10 year old that's playing a games that I had no business playing -- still haven't completed it....
My game was glitched. Every time I opened the kitchen door at the beginning the NPCs charged right at me. I was not able to enter that room without getting killed

Same, there are loads of NPCs everywhere which charge at you. I think it’s glitched
You have to open it then go sneak up the npc in the garage and he will eventually walk away. So then you sneak into that laundy room stay in there until they’re done talking sneak out then go upstairs

I put it on recruit difficulty And still getting destroyed, they have warzone armor and your movement is abismal
@@julianmoore1910 facts. Recruit was still hard. Just the fact you start off with no weapons and have to find a knife first then a gun was minimal bullets and then a shotgun. Sneaking around and crafting, I feel like this mission gave us a hint about what that new multiplayer mode is going to be

I know Barkov's forces' war crimes in the mission "Embedded" might be similar to that.
But Shadow Company's way worse especially in committing war crimes.

Watched 3 walkthroughs of this mission. Each was a bit different, but what was the hurry? Every dark corner had some loot and half of them were missed. Made it thru my first time and it was only when Ghost said he had company, that I picked up the pace. I like survival games so maybe that gave me the edge.
Absolutely hate this mission, I’m not one to complain my ass off about cod but why do they do these dumbass lone wolf missions? I’ll never understand it.
The idea of this mission is awesome but the execution is just painful. I don't know wo if I've played a worse level in COD gameplay wise.

This level is kinda like The Last of Us Part 2 but you have to find some recourses to build your weapons.

Graves is cold daymn. The detail of the blood flowing down the streets to the sewerage is something that kinda stuck with me during the mission.

Completing this mission on realism was a massive pain in the ass.
Im stuck on the bit in the bar or coffee shop or whatever when you have to make your way towards the tunnels. Been trying for days and still not succeeded. Any advice on what to do?

This was a fun mission, kinda difficult in the beginning but I like playing stealth games so I got used to it quick! Finished this mission on Realism w/ out using a gun to get that achievement, took me about half an hour though 💀
This mission combined two of my most hated things about modern gaming, crafting and stealth missions in non stealth oriented games.
Probably doesnt help that my checkpoint saved right under the cargo truck where I was going to be detected on BOTH sides. Its been a while since a game had me this tilted lmao dropping the difficulty down to recruit helped a ton.

I cannot for the life of me beat this level, there are about 30 people and I just cant kill them all... Im not sure why but in your video you have WAY less enemies than me...
I got threw this breezy, best mission + easiest but the ways other people did it is so funny

This is was some kind of lunatic for Graves commander of Shadow Company.
I went to the first floor in the nearby apartment building , jumped from the first floor balcony , ran for the fountain like a mad man and jumped in the tunnel.
I just played this mission. And there’s lighting issues with it. There’s lightning dots that coming from the far lamps and wall lights and they come through the buildings. It messed me up, so much that I had to skip and go to the prison break mission. And even THAT had the same problems. Is anyone else having this problem as well???

i keep getting glitches where i get to the next checkpoint (or finish the mission) and then i can’t go to the next checkpoint or complete the level so i have to restart and it is getting so frustrating
Tbh this was my favorite mission in the whole game soap & ghost having quality time via comms
I enjoy this mission I played it on realistic difficulty and got the secret achievement where I went the entire mission with firing a gun

Then I played I restarted it and played through and played it again recently
And I like it. I like sneaking around in the dark and Macguvyering weapons to take the bag guys out. It's fun.
I hid in that small room on the very right before the building where you go up on the balcony and was able to pick them off one by one 😭

This is the best mission they done in a while the challenge was real and I felt glad when I down my first enemy and grab some kind of protection which his gun and another one later after I took the adrenaline😭 I felt safe when I got to ghost big brother was there to save me
I admit doing this mission on veteran was very diffecult. Even more with no guns, but here is something against those heavy armour enemies, molotovs. 1 molotov just burns those downs.
I completed mission on hardened and at the end I got the damn dev error 253 as I was trying to enter the truck to complete. I was so mad that I turned it off after I realized I need to restart mission. But it will be on recruit cause I’m not dealing with that again lol

This mission scared the crap out of me. The only way I could get through it was by telling myself that the bodies weren’t going to wake up as zombies, and the stupid little piñatas weren’t going to do some FNAF crap. Once I picked up the flashlight, interior areas got 1000x scarier.😂 There we’re multiple times that I was just waiting for a jump scare to happen. So glad it didn’t.

At the final scene after the vehicle reversed, where my character shouts to ghost “watch out!”, I keep dying at that scene and restarts this part. Am I missing something? Am I supposed to be controlling the character at this point or is this just a cutscene?
As soon as I got a knife I took out a shadow for a gun. After that you can pretty much gun em down and swap guns for ammo.
Whenever ghost snipes the soldier at the door I can’t pass through the door for 5 seconds and the enemies are already on me. Absolutely infuriating. Armored enemies are way too common. It makes it just stupid. Realism is brutal with these high alert enemies. I’m getting so mad I’m on attempt 38

When I go out of the door before trying to get to the church it doesn’t let me sprint or tactical sprint. It holsters my weapons and my character is walking so I can slide or anything… anyone else? Or any suggestions on why?
I think it’s because you didn’t pick up a stim maybe
I beat it in about an hour and it was so frustrating, I somewhat am enjoying all the people struggling here in the comments 😂
