  • On the heels of its successful A75 keyboard, DrunkDeer launched the G65, which is a 65% keyboard with adjustable mechanical switches. DrunkDeer’s small-form-factor, keyboard is slightly larger than a 60% keyboard layout and comes with arrow keys and a few extras. Check out my unboxing video along with a comparison to the DrunkDeer A75 and a keyboard sound test.

      @SICKOx early impressions are pretty positive and the only real concern is the typing expereicne is not as good as the A75. The other challenge is I can't get the DrunkDeer Antler Web App to work. That said, for $120, I really can't complain too much. I'll get a review up later next week.

      Did you go with the G65 or A75. For the price, DrunkDeer offers two very good adjustable, mechanical switch keyboards. Make sure you update everything after it arrives and you set-up your new gaming keyboard with the Antler webapp. Thanks for the comment and engagement! Much appreciated. 👍

    Ya I’m really considering this or the A75. I’m using full size and need a new one anyways, so I figured why not magnetic switch? It is the future after all. Although I’m leaning more towards G65 because I don’t ever use function keys either.

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  9 місяців тому +2

      @alexfisher3527 I've been using the G65 and the A75 back-to-back for the past couple weeks and both keyboards are great. That said, I'm finding I use the A75 more as I enjoy having the media dial and a couple extra keys. The A75 also has a better typing experience and gamers can use the DrunkDeer Antler Web App, that is superiour to the downloadable app. Lastly, it looks like you can order the DrunkDeer A75 with PBT keycaps, too. If I had to start over and buy it again, I'd defo get the PBT keycaps. Hope this helps.

      @@mynusten whaaat I didn’t know that. Thanks man! Ya I’ll probably do the A75 it seems like they put more emphasis on thonk sound of typing and have more foam in it too. I need shine through though so I’ll probably get custom PBT pudding caps. 🙂

    Heyo! So I was researching this keyboard and I discovered a new one called the VXE ATK68 and judging from some reviews, it seems to be very similar to the Drunkdeer g65 but with better sound and build quality. What do you think?

    Is there an option to enable rapid trigger for certain keys you want or it will only enable for all?

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  8 місяців тому

      For the G65 using the DrunkDeer Antler web app, I wasn't able to set the rapid trigger. With the A75 keyboard, it worked. I haven't been able to update the firmware either for the G65, and I suspect this is the issue.

    are these what they sound like stock? because i want a g65.Also is it okay to order it from amazon?

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  7 місяців тому +1

      @RealTeared indeed! These switches and keycaps are straight out of the box. Nothing special with either. As for the form factor, you really have to want a smaller sized keyboard.

    Does the software work on a Chromebook browser?

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  7 місяців тому

      @gzxc1v that is a very good question. I guess it all depends if the Google Store allows you to download the Elgato Control Center app onto a Chromebook. If so, its worth a try.

    Which keyboard is faster the g65 or the a75

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  Місяць тому

      Both have the adjustable "mechanical" switches, so it really comes down to what you feel more comfortable using, i.e. linear, tactile or clicky. I'm a sucker for heavy clicky blues. If I had to choose either the G65 or A75, I'd pick the A75 as I find it difficult to use a 65% layout. The A75 also has better keycaps and feel. Appreciate the comment and watching my conent. 👍

    Which is faster please?

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  6 місяців тому +1

      @Altamimi911, when you say faster, are you referring to the switches or the keyboard? If the later, which keyboards; the G65 or the A75? If the two Drunkdeer keyboards, both adjustable, mechanical switches in each keyboard are fast and "adjustable". If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the A75 as the G65 layout eliminates too many keys that I need for work and the A75 has a better typing experience.

      @mynusten  6 місяців тому +1

      @@Altamimi911 Got it. I would go with the Wooting 60HE. Wooting's implementation is overall better when you compare the build quality & web app for adjusting the switches. That said, I wasn't able to use the Wooting 60HE as it eliminated way too many keys that I need for work. Good luck on your decision! 👍

    a75 higher than g65? Am I wrong ?

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  2 місяці тому

      @mutlulugunturevivarmdr5319 when you mean higher, are your referring to price or the key caps? As for price, the G65 is a lower cost keyboard, but I don't recall if the G65 keycaps sat higher. One thing to note is the G65 doesn't have any flip out keyboard feet, so its angle is definitely lower. The A75 has flipout keyboard feet. Thanks for the question!
