Hello Donna in the night I saw your video. In can‘t sleep. so I watched this. It‘s a great video. I‘m loving evry kind of colours. colour books and pictures since I can hold a pen in my hands (I was ca. 3Years old). Now I‘m 58 years old.
Colouring is very relaxe for me. I can forget the zime and space around me., but watch your video, I can relaxe too.

I was so happy to learn that I am not the only one who will straight color an entire picture with glitter pens! I especially like them for mandalas. I don’t even buy the sets with the ‘plain’ pens anymore. The main thing I’m looking forward to this Christmas is 5 days off from work to spend coloring and hopefully working on getting my coloring space together. My desktop computer won’t boot up, spent 3 hours trouble shooting, unplugging this that or the other, etc., and dusting its guts with no progress. So off to the local computer shop with it on Monday. I love the darn thing even though I don’t use it a lot anymore or I’d just chuck it and save up for a new laptop or another desktop. Enjoyed your color and chat! Your picture looks great. Those aen pens seem to have a lot of glitter. Can’t remember which ‘brand’ of pens I bought last year that were almost watery and had very little glitter. Gave them to a co worker’s daughters.
The AEN's do have lots of glitter. I was very impressed with them. They are very close to the color it if you are familiar with those. Lordie... it sounds like it is raining and pouring at your place too lately. I hope you can relax and color your heart out during your 5 days off. You deserve it!
Donna ... talking about the rain... I think I need trade my little car for a 🚣 boat. Dark, dreary and miserably chilly for days on end. Not good for my mood. Geesh! Put the Aen pens in my ever expanding wishlist. 😝
The sun FINALLY came out here! Yippie! I would be sick too, right? But it sure is nice to see that big yellow disk.
I only highlight with mine for now, but I can see how they would run out of ink super fast. With that in mind, the last set I ordered, I ordered 2 sets at one time because NOW you have me wanting to actually full on color with them, Your such an inspiration for this sort of coloring!! I love this! I have a set myself but most other youtubers don't color the way I do.

I have noticed that I tend to collect Johanna Basford books oppose to color in them. I have all of the books and the artist edition for secret garden and maybe 5 pictures are colored out of all of them put together. That's bad. I am going to try to tackle a lot of them in 2019.
@@@ColorWithDonna My son asked me to color a specific picture in the book and I keep saying "I need to finish some WIPS first." then I start and finish new projects instead. I'm less intimidated by my Coloring Bliss or Jade Summer books. Plus, I can use markers in those and I'm a marker girl. *lol* I need to make coloring in my many JB's books a NY Resolution. It might be one I keep. lol
I love that you used glitter pens on this piece. I need to use my gel pens more often because they are fun. I am enjoying your channel and I’m glad that you decided to start one. Hope you and your husband feel better soon. Happy Holidays!

I am loving your channel, I want to colour that pic in gel pens too. My husband is also diabetic and he loves crocs, he says they are cool and yet still protect his feet. Keep it up xxx

Hi Donna. I just want to say absolutely awesome color choices. I'm working on this book and just can't stop. It is such a fun book. Also thank you for zooming in on your coloring...your work is beautiful. Take care and I hope you get better soon. Also best wishes to your husband. I highly look up to firefighters and what they do saving lives...kudos to him from me. Sincerely Kenny. P.S. Donna I can give you a tip...try it on a test page but I have some gel pens that don't color smooth too. Get a water brush and use very little water on the brush and it will smooth out the ink...I do it often.

I am so very proud of him. He was in the Marines for a short time after high school then became a fireman. It is such a tough job and I don't think people really realize. All public service and military is. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Gel pens are really nice to color with. I enjoy using them a lot. Colorimg large areas the pens empty pretty quickly so it's always good to keep an eye open for sales on good quality budget friendly pens. :)
Hi Donna! Beautiful pic, I love the colors! I'm so sorry for your husband's issues right now, I used to be such a healthy person, no meds until I hit 40 and I swear a switch flipped in my body and now one thing after another has gone wrong and I take a handful of meds every day. I'm not really in the Christmas spirit this year, I usually love Christmas movies, music, all of it. We don't even have our tree up this year. My favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night (especially Josh Groban's version), and tell your husband I understand - I can't stand Jim Carrey!! I love Charlie Brown Christmas and all of the Rankin and Bass movies. Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and your husband, and I hope he feels better soon :o)
Oh thank you. :) Sept girl? Is that your birth month? I was born on the 18th and my daughters birthday was the 22nd. He is having a hard go right now. Hoping and praying he gets relief, eventually. :) It has been hard to get into the spirit this year. I am just off myself. My health, mind it all seems off. Hopefully it will all turn around soon. :)

I have these glitter gel pens as well as the colorit gel set and glitter set. Have you tried Tanmits? I just love their glitter gel pens. I love using the glitter gels on my Angie Grace books. Feel better and have a great new year!
I have not tried Tanmit yet. I have heard good things about their products. I must try some of their things out. Especially the gel pens. Do you really like those?
I really like the Tanmit glitter gel pens. They are nice and smooth. I bought one set with refills, then their largest set.
I like your colouring picture
I always use Sandersons Throat Specific whenever I have a sore throat, hoarseness etc. It works wonders ☺️. It's been around for 150 years and is very popular with singers, theatre people etc. Even such as Placido Domingo have used it. Cost here in the UK is about £4, but no idea of the cost in the USA. Hope you soon feel better.
Thank you Annie. It doesnt look like it is available here in the US. At least everything I am seeing relate to the UK. You see, I do not know about the UK, but here in the US our government does a LOT to help the big pharmaceutical companies. It like they have congressmen in their back pockets. There are some very dangerous drugs here and they keep prescribing them with safer alternatives that are not allowed. Those companies are not in the business of making cures but instead making customers. It disheartens me so much. The nerve issues I have are because of prescribed medications. Yep... doctors gave the to me, pharmacists... no one ever questioned my cocktail or how much of it. Now, no one wants to really admit it was the medications.:( I see this on ebay. I may try a bit and see.

Yes. They all all glitter. Ot is the 100 set of glitter AEN arts. I have the link in the description. I have 2 other sets I need to get reviewed in the coming weeks. I am excited to try them out and see how they all compare.

We like most of the same Christmas movies, foods, songs & my husband is. Croc fan too. That's funny. I bought him the 2 pairs for $30 also. That was a great sale. I'm going to try those gel pens but I love Colorits. I got a set when I started coloring 2 years ago & I'm just now putting in the replacements that came with them. I just wish they had more colors in the glitters. I love gel glitter pen. I'll be praying your husband's back & other health issues improve. How is he able to be a fireman with those issues??
Nanci, the AEN's are very close in quality to the color its. I love my color it's also but the lack of colors was an issue. I caught these on sale for $9.99 and bought 3 sets. The process on amazon are always going up and down. That's so funny that we have so much in common. There arent a lot of people still wearing Crocs but Gary wears them all the time. He absolutely loves them. I hope he likes the ones I bought because there wasnt much left to pick from in a size 13. :) As for his job and his back, he is a captain now which helps some. He isnt doing as much physically anymore unless there is a bad fire. In the case, he sucks it up and drives on then pays for it for several days after. He has about 7 or 8 years left until he can retire. He has taken lots of classes at the fire academy for inspections and investigations. He hopes to transfer to that in the next year or two which will take him off the engine and in a truck 8 to 5 day shift unless he is on call and a fire happens. That's his best plan for now. Our county is fire and EMS together. So, everyone is cross trained other than they do have a few paramedic only but they have to have fire 1 which makes them able to do hose but not go inside. Gary is paramedic and firefighter. Its been a long career and he says it is a young man's gig. He is pretty worn out. Most fireman are after an entire career. Back issues, knees, other joints and cancer are big things in the fire service. We just pray he can hold out until retirement and then he will have to have surgery.
I have Colorits, but I've had the Aeons on my wishlist forever. :) I also have a set of Gelmushtas. They aren't quite as good as the Colorits, but they are decent.
I only use the glitter gel pens too. And I have hundreds of them with hundreds of refills. Lol.
The glitters just seem to work better. Every set I have had the neons & pastels seem scratchy to me. I wonder if there is an additional additive in the glitters metallics because I generally dont have issues with those either.
I think too there’s something added to the glitters and metallics as I think the pastels, neons, and regular gel pens are scratchy too.

what kind of books do you like to color in?
Hi Cathy. I color in all types of books. I have a lot of budget friendly books that I have obtained from dollar general, Ollie's and places like that. I also have books from independant artist that I adore and I am gravitating more towards those these days but they tend to cost more so I have to save up a but for those. I prefer single sided images because I love markers. :) If you go to my main channel page I have a 3 part video of my entire coloring book collection as of the time the video was made. I have added several since then but mostly the independant artist such as deborah muller, heather valentin, klara markova, etc. :)
Do the gel pens bleed through
In johannas books and other books with the thicker paper, no not at all. If the paper is thin tou could get some shadowing.

Yes mam. Gary's tummy gets so torn up with the splenda that's in sugar free stuff. As long as it isnt sweetened with splenda he doesnt have too many problems. With the diabetes they have him on metformin and that will keep you in the bathroom with your tummy in knots too.
