- Tonight I am demoing a case of the LF0003L 3 inch display shells. Overall I am really pleased with this assortment for the money I paid for them. I do apologize for not stating all of the affects before I shot them. I was by myself making this video and had my hands full. Please leave me a thumbs up and subscribe! What's the elevation on a 3" shell?
We used to shoot Legend when I worked for pyro engineering out of Long Island. Nice shells at a great price. I'd buy cases of 6" for 125 a case
They aren’t bad for the price. I’ve enjoyed them so far.

Haha yes! With some licensing and a piece of remote land it’s pretty easy to do.

When you get your license how did you figure out the laws from where you live? And what’s your provider
ATF type 54 license is required to purchase. Generally you can search your State's Fire Marshal website for the laws pertaining to your State. There may be local laws (city ect.) that apply as well. Local Fire Chief should be able to tell you. Those fireworks came from Wayne's world.
This is exactly why I want my 1.3 license. Lol

Pyro weight isn't all that much comp wise..you can probably Google it though. Storage wise depends on what kind of storage you have
The atf calculates it as half the weight of the case for shells 1/4 of the weight for cakes
Maybe its your camera but those don't seem like very hard hitting 3s. Some were better than the others. Happy belated bday!
It’s actually because I’m out in an wide open area. No woods or nearby buildings to echo off of. They actually hit pretty hard.

I have a question for you that I've been confused about I always get mixed answers.
If you get you at license can you purchase and shoot salutes legally then? Because the reason I ask is I found there's two licenses you need one is the $100 regular one and the other is the high explosives license which they deem salutes high explosives and you need that license as well.
I do know if you want to keep them you need a reinforced bunker unless you buy the salutes with the red tails some weird loophole to get out of a bunker purchase.

The ATF type 54 will allow you to shoot any fireworks labeled as 1.3 or 1.1G. That includes salutes. Some states require extra licenses but the feds only requires the type 54. And if you have all salutes then it’s classified as 1.1G and requires different storage. But if the case has one white peony then it can be 1.3G and be stored regularly.
A license to shoot does not mean you can run out and buy shells to put on a display in your backyard. Shipping and storing are separate issues. A display requires permits from local jurisdiction, insurance and licensed personnel. Laws change from state to state but nearly all require the above mentioned. Some states are far stricter than others. ATF possessor certificates, FBI background check as well as state licenses can be required. I shoot for a large company and travel the country so I see what goes into staying legal and insured. It gets more complicated every year.

Yes, the 3-4 inch shells are remarkabley low cost compared to consumer grade sadly

They aren’t available anywhere online. They have to be purchased from a distributor. And you must have a license to do so.

I did notice they were all correctly labeled too but honestly it doesn’t really bother me that much.
