Further, Paperpal didn't say their product was the best, but instead, that he was considering it as the best. Nuance is critical for reading comprehension.
This is more for classroom research papers. The day these tools can write at the level of a Journal paper is the day we won’t need the researchers writing papers.
AIs are good at synthesizing evidence and summarizing information. They're not so good at the creative problem solving that stems from human subjective experience. Until AI can think just like a human, researchers are safe.
