Outgunned and under-resourced, the new Iraqi security force is forced to operate in hopelessly inadequate conditions. We join them on patrol.
A group of soldiers crouch down beside their car. It's morning in Baghdad. Already 27 soldiers have been wounded in a three hour battle with the resistance. As attacks like this show, the insurrection in Iraq is far from over. The new police force is regarded by many as an American proxy. "America uses Iraqis to strike Iraqis," complains Moqtada al-Sadr's spokesman, Abdul Hadi Al-Daraji. The police are seen as an easy target and their stations come under daily attack. Many officers lack even uniforms and arm themselves with weapons confiscated from rebels. This lack of resources forces them to rely on the Americans for back-up. But working with the US endangers them further. As one Iraqi soldier explains: "Whenever foreign forces are present, our post gets attacked."

Should of never been there in the 1st place.our governments in the UK and US should of been held accountable for that illegal war.
There was no reason for any coalition troops to enter Iraq.

They aren't trained to be a police force or occupation force their trained for war and peer on peer battles not this whatever it was.

Why did Iraq not follow the same fate as Afghanistan?
Great question. One must first understand the region of both countries. Geography, culture, and people are very different. In Iraq, there's a more centralized culture and national pride. The opposite in Afghanistan. For example, there are different factions and tribes that govern themselves. No sense of national identity and literacy rates are extremely low.
Why have they put up a video from August 2004, one year after the coalition destroyed the iraqi army and police, there going to be abit rubbish arent they.
Fast forward to April 2008 and they've destroyed the mahdi army and al qauda in iraq, al sadrs run off crying to iran and is now trying to disarm his militia to become a politition.

I didnt think it could my dad who was a US army ranger says that an rpg cant penetrate an Abrahms or a bradely. He did say a stryker would be in trouble if it hit straight on the sides or the back ramp but a glancing blow or one to the slooped front wouldnt do much.
It's sad they consider that pickup truck a military, it wouldn't ever be considered a police vehicle in the U.S.
6 weeks. Marine basic training. little over one month, and then were off to war.

8 m1a1 tanks im no expert on american tanks but i know it takes alot of fucking firepower to take one of those out firpower that a rpg or artillery shell used for a ied do not have same with armoured vehicles
Basic Combat Training for the US army is only 9 weeks where are you getting 18 months from? lol I will say that the IA and IP are under equipped but undertrained nah not really.
well, what about blocking the air intake for the engine.

Training is continued, but its generaly accepted that the u.s. has the best main attack force.
The extra training that we get to go to iraq is for fighting in desert conditions. I think living in it for your whole life could help you.

I think Insurgents can only get their hands on the RPG-7 and I dont think that can penetrate an Abrahms... I dont think that can even penetrate a bradley or stryker.
