Guys, it's all in the Ollie. A rocket Ollie works best. Think back 5-0, and not back 50. Of you think back 50, then your brain is automatically telling your body to distribute the weight evenly. If you think back 5-0, then you're already shifting your weight towards the back tail before you even pop..!! The trick has more of a whip-it feeling as opposed to popping and turning. If you play it in slow mo, everyone does the rocket ollie as opposed to an actual Ollie. This trick killed me for months until I thought of it this way
Muito obrigado🇧🇷 thank you so much
Awsum explanation
But back 5-0 is more like heavy on heel side, wich lead me to stuck, been doing this trick for 3 years now but can’t get it consistently, i still dragging my heel tho😅
@@baaaks1006 think about doing a backside power slide at the same time, full 180
Was hoping you'd talk about the balance point while sliding. Damn
I've also done a backside tailslide on the same ledge that's in the video. But for an actual tutorial you should probably watch SKATE HACKS trick tips on back tails.
Words are odd. Mail part is the back foot. So it stays on the scube for tre flip not for varial heel
So basically roll up.. bs tail and pop out..sweet now I know
haha every youtube trick tip ever
@@furleysbrain I have to disagree. Most youtube trick tips at least point out where your feet should go, where the balance should be focused on and perhaps some steps to get you going. I wouldn't say what is essentially a bs 90 into a bs tail slide is 'the easiest' trick. But it's not really that difficult. At the same time the stuff Hoefler said are literally not helping anyone.
everybody always gets mad at trick tips but there's really no way to teach someone a trick by saying words. u literally have to go out and go at it and turn ur brain off and eventually u'll have it. just take ur time, take a break BEFORE u start getting mad, and try again later.
S S what do you mean turn your brain off ?
@@bootygangsta6709 He's probably talking about not allowing for fear, which most likely would prevent you committing. I'm somewhat sure Rodney Mullen argued something similar. Know the technical and physical aspects of the trick, train your feet to create the appropriate muscle memory, then 'forget the trick' and do the trick relying on automatic muscle memory alone. It sounds way easier than it is though.
Style!
Probably the best tutorial. Summary: kickflip setup, approach moderate speed, bs 180 to lock in. I reckon those are the most important tips
I think it was a bit pointless in terms of an actual tutorial actually. I'm sure people got the whole 'do a bs 180 into the ledge' part already. And the big thing he did not say, is how you need to really land with your weight on your tail. The balance point shifts to almost entirely above your back foot. And you should not lean back. Just the weight on the tail, or you'd fall backwards. Front foot has no pressure on the board really, except for not sliding off it. In terms of ollieing out of it, it's pretty important to allow for some board movement to get a 'pop' out of it. As for any slide on a ledge or rail; leaning too far backwards makes you shoot the board, leaning too far forwards makes you shoot the board. However initially you should lean into the direction you're going a little bit, otherwise you'll always shoot the board forwards from under you.
How do you call it when you do this trick but you’re jumping over the rail from the other side then la d your tail on the rail ??
Blunt slide
goofy
turn ur brain off and try it
yes! you should feel it, don't overthink it
Worst explanation and literally taught me nothing about backside tailslides. He just has them. Simple as that
