      @@hoobsgarage definitely can’t wait! Question for yah I’m considering either a 96 or a 11’ do they have similar issues? which TC would you recommend in your opinion. Both amazing

      @hoobsgarage  24 дні тому +1

      @Mrnormalsense both are tanks but I'd definitely go with the 11. They're very similar but also very different. The 96 obviously has all the age and plenty of time for gaskets and such to start leaking and wires and sensors to deteriorate. I do have a video on common problems with the 03 and up town cars.

    I have a 2003 Cartier. I never knew it has the auto self check. I will try that as soon as I get home today. I added freon but it will not get cold. Might have a leak somewhere.

    Good video thumbs up and subbed. My 2001 town car A/C panel stopped working today. I got in and turned on the key but one of my other keys on the keychain flipped up and kind of blocked me from fully turning the key, like it didnt make a full connection. After that I noticed my A/C control panel not working right. It comes on for a split second after starting the engine, then it goes off and I cant get it to turn on. Found one blown 20 amp fuse in the interior fuse box, and didnt find anything other fuses blown in the engine fuse box. Guess I might need a new A/C control panel?

      Hey thanks for the support and thanks for watching and commenting. As for your issue I kinda agree with what you did my first instinct would've been to check they fuses in case maybe that short burst blew something. Seems like the panel itself could really be the only thing it could be or something to do with the power that feeds it. Is nothing else acting up? Kinda weird it just took out that one thing

    Two years ago, I replaced my evaporator and accumulator / Orfis tubes, I then took it in for a pressure test to see if it would hold and it held like a champ so they then fully charged it. Today I go out to the car and have no ac and so I look under the hood and I noticed my sensor on the accumulator was very loose, do you think that caused my system to leak?

    • @josephmcnamee1132
      @josephmcnamee1132 2 місяці тому

      I get a 12/59 code too

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage  2 місяці тому

      @josephmcnamee1132 I guess it could it goes into something like a tire valve so maybe it was pushing it down just enough to leak? I doubt that was it but I guess anything is possible

    So then if the EATC spits out a code indicating a faulty component, that would keep it from turning the compressor on?
    Say for example, it gives you a code for a fault with the blend door actuator, would that fault keep it from turning on the compressor?

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage  2 місяці тому

      @momurderah there may be a code in there that could disable the compressor but I'm sure the actuators wouldn't be one of them. Thanks for watching and commenting hope you get it figured out be sure to stop back by and update us or ask any other questions

    Any advice on a 91 Town car I changed the compressor already the heater core inside the car my doors work inside the air valves have pressure freon holds up for like 3 months and then is gone need help ?

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage  Місяць тому +1

      @danieldubb2053 that would be a completely different machine from what my town car is so I don't have alot of advice. But it sounds like you have a freon leak if it's disappearing after a few months. Use some of that uv dye next time you top off the freon and see if you can see where it's leaking. Does the ac work after you refill the freon?

    • @danieldubb2053
      @danieldubb2053 Місяць тому +1

      @@hoobsgarage yes I've done this but still didn't find anything no dye anywhere only spot I see the dye is from where I apply it at where I connect to hose for Freon it will blow ice cold ❄️ air for like 3 months so idk

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage  Місяць тому +1

      @danieldubb2053 might be a very slow leak but it must be going somewhere. Sorry I'm out of ideas I hope you're able to figure it out.

    I have codes 1263 and 1264. But is this related to the AC compressor not working?

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage  4 місяці тому +1

      @johng6974 I not exactly sure if you're asking if my video is about the compressor or if you're asking if your codes are referring to compressor. To answer both my video is only covering issues that would stop your compressor from activating the codes you have are for a couple of the actuators in the dash. Hope this helped ya out thanks for watching and commenting!!!

    If I added freon to a 2001 town car compressor clutch turns on see nocodensation ever comes from drainage ac blows a little cold on60 coldest setting but not really cold any suggestions?

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage  3 місяці тому

      @user-xz9iv3xd7q that almost sounds like you just need more freon. I'd probably take it somewhere and let them drain it and change that orifice tube and recharge it. Thanks for watching and commenting hope you get it figured out

    My air compressor kicks on, so what else could it be?

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage  7 місяців тому

      Not sure but maybe you have enough freon that it operates but not enough for it to cool correctly. Or you could have an issue with one of the actuators in the dash not moving a blend door and letting the cold air come through. Thanks for watching and commenting and I hope you're able to get the issue figured out.
