I think watered down spackle would work better for the holes and would be cheaper.

Thank you so much! Did you use bigger paper for her longer, adult lekku?

Hey I had a couple questions, first if I were to do a make version with taller points, would you recommend using dowels at all for strength?

Hey, this looks like the best Ahsoka headpiece tutorial I've seen so far, great job :) My roommate and I are both wanting to make Ahsoka costumes and she was wondering how heavy it feels on your head? Would it hurt to wear after a day at a con? I think she intends to do one of Ahsoka's younger years, so smaller everything, but she is still concerned and wanted me to ask you. Again, great tutorial, thank you so much for uploading it :)

charmedforeternity Aww thanks! I am so sorry it took a while for me to get the time to respond to your comment! This headpiece does tend to hurt, I'll admit, after a day at a con. It weighs about 6 lbs so it isn't too bad once you put it on but after a few hours it does tend weigh you down. Personally I think it could be an easy fix if I make more room for my head on the inside, by taking some excess expanding foam out. This would relieve some of the pain and give more room for my head so it wouldn't be such a tight fit. If your roommate does her younger version then it would be made out of much less expanding foam so it wouldn't be as heavy!

Thanks for your reply! :) We actually ended up deciding to both use model magic and see how that works because it's so light, so fingers crossed I guess lol. If it doesn't work we'll definitely do what you suggested and use expanding foam then carve it out inside more. :) We decided to do a sort of vlog thing detailing the progress, and we'll make sure to link to your tutorial

charmedforeternity awesome I can't wait to see your final results! Feel free to contact me through Instagram or Facebook on my page (@shea_cosplays) and I'll be sure to respond a lot faster if you have any questions! 😉 Also I would highly suggest joining the Ahsoka Tano Cosplay Support Group on Facebook because it's a great resource to use that has fellow cosplayer's around the world that have done her and help others make her cosplay as well!

This is a great tutorial! I will be attempting to make this in the nearby future, I'm a bit nervous but I will post my end results afterwards!
My one question is how you got your lekkus so long, as the pattern you showed with the paper looked like a normal sized paper. Is the bottom of the lekku expanding foam? Any help with this question is more helpful than you know!

That’s a beautiful headpiece.... I have no skills and I don’t know if I’d be able to pull that off... do you know a place I can buy one?
