Looking at these. Question is it practical as not always have trees in perfect distances. With these straps whoopie things does it give you a large range of trees aren’t say 10-15 feet apart? What’s the range this system can work :)
I like the way those lay our flat. I have metal knees and a hammock always gets uncomfortable. I know you can lay at an angle to help but a flat set up like this seems much better. I think I'll buy one of those and give it a whirl.
There are some more out there similar to it called Bridge Hammocks which have been on the market for a long time. I'm more or less a traditionalist when it comes to hammocks. We’ll take a look at, we’re gonna look at....lol
WHAT??? Hammocks are supposed to be more comfortable than a sleeping pad in a tent... Tents are much more versatile for people who like sleeping pads. Although hammocks are extremely easy to find a place to put up, provided you have trees around. If you are on a mountain, it can be a PITA to find a good place to stake down a tent...
With this you get the best of both it can be set up as hammock or tent.
I have a sleeping pad that has made me avoid my hammock (klymit static V luxe) Amazing is the best work for it. And when it is cold put a mylar blankets under it with the reflective side up
