Something about your comment on motion blur, it can also depend on your flashes flash duration. The shorter the duration the more it will stop motion. Flip side is that ya need a flash with more power so it’s not only throwing more light but also during a shorter pop.
Matt, I’m so glad to hear you state you’re enjoying the lens NOW. “Shoulda, coulda, woulda…” are words that lead to disappointment and regret. Not worthwhile or constructive. 😊 I like that you got out of your comfort zone and shared so clearly both the qualities of the lens and your experience using it. Plus some reflection and thoughts on where you’d like to go with it! I hope we get to see your continued exploration of the lens. As for 90s sound being “old,” it’s all relative, man. 😂 Very enjoyable videos. 👍🏼
Re; shooting the skate photos. As the M11 doesn't have a tilt screen. I've found (especially with non Leica lenses with more extreme focal lengths) using the Visoflex 2 really helps with framing the shot.
Love it. Same lens with a M 262 since a few months and following a local skateboard group. So much fun, and we grow together as a team. Thank you for this video.
Cool video! I'd really like to see what else you can come up with composition- or otherwise 😎. The widest lens I have is a cheap 16mm on my Canon FF system, which is my fallback option if 28mm just isn't wide enough. Shot dancing in a dark club setting with it a little while ago: pretty cool. Composition with an even wider fisheye would be a different ballgame altogether, but interesting!
No matter the system TTArtisan never disappoints, might not be a summilux nor an APO but with them it's always a nice lens to try out and at low cost 👍
It’s actually not that bad for shooting skateboarding. I bought it when it first came out to use with my m240 and m4p. Pretty sharp even wide open. But yea, the aperture ring and it not being a coupled rangefinder lens is massively annoying
Whaaaat! Never had a fisheye until now?! Better late than never and I’m looking forward to seeing more skate photos. All I have right now gear wise is a Rokinon 12mm fisheye and a 50 1.8 for my d610, plus some flashes. Always fun taking the fisheye out and getting a nice skateboarding photo
Dude this is so cool to see. I use mine all the time for skating. I get so close that people get nervous for my safety. 😅 Bring your fisheye next time you’re in NYC and we can’t hit some spots!
Considering my Nikon doesnt command af lenses to focus, i simply use a manual fisheye lens to 'get it all'. The af lens is good to use the cameras auto functions though
Funny to see AJ in your pictures since I JUST finished a video about one brazilian band that I'm fan which their tour manager visited the House of Masks weeks ago and showed in this video haha

Mike Blabac and a mini ramp sesh back to back is everything I didn’t know I needed. ❤
Bed time here in the UK and a Matt Day video drops…Perfect timing 😊
Bed time + Day time !
Damn that Fakie big flip tail was SICK.
Glad you kept this lens, I’m gonna make you put it to use with me!
Enjoyable video. Very enjoyable
Those band photos are so classic. Love this series, dude.

You should check out tadashi filters. Its basically a clear protection shield for your front element. You will feel a lot more save getting closer.

I like what you’re doing, Matt. Always good to try new things and focus on the things we love. I use the Voitlander fisheye on my M6
Always glad to see another Matt day video. Your channel is always a good inspiration to get out and shoot! Thanks man
The bigger Leica flashes have high speed sync on M cameras. I use my SF58 that way with my M10. Works great!
Just was out with this lens on the m10r today! It's a fun little lens for sure, it adds so much possibility to the M. Great video!

Yeah, two skate related videos. I would like to see more in detail flash sync for skateboarding.
yeeeaaahhhh more skate stuff!!! Love this!
great video and photos
more fisheye!!!!
Would love to see more fisheye photos from you
Fisheye has had a comeback as of late. People are even doing look books now like HUF does.

Omg ive been looking for a fisheye for my M6!!! THANKS MATT!❤

Ngl that wide desk shot looked pretty cool actually!
Haha. It finally happened. I remember asking you a few years ago “where are the fisheye photos?!” Haha.
I just got my latest lens from KEH. The quality exceeded my expectations. Thanks for letting me know about KEH.
So glad to hear that!

The world can be a very small place! Haha
More live music/band shoots please?
Matt, are you still shooting analog,if not - why?
I vote fisheye for the full-time A-cam lens
Thrasher worthy :)!
Does *anyone* like a declicked aperture ring? Pretty sure everyone hates them 😂

The mouth noises. The mouth noises! 🥴
Love the videos but just had to bring this up. Sorry.
No you didn't.
