I'm trans. I'm understand her anger regarding stats that include transwomen in the women's category for crimes as the truth needs to be known. I also appreciate that she is ok with using preferred pronouns. I feel I could have a respectful conversation with her
It's hard to take any transphobic argument seriously when the person making it believes in what she calls being a "political lesbian"; meaning she believes being gay is a choice and healthier for women than heterosexuality. Nobody should listen to someone that confused about sexuality on any topic relating to gender/sex/uality. Unless, it is a case study.
I would not even stop scrolling to hear almost anybody on this topic, but Julie Bindel? Yyyes! SHE will bring great thought-provoking, eye-opening truth, while everyone else uses this sort of title to do nothing but put women down. Thank you, Ms. BINDEL!! Your words of wisdom always uplift women!
thankyou for your intelligent response...gobsmakingly awful reactionary hollow comments to Ms Bindels work here..we sure still do have a way to go in an ever increasingly bloody confused world ..yet it is uplifting to know there is wisdom from the likes of Bindel and others who keep up the hard work
I do really appreciate Julie and jave heard her speak on several videos. One thing as a man i think needs to be adressed and that is masculinity. Denying or suppressing the physicality and capacity for violencem of men is counter productive. male physicalitu needs to be acknowledged and positively directed. Calling out violence against women and violent porn is needed. Men learning to respect women and to channel physicality positively is critical to prevent make violence against women. I also agree that this nonsense of "women" raping woth their penis has to stop.
I think she is an ideologue with not much capabilities of logical thinking ( who probably things that logic was invented by the patriarchy to opress women) Best example on her take on the case with the lunatic that was murdering women. Yes if women are the target and the advice goes out that therefore women should at least not go out alone that is a logical reaction. Why would someone tell men the same is such a situation ? They are not at risk from the lunatic.
Oh boy! The man hate, delusional radical feminist mentality is gonna make another woman stupid and paranoid. The misery that she will endure being angry and have resentment for men. Look out fellas, another schizophrenic woman is on the horizon.
She also believes, in her own words, that being a lesbian is a healthier "choice" than heterosexuality. She calls this being a "political lesbian"; meaning she's not actually even gay, but forces herself to be.
These are the issues we should be talking about when it comes to feminism. Liberation and equality are still issues that aren't resolved. All other topics are coopting and distracting.
Men are and have not been free in this world either. Some have it very rough while women are having a party. The sexes must cooperate from a place of respect to survive and thrive. The mating crisis and huge demographic shadow poses a far more significant threat than vague concepts like liberation. Michelle Obama, a fighter for equality and liberation considers herself a to be victim. The terminology is apparently useless unless applied as a political power tool.
I agree violence is the enemy. Not men. Not women. As someone who was molested by his mother (as were my brothers ) I’d have to say lets end violence. Aggression can be overt or covert. Walk through any elementary school in the states and you’ll hear mainly women screaming at mainly boys. Thats violence. Abuse. And its very sadly common. I would say only a relative minority of pornography is sadistic much of it nowadays involves role-play, cosplay, and almost all of it, involves some aspect of incest. Sexual violence is most perpetrated vis-à-vis incest . Father daughter, mother, priest against parishioner. No one wants to talk about this it’s not being talked about in school because well schools are run by parents and government (which is also elected by parents). Again the sex trade is evil, but I know it’s not accounting for most of the rape and molestation of little boys little girls, men and women . Its incest. Not some cabal not some international devil worshiping pornography ring - it’s my mom, your dad, your uncle it’s your brother your doctor …
Many males do. But women do as well. The point is not to make it about gender at all- no shaming. And to focus on ending violent behavior. @@Bibirallie
I agree with you. Statistically one gender might most often do it against another gender BUT statistics and individual lives are separate things. Individual men like you exist and we need to all get together against the real enemy, predators, of whom there are many women who need to be addressed and not ignored. We will get more done if we just focus on preventing and prosecuting crimes and dealing with offenders regardless of who they are, instead of always arguing rarer crimes are irrelevant and only one gender is guilty.
@@mistressofstones The pattern of female abuse is different to male abuse. It's principally verbal and psychological, only becoming violent when psychological methods fail, and even then the violence will tend to be "accidental", like a little shive down the stairs, or a door accidentally slammed on your hand. Over time psychological abuse is easily as bad as physical. That's why the CIA use it. It's extremely common for women to behave this way in the family. It is not easy to detect, particularly since no one wants to report it, even if very badly injured. I don't know how to resolve that, but if it's ignored then these problems, including violence of men towards women, will never end.
Me and my younger brother were abused by my mother verbally and physically. It annoys me so much when I hear the "men do X more" excuse to deflect and give abusive women a free pass.
Modern day feminist view of equality: Not being sexually assaulted in the street, equal pay and opportunities, for femicide and DV to not be so common place and for p@rn to not be so violent and abusive. That's legit it mate.
@@Wander-bo4sj Justice for all is: Not being assaulted no matter what sex you are, on the streets and off, being fairly treated by an employer, getting paid equally for the job you are doing, the effort you put in to it and the hours used, and for p@rn to be illigal again for the sake of both sexes and for the sake of our children.
@@Uriel-Septim. men commit the vast majority of violent crime and almost all rapes. and the little violent crime that women commit is both far less catastrophic and far less depraved. men using porn are not victims that need to be “saved”. they’re the ones perpetuating abuse against women in porn and don’t care. and they’re the ones getting sexual pleasure from violence against women. and we’re not talking about a small group here either. this is most men. we are a group that is uniquely endangered by male violence (because we’re significantly weaker), is significantly less violent and depraved and is specifically targeted by men because of our sex. we have every right to centre ourselves. if you want to tackle male on male violence, you are more than welcome to do so. but that is not a female issue. feminism is a movement for female liberation. nothing more and nothing less.
@@lmr1049 "Cognitive dissonance: is the mental conflict that occurs when beliefs or assumptions are contradicted by new information, the unease or tension that the conflict arouses in people is relieved by one of several defensive maneuvers: they reject, explain away, or avoid the new information; persuade themselves that no conflict really exists; reconcile the differences; or resort to any other defensive means of preserving stability or order in their conceptions of the world and of themselves."
She said “Give me 70-80% female MPs and now we talking”…according to her 50% female MP representation just won’t cut it because men are “louder”? 🤨 Ma’am are you seeking equality or do you just want superiority masked under the banner of “equality”? 🤨🧐 I’ve never understood this about Feminism.
It all starts with the name - all about "equality", yet the very word emphasizes one *gender* to the total exclusion of the other... Edit: Oh, but also - TBF, I think you misrepresented the speaker - she was actually criticizing the “Give me 70-80% female MPs" thing, not condoning it.
As she pointed out the men will still push themselves forward and will still be the loudest voices in the room. An equal amount of middle class MP's in the house of commons means very little to the average poorly paid working class single mum who is still struggling in her day to day existence as is evidenced.
@@MillyMiller84 men don't 'push themselves forward', they take initiative and proactive engagement. It's not men's fault if wmn prefer to wait at the goal-line for the spoils of others' efforts. Has there ever been a conversation when a man can get a word in edgeways with wmn who babble endlessly. Yes, agree about the class distinction and the current wave of toxic feminism having negative consequences for lower socioeconomic wmn (especially homemakers) whilst favouring those who prioritise careers & middle-class lifestyles. However it's ludicrous to expect that a Greggs single mum would earn as much as a well paid career wmn, much less a professional couple.
banning sex selling industries like prostitution won't have as much impact as women themselves rejecting prostitution as a viable source of income or independence
This video is really sad. It's sad how Feminists view violence as fundamentally 'male' thing and believe that all women are systemically oppressed, and conflate sexual exploitation of women with freely chosen legal sex work. Having said all that, I do commend Bindel for her work on helping to end violence against women and girls. I just wish it wasn't with such an appalling and misandric view of male sexuality. I truly believe that many Feminists are terrified of male sexuality and don't give enough credit to female agency. Instead, they believe that women are all oppressed and unable to make our own decisions. The only people who have ever told women that we are oppressed are Feminists. Watching this makes me glad that I am not a Feminist.
Are you suggesting that if feminists did not 'tell' women that they are oppressed, women would not feel or be oppressed? There is a reality that underlies that contention, with loads of quantitative survey and client data from International (the UN's WHO), NGOs (Human Rights Watch) national (CDC in the US), county and local bodies recording inequitable treatment of women in terms of health, education, employment, law enforcement and judicial systems, legislative representation, banking and finance, media representation, corporate governance, ad infinitum. You also seriously need to look at the hard data on violence against women. Its incidence, its ubiquity, its organized nature, its malevolence is disturbing. You cannot begin to address violence against women if you don't honestly discuss its perpetrators, who are overwhelmingly male.
I’m not a feminist either, but I will never accept the buying and selling of humans for sexual gratification as normal or desirable. I would never want my own daughter to be in a situation whereby that were presented to her as a desirable job if she ever fell on hard times. If a person genuinely gets off on it, then go ballistic, but stop trying to foist the view that it’s “harmless” or even “desirable” on everyone else; there’s a reason that when you sign on at the job centre they don’t tell you to go and apply for jobs in the sex industry and I hope it stays that way.
@@SG-wx8zm interestingly I changed my views on sex work a while back and agree that it's not really good for society because in an ideal world nobody would feel the need to either visit a sex worker or become one. However, there are some women who do genuinely enjoy those jobs, and the better option would be to at least make sure their work environment was safe i.e. in a licenced brothel. There are also men who are unable to get sex elsewhere and so find going to a sex worker to be their only option. It's a very complex topic and seeing it as a black-and-white issue doesn't really help anyone.
@@therationalfemale one major thing men think about that woman don't is the invasion of other men from other places. Just because one society of men has doesn't mean the next.
less women feeling hypersexualised, suffering sexual harassment as police officers, teachers, social workers, cashiers on and on and on, less women feeling sex work is acceptable. I think we all know the method to getting there- educating women, dismantling male violence. I'm not surprised you don't know this, look up standpoint theory.
@@katiemiaana dismantling male violence certainly does sound ideal; what page of my masculine manual are these instructions? Apologies for being a little facile. I also agree that sexual harassment isn't good, that educating women improves nearly everything about our little planet, and that sex work isn't necessarily a great thing. All of these things, while absolutely desirable changes, are to differing extents achievable. I would like to know the proposed *method* of how we get there. Hearing good things demanded is great but what are the exact proposals? Thanks for the pointer towards standpoint theory. It looks like a predecessor to intersectional theories and the like. I'll definitely read up more on it though. I find the lenses that these theories use interesting at times but rarely useful in a prescriptive individual cases nor holistic in a full picture sense. I'm left wanting in other words. Thanks for your comment and I will endeavour to see your perspective better.
@@katiemiaana i dont understand how that would work.. women hypersexualise themselves so they can attract. Law of nature: hot people attract while average people get attracted to regardless of gender. It's a women's niche. Only some men attract with looks. Obviously this puts pretty women on pedestal and average women at rock bottom. I think this dynamics is linked to male and female biology. Why is sex work not acceptable.? Men do it too. I only agree with repeated sexual harrasment is bad in society. I also find it naive to wear attire that's sexualising one self and expecting not to be sexualized . Imagine a male leader of country also onlyfans content creator wanting not to be sexualized and be taken seriously.
@@katiemiaana if a woman likes sex work or does it bcuz it helps her make money or for whatever reason she does it as long as she's not forced or going it out of some mental disorder, isn't is against feminism to tell her that she shouldn't do what she feels like is good for her?
I agree with mostly all that Julie discusses. There have been historically recorded cases of female women, mothers, that have abused their child/children with objects, in bodily places that are classed as s3xual abuse. I'm merely raising this as anomalies, but they still exist, and doesn't detract from the points of males as the majority of abusers out of the biological sexes. I will get Julie's book, it's now a must read.
She pretends women are not committing sex crimes!! She actually said only men can commit sex crimes!!! This is so offensive!! Ask any male who suffered sexual abuse and assault by an older woman in their teens or early in some cases this is horrible
For me, she didn't think through for most point's she makes. Porn actresses are not in industry bcs of the sex, they are there for quick and large amount of money. They mostly come from troubled and poor background and this is what they find as way out. So, if you want more sane and less troubled society we need to go back to the start and that is parenthood. Second, we live in the system that encourages any kind of activity if you are making/getting money for it. How to stop someone to get brutalized for money, is to have society not so dependable on money (which would dissolve most of parenthood issues). Final point is that if you focus only on 50% of this binary issue's, what one part want's, need's are, then you will not get satisfying answer.
My problem is here the assumption that women are by definition never engaging in violent acts themselves. From psychological terror to support of male violence, women play their role, not as victims, but often also as manifesting these conditions and circumstances proactively. I'm all in favor of equality and non-violence. But it seems nonsensical to assume that generalized affiliation creates good or bad, victim or perpetrator, Isn't it context-sensitive, situational, biographical, and therefore always a complex issue rather than a simplistic one?
@@MillyMiller84 so you are saying that everything that is bad, turns out to be evil, or criminal, must be because of male gender? I think that sounds like ideology, not like a reasonable statement. 50 % of the world is female. And apparently, they are all Angels. Then I would really like to know who is actually buying all the clothes made in Bangladesh? Or all those SUV's? Or who like blood diamonds? Or fur? Or hairspray? Etc. Etc.
I agree with her that violent porn is a problem. As for the rest, she makes the usual feminist mistakes of blaming everything on the patriarchy and misunderstanding the nature of violence. domestic violence in particular is a generational plague to which both sexes contribute in many ways. There is a lack of empathy, soft skills and respect on both sides coupled with unrealistic expectations. Feminists are as bad as misogynists at painting the opposite sex as the problem "if only they would..." Insert whatever. While denying their personal responsibilities. And no, 70% or more women in parliment is not the solution because their lack is not the problem.
Also, she is objectively wrong about the abuse and violence committed by women against children and other women. While yes there is issues with trans identified people infiltrating women's prisons. Their is no way that all of that reporting is due to trans women. It just isn't the case
it does seem that she seems to think women do not commit violence or murder children. We had some horrendous examples of that in the UK a few years ago. As well as Lucy Letby who killed 7 babies. Often it is the stong against the weak. Men are normally stronger than women, women are stronger than children.
You want to solve male violence? Deal with the root of the issues rather than trying to alleviate symptoms. What are the root cause of these issues? Lack of guidance, lack of intimacy, lack of positive relationships. As long as your societies perpetuate the villification and repression of male sexuality, you will continue to see insane people resorting to extremes for personal gain. That doesnt mean that I think we should be rewarding SA or that men pointblank deserve a woman, just that a lot of the issues stem from aforementioned issues, so dont try and twist my words and think Im enabling, supporting or defending SA or incels. Good luck getting anyone to care about the repression of male sexuality. Joke all you want and call me anything that makes you feel better about yourself.
Only already the term male violence is such an obvious compartmentalization which is super problematic. It implies exclusivity and is a vast generalisation: all men have this issue since they are male. Why not stick with 'violence' being 'violence' and a violent human is a violent human regardless of sex. Then if you want do address the issue of violence, why not look at the root cause of a person becoming violent. Most of the time it's the upbringing. Human babies by default need to be loved and nurtured. Not receiving that love it needs will hurt the child and progresses into unloving behaviour and the capacity to objectify other people (subjects). I find feminism to be a compartmentalization or narrowing in of the broader issue that individual, emotional wounding (you maybe want to call it traumatization) is what is hurting societies and if you want to get rid of that, shaming and blaming whole groups isn't necessarily going to lead to more loving behaviour.
You have to acknowledge the very simple problem - many men are violent towards women and only very rarely the other way around. You have to accept that I'm afraid - no hiding from it. Why should we ignore such a blatant and obvious truth?
Prostitution is based on this basic biologically based truth: the desire for, and the risks of, partnered sexual activity are not 100% equal either between the sexes or for individuals within the sexes. On a biological level, females take an enormous risk -- pregnancy -- that males do not. In addition, males on average have slightly greater desire for a sex partner than females. Thus, men who pay women are compensation for both his greater desire and her greater risk. If both parties are of the same sex, prostitution can still occur as the desire can be slightly more on one person's part than another and there can also be risk differences.
she makes such horrible and scary broad statements, as everything she says is the obvious the truth. Her hatred for men is quite strong. There is no way the amount of anger she has is healthy. Entitlement and hate is such a bad combo...I will make sure i raise my daughter to be anything but like her
“Her hatred for men” She hates male-typical behaviour that negatively affects women. She doesn’t randomly hate you because you have a penis. If you don’t engage in misogynistic behaviour, her complaints don’t apply to you. Like bro, she gave specific reasons for her complaints in this video. Listen next time.
This woman talks about women as if they have no agency or as if more women are targeted for violence or women do not behave violently this woman is insane
I admire Julie bindel. But its undoubtedly a problem that was maybe not caused but certainly propped up by radical feminist thought. Her perception that we live under the patriachy is ideological and something parroted now by activists on the left. Ideas that gender is performative is somewhat true l, but ignores differences between men and women which is vital in conversations around stats when it comes to understanding what could actually be the cause of the pay disparities or understanding male behaviour and that maybe its not bad in and of itself and can't be trained out of people but its now used by trans rights activist to justify transition, entering into spaces etc. I admire her for actually focusing on womens issues and helping women because there are some things as women that effect us more then men and there was times where women were discriminated against for being women which she has helped but I wish she would accept that feminist thought including her ideological perspective has caused some of this.
She is so one sided - she never seems to see that a lot of women are not afraid to go out and that they don’t see themselves as victims. She also doesn’t see the problems men face. A lot of the world is sexist - but it comes from women as much as men. Sexism in society can adversely affect men and women can be violent- look at child abuse . Men are also more likely to attack other men especially outside the home . Women can also rape - look at women who have had sex with underage boys
Oh for goodness sake - of course, men can be victims of sexual violence, and sometimes women are abusive to men, the vast majority of sexual predators are MALE and the vast majority of victims are FEMALE. While the minority are, of course, important and relevant, why shouldn't she choose to focus on the majority? And women mat not be 'afraid to go out' or 'feel like victims', as you say, but that doesn't change the fact that they are far more likely to be victimised than men when they do go out! Male violence and sexual violence is a far bigger problem than female violence, and women are bearing the brunt of it, while being less able to defend themselves against men then other men. You're simply deluded if you think that men and women are equal in this regard. Bindel's simply prioritising the majority that she happens to be part of. She's done a damn sight more than most people for survivors of male violence.
A) if you're not afraid to go out then that's great! But the vast majority of us are fucking terrified and wouldn't dream of leaving the house without a fully charged phone, a rape app and a self defence item after a certain time so she isn't really wrong there. B) most problems men face is because of the patriarchy. A system run and designed be men. Sure its sexist, but for the most part, it sure as hell ain't women enforcing it, its primarily men. C) definitely agree, though fathers are usually much more likely to be physical abusers or desert the relationship which has devastating effects, though women are also to blame for a lot of that. D) fully agree its absurd that she assumed only someone with a lenjs can rape that's just plain wrong.
@@Wander-bo4sj A) Have to strongly disagree with you on some points. I don't know where you live, but I don't know a single woman who has a rape alarm on her phone, let alone a self defence item. B) The term 'patriarchy' is pretty nonsensical - in fact, the clumsy class based Marxist theory that drives a lot of radical feminist thought is entirely reductive. Men are not a coherent, unified monoculture 'class' any more than women, dogs, or the inhabitants of Kensington are. We are all individuals with our unique experiences. "Men" have no more in common with Boris Johnson or Jimmy Saville than "Women" have in common with Liz Truss or Moira Hindley. C) Women often play a major role in the upbringing of children and indeed are often just as responsible for conditioning men with violence and 'toxic masculinity'. Narcissistic personality disorder is just as common in women as it is in men. The historian Margaret MacMillan has written and talked at length about the historical role that women have played over thousands of years in demanding war and death, and often shaming men into it. Calling this 'patriarchy' is chauvinistic ideology. It's not as simplistic as that. D) Just a separate point here. I suspect that so much of the failure of radical feminists like Julie Bindell, Sheila Jeffreys, Linda Bellos et al is that they often appeared to be primarily concerned with creating a new hierarchy with themselves at the top of it. When they weren't telling heterosexual women whom they could and couldn't sleep with, they were engaged in the truly poisonous, bullying culture of 1980s radical feminism. Linda Bellos was accused of creating a 'points system of oppression' at her time working at Spare Rib. Other women who were involved in the movement, such as Lisa Power and Al Garthwaite have spoken out about how the brand of identity politics was highly oppressive. Al Garthwaite said it was used as a "means for some to shut others up and gain power." Others described it as like a "fundamentalist cult". E) The most tragic failure by far of the radical feminists was embodied by Linda Bellos. She was leader of Lambeth council in the 80s when the industrial scale sexual abuse of children was taking place on Lambeth council property. The official enquiry was absolutely scathing, and said that the council was dominated by people who were more concerned with pursuing their radical politics than protecting the children they were responsible for.
@@Wander-bo4sj 1) More children are physically abused by their mothers than by their fathers 2) While I’ve never been afraid to walk alone at night even back when I was generally being read as a woman, I’m sorry that you live with that kind of fear but how do you think it feels to be walking along the sidewalk minding your own business & notice that women now tend to cross the street to get away from you just because they’re now reading you as male? Not in anyway saying that is as bad as actually being the victim of violence but I am trying to point out that many of the societal double standards that aren’t so great for women are also not so great for men.
10:22: “It’s not inclusive if you’re excluding half of the planet.” Can she possibly be arguing in good faith here? How does the phrase “people who can get pregnant” exclude women?!
It removes the word woman and is a dismissal of the fact that woman have a capability that men do not have. Hence denies us full recognition of what are important issues for our sex. Ban abortion for ‘people’ - who would lose from this? Name us and we are called to speak. Reduce us to just people and we lose our political class as women upon which we rely on to group together and advocate for ourselves.
Because it denies reality that everyone who can get pregnant is a women which is a fact and that sex is important in being a women and something we can't change and that most of the rest of the world can't escape their womenhood because they call themselves a man. It also reduces women to their biological function. Trans men are women, non binary people who can get pregnant are women. So the nhs writing rubbish such as pregnant people is at best an insult. At the very least a compromise ought to be met such as expatant mothers and other expanding parents etc.
@@rensha8635 None of that addresses my question. How is "half the planet" excluded by the phrase "people who can get pregnant"? At most, some women who can't get pregnant are excluded, but since the phrase was only ever intended to be used in the context of reproductive health this seems a moot point. If someone were forbidding the use of the term "women" in any context, or even suggesting that its use was offensive in any context, I'd agree with you. But since no-one is, well, I don't.
Every feminist I see talking about porn, talks about this horrible rape porn, or torture porn - and I just have no idea where they're getting this stuff from. Like, if you type that into pornhub, you'll get a warning to not search for illegal content. A warning. So I just don't know what websites they're going to, but maybe someone should investigate some of these people, because they're clearly looking at some pretty horrible stuff (they should consider looking at some solo stuff instead).
it gets even further. hurting and getting hurt by your sexual partner is a kink and both sides are filled with both sexes. there's even a full on category for women dominate sex/porn called femdom
And these is why the concept of trans women are women is very problematic. Now we have males in female prisons, and majority of these males have committed SA before.
Uh… wait there’s a massive mistake here that no one is pointing out, it’s entirely possible for a woman to rape someone, and rape is not a male only crime
@@laurenjones2909 my point was the fact that it’s not something that’s limited to only men and it is a crime that multiple woman have committed as well
@@Adv18 no that’s not true. Posie Parker merely recognises fathers as being very important in children’s lives and has expressed this in her videos at times. Of course that may butt up against a lesbian’s view who wants children and expects that the father will be absent believing that two women can raise a child just as well. Posie as far as I know has never criticised lesbians against this or made judgement of women left on their own to raise children for this or even mentioned it. She does not like to attack other women. Ask Julie about surrogacy as you will be sure to hear how harmful it is to rent out wombs and then remove that baby from its mother I’m sure - Julie has a perspective more in line with protection of women and their rights and as a lesbian and feminist this is to be understood. Posie Parker as a straight married woman with children and who does not identify as a feminist comes at issues from a slightly different perspective. I love both of these women and they both make wonderful and significant contributions towards women’s autonomy and safety. I also wish Julie hadn’t said such things about Kellie Jay Keen though, it seemed counter intuitive to fighting against the threat of trans ideology on women.
Could it be because Parker attracts so many Nazis? Or maybe it's that she has publicly invited men to guard access to women's public toilets with firearms. I'm sure that would be very beneficial for women's safety.
The trouble with modern feminism, for me, is that it still doesn't address the damage done by abusive mothers...we are still banging on about the patriarchy while ignoring the enormous damage caused by covertly narcissistic/psychopathic/sociopathic mothers. Addiction, ADHD, Complex PTSD, Depression, Anxiety are all directly linked to childhood trauma and if we're really honest, most kids are at home with 'mum' most of the time. Those of us who were/are abused by women are silenced by a kind of mass societal gaslighting.
the discourse so insufferably liberal, it’s all playing within the same ideology, just a more equitable distribution of violence. read federici’s ‘caliban and the witch’
So men going to work on a construction site where the risk of injury and death is present is consenting your labor for payment. But prostitution where a woman has sex with a man for payment is not consentual. (and im not talking about the small percentage of close to slavery prostitution.) Both use their body for a chosen work for payment.
The ability to circumvent one's biological femaleness with contraceptive drugs is a gift from the patriarchy we can all be grateful for. In that regard the modern feminist is not that far removed from a transwoman.
Sax work is exploitation. Exploitation of men who pay extortionate rates for it. The state should regulate it, making it safe (drug&health tests, insurance, mandatory training, qualifications, certification, taxes etc) and equal pay for men & wmn at rates comparable to other similar work (eg counselling, eg personal fitness trainer). A portion of the taxes generated could fund programmes to stamp out unregulated criminal saxwork and bring prosecutions.
@YoungWildFree your point about what feminism is/isn't sounds like a 'no true Scotsman' argument. So much damage is done in the name of Feminism, with the support of feminists & wmn & allies, then when people point out the harms/hypocrisy they 'ahh, well that's not *real* feminism'....
Femism is correct and sex work is perfectly legit. You can,t touch woman unless they consent regardless if they are sexworkers However Woman have a right to use men for sex because Men exist to satisfy woman and should;worship woman as Gods because Woman are literal Gods.
@Arvin ant Women have fallen from grace because they are part of man whom is consumed by animal rage. Woman still maintain the virtues that men have forgotten like empathy, love and peace .

Another person delivering common sense, another hero. Thank you Julie.

But it’s the males committing these violence.
It's a very complex topic and seeing it as a black-and-white issue doesn't really help anyone.

i dont understand how that would work.. women hypersexualise themselves so they can attract.

I will get Julie's book, it's now a must read.

straight ppl don't address gay relationships, so why is she addressing ours?

It is interesting that she has good points and very bizarre views in her interpretation of rape, abuse and violence
Masculinity is a feature of both men or women.
Feminism has lost the plot
@3:51
205 comments hot issue then.
Women are told to stay home when in reality men need to be curfewed to stop sexual violence against women.
Agreed. Feminism is fundamentally a one-sided movement that frames gender relations in such an appallingly narrow-minded and sexist way.
Equality? No , it's Matriarchy
Because only women can get pregnant.
Only biological women can get pregnant , so who are these people who can get pregnant?
@@rensha8635 None of that addresses my question. How is "half the planet" excluded by the phrase "people who can get pregnant"? At most, some women who can't get pregnant are excluded, but since the phrase was only ever intended to be used in the context of reproductive health this seems a moot point. If someone were forbidding the use of the term "women" in any context, or even suggesting that its use was offensive in any context, I'd agree with you. But since no-one is, well, I don't.
Quite often, lesbian and gay people have a tendency towards power dynamics as aggressive as in heterosexual relationships if not even more violent.

All I wanted was a burger and fries lady.
I wonder how many men aren't allowed to see their children because of their vile exes?
She is describing two core beliefs of the feminist religion: sexual liberation and destruction of the patriarchy.
Lastly
We haven't been in a patriarchy for at least the sixties
*facepalm*
She always reminded me of Nick Griffin, physically that is.
Funny how feminists become helpless when the time comes to change a tire or sign up for the draft 🤣
Or at a fucking sinking ship or war then they act all I regret everything lovey dovey etc lmao
@@sta5011 the wars that men start? LOL
the discourse so insufferably liberal, it’s all playing within the same ideology, just a more equitable distribution of violence. read federici’s ‘caliban and the witch’
So men going to work on a construction site where the risk of injury and death is present is consenting your labor for payment. But prostitution where a woman has sex with a man for payment is not consentual. (and im not talking about the small percentage of close to slavery prostitution.) Both use their body for a chosen work for payment.
So if women get pregnant through said sex work and have to go and abort or kill the child, is that on a par to your little construction site bullshit?
What a goofy person
old man hating lesbian
Is this meant to be an insult homophobia was so 1980s
What for stating men commit more acts of violence and rape! If more men respected women we wouldn't have feminism would we! 🤪
Sounds like she needs a good strong clear headed man in her life to help her understand where she is abolsutely lost.
The ability to circumvent one's biological femaleness with contraceptive drugs is a gift from the patriarchy we can all be grateful for. In that regard the modern feminist is not that far removed from a transwoman.
No. It isn’t. It’s a gift from science.
Oh honey there is a million years of evolutionary history difference ❤️
Sax work is exploitation. Exploitation of men who pay extortionate rates for it.
The state should regulate it, making it safe (drug&health tests, insurance, mandatory training, qualifications, certification, taxes etc) and equal pay for men & wmn at rates comparable to other similar work (eg counselling, eg personal fitness trainer).
A portion of the taxes generated could fund programmes to stamp out unregulated criminal saxwork and bring prosecutions.
all work is exploitation. welcome to capitalism.
@YoungWildFree so you agree with regulation? There are lots of men exploited by wmn and it has to stop
@YoungWildFree more like rape and slavery
Femism is correct and sex work is perfectly legit. You can,t touch woman unless they consent regardless if they are sexworkers However Woman have a right to use men for sex because Men exist to satisfy woman and should;worship woman as Gods because Woman are literal Gods.
@Arvin ant Women have fallen from grace because they are part of man whom is consumed by animal rage. Woman still maintain the virtues that men have forgotten like empathy, love and peace .
@Arvin ant They are powerful if they can create you.
