Oh my. I have like six or seven backpack stoves, two full sized white gas camp stoves, a barbecue, and three single burner white gas stoves. Yet, after watching your demo I just ordered one of these. :D Thanks for showcasing this great stove!
Thank you!!!!! I just tried useing my new stove. Could not get cannister to release...I ran to your video...lol. to simple...pull it out. THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE
Nice stove Ernie. I really like the looks of it. Great features. I do in fact keep a propane camp stove in my kitchen. Bought it at Walmart many years ago. Uses the green 1 pound propane bottles. I have used it countless times during power outages and it is awesome. I highly recommend having one even if you don't camp. Thanks for sharing brother.
They make a more regular full-size Butane stove that optionally takes Propane that seems like a winner due to being able to use the larger and more available disposable Propane bottles
Very cool stove. A tip to save some money on the canisters: If you have an Asian market nearby, they seem to have pretty good prices for them, sometimes as low as $1/cartridge.
Unique design and definitely something different. They say for backpacking , I go Ultralight and it's over half of my Base weight. Could be a good stove to have for Hurricanes and power outages , if you did not have a Hurricane stove. Backpacking I'll stick to my Alcohol stove or the Wood burner.
Here at the house we have one of the old large Coleman stoves (I think it's 2-burner if I remember correctly) and it works really well. We just keep it in a closet in case of emergencies. This little stove looks like it'd be great for somebody that does Overlanding or camping where they have proximal access to their car but space may still finite. I have a few butane cans that I purchased with a crème brule torch that would work nicely with one of these.
Thanks for showing, a realy cool & compact design, well thought out! In a backup burner I would expect a multy-fuel option. It would want it to work with oil, petroleum or gasoline. Besides, I don't think that size/type gas cartridege is available here in Europe.
Hot damn that's compact compared to the traditional briefcase style, I'm sold! I would suggest that though a butane burner of that design will need a wind shield for sure in windy cold environments
Great idea! I like having emergency backups. One kind of fuel I'd like to recommend is kerosene. It's a lot less combustible, and explosive, than butane, propane, and other popular fuels. Kerosene stoves are still being manufactured, so brand new stoves are available - single burner, two, three, and I think four burners. I think you might be interested. Thanks a lot for your videos.
As a grown man, I don't often use this adjective, but that thing is totally "cute", in a techy sort of way. Sure won't end up broken in the closed mode. Are the canisters more affordable than a comparable screw on propane tank? Let's see how it works in very cold weather. Kinda cool, but not for me. Thanks for the video 👍☺.
Neat stove. I lug in my old 3 burner Griswold propane stove and a 20LB propane tank when we loose power. Little butane stove getting me to thinking for sure.
I still lean towards propane for home, paddling or car camping. Works in more temperatures, higher BTU, more canister size choices and the ability to refill your own 1lb canisters with bigger ones.
I have a bulkier stove and I like it; but I have to admit that the compact nature of this new one is a plus. But I don't know that it is a $50 plus. Maybe if my old one dies or something. Good video Ernie.
Looks nice if being compact is most important. I have a Iwatani ZA-3HP stove that has a plastic case but is the more traditional style. A little bigger but same weight, 50% more heat output (12k vs 8k) and $8 cheaper. Very well made for Chinese table top cooking. I own two of these. Another post notes another Iwatani stove that looks nice and has a 15k burner but costs $90.
the iwatani fw-35, the Cadillac of butane stoves 🥰 it's more windproof than the average butane stove so it's better for picnic use outdoors. 15k but/hr is great for wok cooking as well
Ernie, How would this stove perform outdoors? and how to use a windshield without putting heat towards the butane bottle? . Could you please operate the stove outdoors? I am very interested in buying one. Thanks for the video
I'd also recommend getting a portable CO monitor if you're planning on using the stove indoors and don't already have one. Most of these burners that say they are okay for indoor use are assuming that you have a commercial ventilation system.
That would be useless for this device. You will likely run out of oxygen in a sealed space first. That said these are used indoors world wide without issue.
Another fine video! Looks like an excellent stove for that type fuel canister! Better made than any others I have seen. I did see one of the more standard layouts with a hose to convert to a 1 Lb propane cylinder. Options are nice, but I think this one has em beat! No breeze either! Keep doin these videos. :)
gas one makes a dual fuel propane/butane stove, or you can buy adapters. these canisters are popular with caterers so there's going to be good availability, even if you don't have an Asian supermarket nearby.
I would be concerned with heat damage under the burner if I was using it in a kitchen. I have a one burner Coleman stove that uses those canisters and it's very stable with large pots and the stove sort of protects the surface under it.
How small of pot will fit ? How much is the fuel ? I have one of the old burton branded stoves . The last can of fuel I bought was $2.99 I think ( that was at a truck stop about a hundred yrs ago )
I think a Coleman dual fuel stove that you can operate with gasoline siphoned from your neighbor's car is a much more resilient choice. What is the probability that Walmart will have those butane canisters when the SHTF?
With a weight of 4 pounds it would be pretty good for bashing in zombie skulls especially after you scour the gutted stores for that type of butane cartridge.
I saw this a few weeks ago and was thinking about it myself it's pretty cool new design of an old product. I like the fact that it takes a lot less space to store. Have you tested it out in the yard or in the field yet? I was thinking this would make a great car kit piece.
From a "fumes" perspective, if you smell it, it isn't getting enough oxygen. That means incomplete combustion, the products thereof which contain higher levels of CO (carbon monoxide.) The body "likes" (for some odd reason) CO better than O2 which means the CO binds to the Hemoglobin easier, but it won't release easier either. That is why a little bit is OK, but more than a little bit is bad, very bad. Always provide more than enough air to any gas burning stove (other than exotic gases as a caveat.)
I don’t know about this stove but the Pocket Rocket butane stove says not to use indoors or in a tent because of the carbon monoxide produced. I saw a study of the Pocket Rocket and it produced CO at all flame settings.
millions of satisfied Asians run similar stoves indoors for hot pot/steamboat/sukiyaki cooking. also for Korean BBQ table cooking. I think you're fine.
Great video and review. How long does the burner stay hot after turning it off.? To be able to pack it away after use? It seems like a great stove for some of the types of camping that I do, or a portable stove for my workplace, so I don't always use the microwave oven to cook/reheat food, sometimes also.
Ernie I purchased this on your recommendation and the built in Capizio Igniter doesn't work. I bought it through Amazon and they are blowing me off to speak to GasOne. I can light it with a lighter but it's brand new and it should be in working order.
Clever stove, but twice the price of a no-name oriental stove. And in many years and stoves I've never heard of a butane canister popping out by itself.
A much neater option than the ubiquitous cheapo Chinese butane stove. People should be cautious using butane indoors though, good ventilation essential. My preferred option would be to use a Trangia type burner using Bioethonal as this is the least dangerous fuel to burn indoors, no carbon monoxide but still pumps out Carbon Dioxide small doses of which are safe.

Took me a while to figure it Out too!
999 likes, it was an honor to be the 1000 person to like this, very cool lil stove.
Fab for home or car camping! Thanks!
Very nice. It would be great for a power outage or car camping. Way to share some preparedness tips.
Recommend you look at the Iwatani model 35FW, puts out 15k BTU. Great for emergency cooking. Thanks for video.
Just bought the GasOne 3900p but based on your video I am going to get this too! Thanks
Yeah, this one is COMPACT!
Hello, what time of continuous use gives you a 16 oz. Propane bottle? Thank you
They make a more regular full-size Butane stove that optionally takes Propane that seems like a winner due to being able to use the larger and more available disposable Propane bottles
Very cool stove.
A tip to save some money on the canisters: If you have an Asian market nearby, they seem to have pretty good prices for them, sometimes as low as $1/cartridge.
WOW! Being in LA I'm all over these! I'm so appreciative of the tip. Thank you so much! Cheers :)
Hello. What Asian brands do you use?
in 2023, $2 is a good price 😳 other stores are $4, so Asian markets FTW
Yeah, as soon as I saw the compactness on Amazon, I snatched it up right away 😁
Go, go gadget butane stove! It looked interesting and innovative. It never hurts to have options. Be well, Ernie.
looks great
Looks great, I like it..
Pretty cool, compact design. A bit too expensive for what it is! Gracias Ernie!
Just when I think Ernie's intro music is about to full out Miami Vice, it takes a hard left and goes down on the farm!
Just ordered mine a few minutes ago on Amazon. 🙂
Only thing I don't like about this model is no wind ring to keep the flame from blowing out if you're outdoors on windy day.
Thanks for introducing this product to me...looks like a nice thing to have in a pinch! Keep up the great videos.
Here at the house we have one of the old large Coleman stoves (I think it's 2-burner if I remember correctly) and it works really well. We just keep it in a closet in case of emergencies. Similar story. I already have a small single burner stove. But if I didn’t, I definitely like this one. Great video. Short and to the point.
I like it!
I like it, unique and portable. I'm definitely getting one. Great review Ernie.
It's a thumbs up for me!!!
Similar to the Home and Camp SnowPeak burner
Thanks for showing, a realy cool & compact design, well thought out!
In a backup burner I would expect a multy-fuel option. It would want it to work with oil, petroleum or gasoline.

Hot damn that's compact compared to the traditional briefcase style, I'm sold! I would suggest that though a butane burner of that design will need a wind shield for sure in windy cold environments
Awesome design! Sadly it can't handle big pots, since larger pots will hit the canister compartment...
I really like that stove....you have sold me on it....gonna get me one of those !
Im looking at the dual fuel models. I'd like one that uses the propane canisters I already have for my Big Buddy heater.
Great looking piece of kit. $50 great price. Great for the home, rv or car camping.
Sold!!

Butane and propane stoves cause condensation. Kerosene stoves cause soot. Solar ovens cause raw food and long wait times.
I like this more compact unit than the other stoves
As a grown man, I don't often use this adjective, but that thing is totally "cute", in a techy sort of way. Sure won't end up broken in the closed mode. Are the canisters more affordable than a comparable screw on propane tank? Let's see how it works in very cold weather. Kinda cool, but not for me. Thanks for the video 👍☺.
Hey that's a pretty hot one, I'm going to have to pick that up
Neat stove. I lug in my old 3 burner Griswold propane stove and a 20LB propane tank when we loose power. Little butane stove getting me to thinking for sure.
I recently bought a different Gas One to prep for hurricane season. I wish I'd seen this one. It's so compact and the design is so cool!
I still lean towards propane for home, paddling or car camping. Works in more temperatures, higher BTU, more canister size choices and the ability to refill your own 1lb canisters with bigger ones.
Really cool. Thanks for sharing this. Great idea to have this around.
NEW FOR SURE BUT IN JAPAN THERE IS STILL A MORE COMPACT STOVE BUT SADLY CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE ON AMAZON
I have a bulkier stove and I like it; but I have to admit that the compact nature of this new one is a plus.
But I don't know that it is a $50 plus. Maybe if my old one dies or something. Good video Ernie.

Interesting design thanks for the information. 👍
Great size for camping but you can do way better and cheaper for home backup
Gadget maniac.
After you add the butane bottle it is the same size as the regular has one burners and case.
Nice for home or car camping ,for hiking or trekking I will keep on using my ethanol (not the toxic methanol) mini stove.
Ernie, How would this stove perform outdoors? and how to use a windshield without putting heat towards the butane bottle? . Could you please operate the stove outdoors? I am very interested in buying one. Thanks for the video

Asian people love these for hot pot on the dining table.... there is no CO risk unless you're in a well sealed car or something.
looks good
Keep well Ernie

Its qwuirky . But it doesnt store the butane like more standard models of the recent butane stoves
I think being locked into yet another type of fuel container makes this a no go for me. But I do like the design
Ken Siebert I have to agree, I already have too many propane, butane, alcohol, white gas and gasoline containers around. Sure is tempting though!
I would be concerned with heat damage under the burner if I was using it in a kitchen. I have a one burner Coleman stove that uses those canisters and it's very stable with large pots and the stove sort of protects the surface under it.

Cheap, Korean/Taiwanese, but works well
Can you put a 12" cast iron skillet without it touching the orange base?
The four pot stands in the new butane stove appear to be plastic. Have they melted or distorted at all? Thanks for looking at this.
With a weight of 4 pounds it would be pretty good for bashing in zombie skulls especially after you scour the gutted stores for that type of butane cartridge.
To COO-AH-EL!!!!! 😎
I saw this a few weeks ago and was thinking about it myself it's pretty cool new design of an old product. I like the fact that it takes a lot less space to store. Have you tested it out in the yard or in the field yet? I was thinking this would make a great car kit piece.
Thank you 👍. Going on Amazon now to check to take a look. Is it ok from a “fumes” perspective to burn butane in home?
From a "fumes" perspective, if you smell it, it isn't getting enough oxygen. That means incomplete combustion, the products thereof which contain higher levels of CO (carbon monoxide.) The body "likes" (for some odd reason) CO better than O2 which means the CO binds to the Hemoglobin easier, but it won't release easier either. David Rickard Thank you ...

OnTheRiver66 Thanks 👍
millions of satisfied Asians run similar stoves indoors for hot pot/steamboat/sukiyaki cooking. also for Korean BBQ table cooking. I think you're fine.
Are you concerned about CO when used indoors?
Could be used indoors?
yes, maybe not in a tiny sealed room or tent, but an average house no problem
Im stuck between this and the Snow Peak Home and Camp burner. Do you think the extra $50 is worth it?
Guessing a kitchen mandolin...
Great video and review.
How long does the burner stay hot after turning it off.? To be able to pack it away after use? It seems like a great stove for some of the types of camping that I do, or a portable stove for my workplace, so I don't always use the microwave oven to cook/reheat food, sometimes also.
Buy svea kero burner and do a review keep up the awesome work
Looks nice and compact. How well do you think it'll do in breezy conditions? Windscreen needed?
Ernie I purchased this on your recommendation and the built in Capizio Igniter doesn't work. I bought it through Amazon and they are blowing me off to speak to GasOne. I can light it with a lighter but it's brand new and it should be in working order.
Clever stove, but twice the price of a no-name oriental stove. And in many years and stoves I've never heard of a butane canister popping out by itself.
Hi, can this little butane stove be use in an apartment for any emergencies ?? Thank you
Random question.. does it matter brand of fuel?
I've tried several, they're all the same as far as I can tell
How about the SOTO cassette stove Ernie? Any thoughts?
Another great review 👍 I like it compact, easy to use, fast boil.
cant really work a wok on this one.
FYI all..Logan channel below is an automated curated channel....
How long does a gas canister last? Thanks for sharing your video with us.
Curious about this too.
How long does a bottle of butane last?
Why not propane? Half the price for fuel and stoves and can buy 15lb tanks
you're not supposed to bring the big tanks indoors... shop around for butane, it's cheaper than 1lb propane.
Hi Earnie. will it store a butane canister inside disconnected for travel?
no, the burner folds up inside the cavity.
do you cut your own hair too?
They copied Snow Peak Home & Camp (which is EXPENSIVE!).
While this has potential, in a long term situation. Your better off with a multi fuel unit. You'll thank me later.
What do you recommend?
A much neater option than the ubiquitous cheapo Chinese butane stove.

My preferred option would be to use a Trangia type burner using Bioethonal as this is the least dangerous fuel to burn indoors, no carbon monoxide but still pumps out Carbon Dioxide small doses of which are safe.
Lower priced copy of snow peak original
